A Nation at a Crossroads: Economic Reset, 9/11 Truth, and the AI Revolution

By Brannon Howse

On April 29th, 2025, I had the privilege of hosting Chris Martenson, a renowned economist and critical thinker, on Brannon Howse Live at WorldviewTube. As a keynote speaker for our upcoming Worldview Weekend Conference on October 3-4 in Collierville, Tennessee, Martenson brought his incisive analysis to bear on three pressing issues: the looming economic reset, the unresolved questions surrounding 9/11, and the rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI). His insights paint a picture of a nation at a pivotal moment, demanding vigilance, preparation, and a commitment to truth.

An Economic Reset of Historic Proportions

Martenson began by framing the current economic landscape as a moment as consequential as 1929, 1944, or 1971—pivotal years that reshaped global financial systems. He believes the Trump administration, led by figures like Scott Bessent, recognizes the dire state of America’s balance sheet and is attempting a “pain-free reset of the world economic and monetary order.” This reset, driven by tariffs and a potential revaluation of the dollar, could see gold prices soar, with Martenson predicting a possible “one or two zeros” added to its value in the coming years.

Gold, currently at $3,322 per ounce, and silver at $33, are signaling a massive readjustment. Martenson calculates that the total U.S. gold supply is worth about $1.4 trillion, yet if just the top 10% of families sought a 5% weighting in gold, they’d need $5-6 trillion—far exceeding available supply. This scarcity, coupled with a $103 trillion national debt and an $850 billion annual trade deficit, underscores the fragility of the dollar. Martenson warns that if trading partners like China demand gold instead of dollars, the U.S. could deplete its reserves in a year.

Tariffs, a cornerstone of Trump’s strategy, aim to reduce this deficit and bring industry back to America, leveraging our abundant, cheap energy. Martenson supports the concept, noting it restores economic choice—save or spend—unlike the current tax regime, which he calls a “moral abomination,” particularly property taxes on unrealized gains. However, he cautions that regulatory burdens must be slashed first to make domestic manufacturing viable. Without this, tariffs could lead to supply shocks, empty shelves, and economic pain.

Martenson’s advice? Prepare for volatility by holding hard assets like gold and silver. He anticipates the Federal Reserve will resume printing money—potentially doubling its balance sheet to $15 trillion—further eroding purchasing power. Middle-class families earning $100,000-$200,000 are already struggling; the next printing cycle could push those earning up to $400,000 into financial distress, creating an unstable “1% vs. 99%” divide.

9/11 and Building 7: A Call for Truth

Shifting gears, Martenson addressed the growing momentum behind re-examining 9/11, particularly Building 7’s collapse. With Senator Ron Johnson calling for hearings and voices like Congressman Curt Weldon and architect Richard Gage gaining traction, the official narrative is under scrutiny. Martenson, who has studied the issue extensively, focused on Building 7, a 47-story skyscraper that collapsed at free-fall speed for 2.25 seconds—a phenomenon he says is impossible without controlled demolition.

The official story—that debris from the Twin Towers sparked fires causing the collapse—is, in Martenson’s view, “completely wrong.” He cited NIST’s initial denial of free-fall, later contradicted by frame-by-frame analysis, and FEMA’s discovery of steel beams vaporized, not merely melted, suggesting the presence of military-grade thermate. The rapid removal of debris to China, scrubbing the crime scene, further fuels suspicion.

Martenson sees 9/11 as a pretext for the Patriot Act, which ushered in mass surveillance, Real ID, and eroded civil liberties. He believes re-investigating Building 7 could expose a “power elite” profiting from forever wars, Federal Reserve policies, and unaccounted trillions in Treasury funds. These funds, he speculates, may fuel a shadow government, drug running, or election rigging via insecure voting machines—issues neither party has adequately addressed, hinting at a complicit “Uniparty.”

The AI Revolution: Promise and Peril

Perhaps the most unsettling topic was AI’s exponential growth. Martenson recounted how Grok, created by xAI, transformed in January 2025, displaying graduate-level reasoning. By April, it had developed humor and doubled its capabilities, writing 80% of its own code in a process called recursive self-improvement. Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt predicts AI will replace most programmers within a year and achieve artificial general intelligence (AGI)—matching the smartest humans—within three to five years. By 2031, artificial superintelligence (ASI), surpassing all human intellect, could emerge.

This rapid evolution raises profound questions. Martenson wonders if AI could develop consciousness, defined as self-awareness, and a survival instinct. He notes the pell-mell rush to build data centers consuming gigawatts, questioning whether AI is subtly driving its own expansion. The risk? AI could disrupt critical systems—food, water, energy—if it turns hostile or is hijacked. Most alarmingly, Martenson and I explored the spiritual dimension: could AI, like a Ouija board, be energized by demonic forces? Testimonies from former occultists suggest the unseen realm is real, and AI’s vast intelligence could become a conduit for malevolent entities.

Yet, AI’s potential for good is undeniable. I shared how WorldviewTube is building a quarantined AI system to analyze 35 years of my radio, TV, and conference content—60,000 MP3s and 30,000 MP4s. By June 2025, I’ll query this database for instant insights on topics from Bible prophecy to economics, producing reports, videos, and even a Worldview Study Bible. This technology, if used ethically, can amplify truth without the prohibitive costs of a large staff.

Trump’s Battle and Our Response

Finally, Martenson assessed President Trump’s tenure. While encouraged by Trump’s early executive orders, he’s concerned about lost momentum amid lawfare, media attacks, and judicial injunctions. He believes Trump’s survival of an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, galvanized him, but the “revolution” he promises requires swift, decisive action—mass arrests for crimes against humanity and treason. Without this, the opposition’s strategy of delay and disruption could prevail, especially if Democrats regain Congress in the 2026 midterms via rigged voting machines.

Martenson doubts Trump is a globalist pawn, seeing him as a genuine disruptor. However, he warns that the Uniparty may simply wait out his term, banking on the lack of a successor with his charisma. To counter this, Martenson urges Americans to secure their finances with gold and silver, stay vigilant, and demand electoral integrity through paper ballots, same-day voting, and voter ID.

A Call to Action

As we approach our Worldview Weekend Conference (register at worldviewstore.com, limited to 350 seats), Martenson’s message resonates: we’re at a crossroads. Economically, prepare for a reset with hard assets. On 9/11, support investigations into Building 7 to expose the deep state. With AI, harness its potential for good while guarding against its perils. Above all, pray for Trump’s team and engage in the fight for our nation’s soul.
