The Four Forces of Evil Destroying America

By Brannon S. Howse

If the culture war is lost, exactly how did we lose it? What are the goals and tactics of the spiritual battle that continues? Where are we going, and how should we prepare for whatever comes next? These are the questions I will answer in this book. I’ll share answers that I would guess only 1% of Americans, if that, know and understand.

The people and worldviews discussed in this book are neither random, nor unconnected. The ideas, beliefs, convictions, and values of these 21 influencers have, whether you know it or not, affected your faith, family, and freedoms. Their influence is so pervasive that one of my biggest challenges in writing this book has been knowing when to stop writing. The transformation of America is happening so fast that each day brings a new revelation of what government, religious, and educational leaders are doing to accomplish their goal of re-making America in very un-American ways.

Once you’ve explored the worldviews of these individuals and you understand the nature of the spiritual battle in which we’re engaged, you’ll want to visit my website, worldviewtimes.com, regularly to keep up with this astounding transformation. The speed at which the world is moving toward a “new order” is bewildering and stands in complete contrast to a Biblical worldview and America's founding documents.

God created and ordained certain institutions here on earth that are charged with different but complementary responsibilities. To bring honor and glory to God and to fulfill His commandments and objectives, He established the family (Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 2:21-25), church government (Acts 20:28, Titus 1:5-16, Ephesians 5:22-27, 1 Timothy 3:1-15), and civil government (Exodus 18:20-25, Romans 13:1-7, Roman 13:1-7, 1 Peter 2:13-17).

Mimicking God’s approach, Satan is using four human institutions to wage war against God's three. Although I’ve read the end of the story (Satan loses), for now the battle rages, and many victims will be taken spiritually captive to his lies and deceitful worldview.

Anti-Biblical worldviews have infected virtually every arena of life—law, science, economics, history, family, social issues, education, and religion, and these worldviews consistently connect back to four major forces destroying America from within. The government-corporate complex (Corporate Fascism), which includes the State itself, non-government organizations, trade unions, and the UN; occultism and pagan spirituality; the apostate Church; and the educational establishment have attacked on all fronts, aggressively helping national and international governments accomplish their ultimate goal of global control.

With regard to labor unions: for years Communists have used them to aid the socialist cause. Lenin specifically outlined this strategy in his book, “Left-Wing” Communism, an Infantile Disorder. He explains that infiltrating unions is a key to carrying out the communist agenda. Once in place unions can be mobilized to stir up chaos, create discontent with capitalism, and use strikes to bring economic and political pressure to bear on the opposition.

Other groups are in play on behalf of socialism as well. Apollo Alliance is one such group that brings together community organizers, environmental radicals, and unions with the help of government officials and tax-payer funds. The personal history of Jeff Jones, leader of Apollo, reveals much about his worldview and where he wants to take America. Although Jones once spent 11 years running from the law, the September 9, 2009 New York Post reveals what he is up to today:

[quote] With Mark Rudd and Bill Ayers, Jones in 1969 co-founded the radical Weathermen, which orchestrated the violent "Days of Rage" riots in Chicago, and later undertook an anti-government bombing campaign. Jones is still proud of his terrorist activities—saying as recently as 2004: "To this day, we still, lots of us, including me, still think it was the right thing to try to do." Now Jones is back to revolutionary organizing—but with taxpayers footing the bill. He's the director of the Apollo Alliance's New York affiliate and a consultant to the national group. [end quote]

According to the Post:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid recently credited Apollo with helping him write the stimulus bill and getting it passed. Yet the stimulus' "green jobs" provisions funnel federal tax dollars to unions, green groups and community organizers—that is, the organizations that make up Apollo.

Radicals are also partial to using labor unions, environmental groups, and community organizers like ACORN to move forward their anti-American, anti-Christian worldview agenda.

But all these strategies eventually converge. The question for humanistic leaders as the world neared the 21st century was how to bring the worldviews, values, and agendas of the 21 people we examine in this book to reality through legislation, international treaties, agreements, and public policy. Their agenda could not be optional but compulsory, and it must be backed up with rewards for those who comply and punishment and reprisal for those who dissent. It must be international, not regional. So, after years of writing papers and holding conferences, the major world players—including America—met for the 1992 United Nation's Earth Summit in Brazil. The summit meeting crafted a laudable-sounding term to mask their real intentions. In true Orwellian style, “sustainable development” became the new buzzword.

By design of these agents of change, “sustainable development” is difficult to define. But it involves the promotion of socialism, global governance, planned economies, and the end of individual liberties. From the ’92 Earth Summit came two documents: "Agenda 21" and the "Biodiversity Treaty." Tom DeWeese of the American Policy Center has been one of America's leading opponents of the freedom-robbing agenda in these two plans. He summarizes the threat this way:

[quote] Here the ideas were officially presented to world leaders that all government on every level, needed to be transformed into top-down control over housing, food production, energy, water, private property, education, population control, gun control, transportation, social welfare, medical care, and literally every aspect of our lives. To get the full picture, add to these the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child and the convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, both of which create UN mandates on abortion, child rearing, and government interference on families.1   [end quote]

The leaders in the educational establishment, the apostate Church, occultism/pagan spirituality, or the government-corporate complex want the idea of social and spiritual evolution embraced worldwide in order to bring about their desired "new order" or "new world order." Secular humanist and Fabian Socialist Julian Huxley (brother of Aldous) was the First Director General of the United Nations Educational, Science, and Culture Organization (UNESCO). He explained, "The task is to help the emergence of a single world culture…"

This “task” is even at work in America’s political arena. Bill Clinton's mentor and former professor Carrol Quigley made this clear in his book, Tragedy and Hope:

[quote] The chief problem of American political life...has been how to make the two Congressional parties more national and international. The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out” at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. [quote]

And it’s working. While there are some truly conservative Republicans, most embrace the same worldview and agenda of their fellow politicians across the aisle. This is a form of Marx’s dialectic process, the true intent of which is revealed by Julian Huxley:

[quote]…at the moment, two opposing philosophies of life confront each other…You may categorize the two philosophies as super nationalism, or as individualism versus collectivism…or as capitalism versus communism, or as Christianity verses Marxism. Can these opposites be reconciled, this antithesis be resolved in a higher synthesis? I believe not only that this can happen, but that, through the inexorable dialectic of evolution, it must happen. [end quote]

Those who buy into Darwinian or neo-Darwinian evolution and apply it to society embrace this concept of social evolution. There are others who apply it not only to the social and cultural arenas but also to the spiritual world. Generally, these are New Age devotees of the New Spirituality. Generally—but not always.
