A Religious Global Council and Planetary Court

By Brannon S. Howse

Less than four years ago, most of the world and most Americans had never heard of the man now called Pope Francis. Yet, in less than half a decade, he has become an international celebrity as well as a world religious and political leader. Even news reporters appeared stunned at the size of the crowds that turned out to catch a glimpse of this man. Religious leaders from all denominations, including so-called evangelicals on both the right and the left, praised him.

Pope Francis is a radical leftist who embraces many of the fascist, communitarian ideas, as we have already discussed. Yet, while in America, he was praised and embraced by numerous “evangelical” leaders. I also noticed something else about Pope Francis and his visit to America. It seems that Religious Right groups either praised Pope Francis or stayed quiet during his visit. The silence of some would suggest that the religious right wants to go after liberal democrats, but when Pope Francis preaches his radical environmentalism, anti-capitalism, and global governance at the United Nations and before the U.S. Congress, many of the “warriors” of the Religious Right were missing in action. Could it be that, at the end of the day, most of the Religious Right in America are not really interested in truth or the Gospel, but in money and power? Could it be that most of the rabid right rabble rousers did not refute the false gospel of the pope and his radical globalist agenda because they did not want to offend their Roman Catholic donors? Could it be that the “conservative” right has little to no concern for biblical truth and the biblical Gospel? Lip-service, it would seem, can also be silent.

In his address before a joint session of the United States Congress on September 24th, 2015, Pope Francis praised Dorothy Day. If you’ve read Religious Trojan Horse, then you know about the worldview of Dorothy Day. While the term communitarian is thought to date back to the 1840s, communitarianism has been made popular in the twentieth century by Dorothy Day, a Roman Catholic who published the Catholic Worker Newspaper, a mouthpiece for communitarianism and social justice causes.

Pope Francis also honored Thomas Merton, an American Catholic monk who promoted New Age Eastern mysticism. Through many of his 70 books, Merton is known for promoting Buddhism, as well as contemplative.

Along with New Age socialists, Pope Francis was also praised by many so-called Christians and “Christian” leaders. And anyone who took issue with Pope Francis in social media was immediately attacked, even by non-Catholics who simply “love the message of Pope Francis.”

I experienced this first-hand after posting an article about Pope Francis online. A follower of the Worldview Weekend Facebook page asked a sincere question. She wanted to know specifically what Pope Francis was saying that was not biblical. I responded with a post that came under immediate attack by both Roman Catholics and self-described evangelicals. Here is what I wrote that so many found troubling:

Here is my quick list of what Pope Francis has said, or his actions and ceremonies have promoted, while in America this week:

He lets people call him his holiness but he is not holy, but a sinful man.

He holds up a cross with Christ on it, but Christ is not on the cross.

Most every Catholic altar has a relic such as a bone from someone they call a
saint. The priest will kiss the altar that contains the relic. This is total paganism.

He called down his false christ and commanded him to get into the wafer, known as transubstantiation, when he held mass in DC, and will do the same in NY and Philadelphia.

He promotes the false doctrine that the Catholic Mass can forgive your sins.

He holds up the Eucharist for people to worship, which is idolatry.

He was preaching global warming, but 2 Peter 3:10 says God will be the one that destroys the earth by real global warming.

He has been preaching social justice (socialism), which is in direct contradiction to biblical teaching on coveting and stealing.

He has claimed to be able to bless people by laying on hands or crossing them.

He claims to be the head of the church.

He claims to be part of an apostolic line dating back to the Apostle Peter, which they falsely say was the first Pope.

He is calling for us to ignore our borders, but God calls for borders and nations.

He is calling for global governance, which again is in rebellion against God’s commands at many levels.

He forbids priests and nuns to marry, and the Bible says those that do are teaching the doctrine of demons. First Timothy 4:1: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.” Then 1 Timothy includes some of those doctrines of demons, and in verse 3 we read: “forbidding to marry.”

He believes in indulgences (selling of forgiveness), which is a real money maker for the Church of Rome, and a false gospel.

He went to the Shrine of Immaculate Conception in DC that is referring to Mary, but she was not born without sin. Luke 1 says that Mary was in need of a Savior. Only sinners need a Savior. In Luke 1:47 Mary said, “And my spirit has rejoiced in God, my Savior.”

In his speech before Congress, he praised Thomas Merton, a mystic Catholic that promoted Buddhism.

In his speech before Congress, he praised Catholic socialist Dorothy Day.

In his remarks on the balcony of the U.S. Capitol, he referred to everyone as God’s children. That is false. Everyone is not a child of God. There are only two camps, according to Jesus in John 8. There are those that are in the camp of God through faith and repentance, and those that are in the camp of Satan.

Pope Francis held an ecumenical service with all faiths represented at Ground Zero in New York. Yet, 2 John 9-11, 2 Corinthians 6:14, and Romans 16:17 declares that Christians are not to take part in spiritual enterprises with those preaching another Jesus and another gospel.

He claims to be the Vicar of Christ on earth, and I could go on and on and on.

Watching the reception that Pope Francis received in America, with the packed out stadiums and streets lined with tens of thousands, reminded me of the many debased and foolish “German Christians” that responded the same way to a man in the 1930s by the name of Adolf Hitler. While this next bit of commentary may be offensive to some, the facts are clear. Pope Francis does not represent a worldview that is all that different from the fascist, New Age, radical environmentalist, population control agenda that was found in Germany during the Third Reich.

As we have already discussed, Hitler was perhaps the original promoter of what is called sustainable development today. Yet, Pope Francis offered the opening address for the Sustainable Development Conference at the United Nations on September 25th, 2015. Francis continued promoting the same globalist propaganda he trumpeted in his June 2015 encyclical. Yet, a radical New Age, population control “scientist” stands behind Pope Francis and his encyclical.

The June 18, 2015, Sydney Morning Herald reported the following:

[quote] When Pope Francis seeks advice, one doesn’t hesitate to respond—even if you’re a German professor of theoretical physics who had been baptized as a Protestant and is no longer an active member of the church. “The Pope is interfering in the writing of my book,” Hans Joachim Schellnhuber jokingly told visiting Australian journalists on Tuesday, just days before he was to help unveil the pontiff’s controversial encyclical on climate change in Rome. [end quote]

Like Pope Francis, Schellnhuber also attacks free-market capitalism and private property, as explained in Peter Hannam’s article:

[quote] Careful not to reveal details of the new doctrine—which sat covered amid piles of notes for his latest book in his Potsdam office—Professor Schellnhuber said he shared the pontiff’s concerns about global warming and how it would affect especially the poor and the wider environment.

“It is the consumption of the upper and middle classes that is destabilising the climate, and it’s not the quest of the poor to have some access to resources, like clean water,” the professor said. “It’s not poverty that is destroying the planet, it’s wealth. [end quote]

As to his views on population control, numerous media outlets reported on Schellnhuber’s 2009 speech in which he declared:

[quote] In a very cynical way, it’s a triumph for science because at last we have stabilized something—namely the estimates for the carrying capacity of the planet, namely below 1 billion people. [end quote]

Schellnhuber also proposes an Earth Constitution, a Global Council, and a Planetary Court to enforce the Earth Constitution, apparently to punish those who harm Mother Earth. Can you say, “global Religious Reich”? Author and researcher William Briggs, who has pored over the white papers and books of Schellnhuber, summarizes Schellnhuber’s various ideas this way:

[quote] The Earth Constitution would transcend the UN Charter and identify those first principles guiding humanity in its quest for freedom, dignity, security and sustainability;

The Global Council would be an assembly of individuals elected directly by all people on Earth, where eligibility should be not constrained by geographical, religious, or cultural quotas; and

The Planetary Court would be a transnational legal body open to appeals from everybody, especially with respect to violations of the Earth Constitution. [end quote]
