Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.
China is attempting to block the sale of dozens of ports worldwide, including two key ports in the Panama Canal, to a group led by US investing giant BlackRock. The proposed transaction was triggered when President Trump expressed concern about Beijing’s sway over the strategic shipping lanes through Panama.
On March 4, CK Hutchison, a Hong Kong-based conglomerate controlled by 96-year-old billionaire Li Ka-shing, announced plans to sell 43 port facilities globally, including critical ports at both ends of the Panama Canal and near the Suez Canal, for $22.8 billion.
But China’s State Administration for Market Regulation unexpectedly initiated an investigation on Friday into potential violations of Chinese anti-monopoly laws, effectively stalling the deal.
China President Xi Jinping is reportedly angry over CK Hutchison’s plans to sell its Panama Canal port operations, particularly because the company did not consult Beijing beforehand, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The deal, spearheaded by BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, a longtime Trump confidante, called for an agreement to be signed by April 2, though it now is likely that the Wednesday deadline will be missed.
Insiders say Chinese leadership had hoped to leverage the port issue in its talks with the Trump administration, only to be caught off guard by the deal’s sudden progress.
Trump hailed the development as a strategic win over China, casting Panama as a key battleground in the broader US-China struggle for global influence.

Elon Musk, the White House adviser and head of the Department of Government Efficiency, has claimed roughly 2.1 million non-citizens received Social Security numbers in 2024.
Speaking at a conference alongside his longtime friend Antonio Gracias, CEO of Valor Equity Partners, Musk said DOGE uncovered some eye-opening numbers regarding Social Security fraud in 2024.
Gracias stated:
“There’s a lot of great people there that showed us a lot of waste, so that came with a big list of stuff. But this is what jumped out at us. In 2021, you see 270,000 people; goes all the way to 2.1 million in 2024. These are non-citizens that are getting Social Security numbers.”

The violence against Tesla is building in cities across the country: vehicles set on fire in Las Vegas, graffiti on cars in Colorado, a man caught on camera keying a Model X in Dallas.
Now, Tesla owners are under attack in Arizona.
Recently, a woman who wants to remain anonymous under the alias of Susan, told Arizona’s Family that she was along Route 66 in Flagstaff when another vehicle started chasing her.
Susan told the outlet:
“I’m just appalled. I didn’t buy my car for a political statement. I bought my car because it’s really fun to drive. My politics have nothing to do with that. I’m ashamed of our society and what they are doing.”
Susan has video of the Tesla attack in Flagstaff last week. It shows a green car pulling up next to her Tesla and then swerving in front of it to box her in.
The driver then walks over to the 61-year-old woman in the Tesla and, reportedly, starts hitting her while she’s behind the wheel.

Flagstaff police later cited the suspect, who is now due in court on Monday.
The incident is the latest attack or threat against Tesla drivers in Arizona, targeting them because of the car they drive.
Arizona’s Family spoke to another woman who said she left a grocery store in Flagstaff recently and found a note on her car that said, “She’s a Nazi and a loser.”
A few weeks later, she received a threatening text calling her a “Racist POS.”
“It’s wrong, and it’s deplorable,” said the victim. “I think they are just hating people and not really hurting a company or Tesla.”
This second Tesla owner in Arizona, like the first one featured in the video, recently signed up for a gun safety course at Timberline Firearms, north of Flagstaff.
Gun shop owner Rob Wilso told the outlet:
“They were targeted because they drove a Tesla, and as a result felt quite vulnerable. They were surprised someone would do something like that and realized if they were doing it, and targeting them because of car they drive, they needed to take additional measures to protect themselves.”
The radicalized anti-Trump group Takedown Tesla has scheduled more than 200 protests at Tesla dealerships nationwide this weekend.

Italian police said they are looking into all avenues and haven’t ruled out arson.
According to CNN, the fire comes after a string of reports across Italy in recent weeks of Tesla vehicles being vandalized and defaced, with anti-Elon Musk and anti-Donald Trump sentiments written with spray paint.
Another car dealership burned down in northern Rome a week ago, destroying 30 cars, including used Teslas. No cause has been determined.
Also in Rome, several Teslas in the neighborhood where Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni grew up, were defaced, according to police and social media posts. Meloni and Musk are self-described close friends, but the Italian leader has not commented on the vandalism. Tesla dealerships in Milan have also been targeted by environmental groups in recent weeks.

State and federal authorities conducted a raid on Wednesday at Wellmade Industries, a flooring-manufacturing plant in Bartow County, Georgia, as part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal trafficking of migrant labor.
The investigation, which has been active for several months, focused on allegations that the Chinese-owned business illegally employed foreign nationals under coercive and exploitative conditions.
Zhu Chen, the owner of Wellmade Industries, was arrested during the operation. Chen faces three felony counts of trafficking persons for labor servitude.
A second individual, a woman also with the last name Chen, was taken into custody on similar charges. The two are accused of luring workers from overseas, primarily from China, and subjecting them to harsh working conditions with minimal pay.
At the time of the raid, federal agents were actively searching the Wellmade facility and several nearby homes believed to house employees. Authorities are investigating claims that these workers, who number between 300 and 400, were coerced into labor under fraudulent pretenses, being promised better pay and working conditions than they received.
The workers were reportedly not paid fairly for their labor, and many were subjected to unsafe working conditions.
The operation involved agents from multiple agencies, including the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office.

The New Mexico Republican Party headquarters was firebombed early Sunday morning. Party leaders say the building was destroyed.
The attackers also spray painted the words “ICE=KKK” on the outside of the building, Political Insider reported.
“This horrific attack, fueled by hatred and intolerance, is a direct assault on our values, freedoms, and our right to political expression,” the state GOP wrote in a statement.
New Mexico GOP chairwoman Amy Barela stated:
“Those who resort to violence to undermine our state and nation must be held accountable, and our state leaders must reinforce through decisive action that these cowardly attacks will not be tolerated. It is part of a disturbing pattern of politically motivated violence that has plagued our country, fueled in part by the silence and implicit encouragement from progressive leaders who refuse to condemn these acts.”
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, released a statement condemning the attack and said state officials would assist the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as needed during the investigation.
Police have yet to make any arrests, but make no mistake: the Democrats are to blame for the violence. All the rhetoric, the accusations of Nazism, the attacks on Tesla drivers. They bear full responsibility.
The local Republicans said this is not an isolated incident. It is part of a disturbing pattern of politically motivated violence that has plagued our country, fueled in part by the silence and implicit encouragement from progressive leaders who refuse to condemn these acts. Their failure to stand against political violence has created an environment where attacks like this are not only possible but increasingly frequent.

The administration of President Donald Trump will modernize the aging U.S. nuclear-weapons arsenal without increasing its size, Energy Secretary Chris Wright has said.
In an interview with Fox News on Sunday, Wright described the U.S. nuclear stockpile as aging and “getting obsolete.” He added that the country needs to modernize, claiming that no efforts had been taken toward that aim in the past three decades.
Wright stressed that modernization does not mean increasing the number of nuclear warheads.
He said, “We don’t need to grow our nuclear stockpile,” but rather to “make sure everything is in tip-top shape.”
The U.S. official did not provide details on the number of warheads to be refurbished or the deadline for the effort.
Wright added:
“The best thing about nuclear weapons is to not use them… And to not use them, the world has to have 100% confidence that America leads the world in the weapons technology, the reliability, and the assessment of our stockpile.”
He claimed that the Manhattan Project, which resulted in the creation of the first ever atomic bomb and the subsequent bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II, had provided the U.S. with the nuclear capacity to “win” the Cold War. He also predicted the country would be in “a much better position in a few years… again, with a president that’s focused on that.”
Despite the nuclear modernization pledge, Trump earlier this month called for global disarmament, saying “it’d be great if everybody would get rid of their nuclear weapons. Russia and us have by far the most. China will have an equal amount within four or five years… Denuclearization would be incredible,” the president added.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov responded by saying that while Russia is open to talks with the U.S. on the issue, “it is impossible to just overlook European nuclear arsenals in this dialogue.”
The U.S. has more than 5,000 nuclear warheads, with roughly 1,770 deployed. Russia holds approximately 5,880 warheads, of which around 1,700 are deployed.

The Center Square reports that U.S. taxpayers have shelled out tens of thousands of dollars in recent years to the U.S. Department of Agriculture for research on LGBT issues, the kind of funding now under scrutiny by the Trump administration.
The research relies on conducting interviews, in one case for $373 per Zoom call, to explore a researcher's hypothesis of widespread discrimination against queer farmers.
For instance, one taxpayer-funded research grant studied “queer farmers’ quality of life in Pennsylvania,” federal records show, one of several grants of its kind.
The Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Projects, a federally funded research arm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, paid $14,997 for the 2018 grant.
While this grant is relatively small, there are others, and critics argue the spending is a distraction from helping farmers and lowering food prices, which soared during the Biden administration alongside this kind of research funding.
The aforementioned 2018 queer farmers grant went to Pennsylvania State University for a project titled: “Sexuality and Sustainable Agriculture: Examining Queer Farmers’ Quality of Life in Pennsylvania.”
The grant proposal says the topic is “woefully understudied.”
I don’t know. Maybe because it’s not worth studying?
The grant’s proposal abstract states:
“The deeply entrenched assumption of heteronormativity in farming has excluded queer farmers from full inclusion and benefits from agriculture, even within sustainable agriculture.”
The graduate student who assisted with the project, Michaela Hoffelmeyer, presented the findings to the Rural Sociological Society Annual Meeting in Richmond, Virginia.
Her research highlighted some of the challenges faced by queer farmers, reporting that “findings suggest that transgender, non-binary, and women farmers faced additional hurdles” but they create support groups to overcome those challenges.
I’m telling you, you can’t make this stuff up.
Hoffelmeyer has since gone on to join the faculty at the University of Wisconsin, where she has become a voice in the media and public policy on LGBT issues.
Hoffelmeyer says on the university website that she applies “feminist, queer, and labor theories” in her research to “inform agricultural programming and policy on how to make shifts to support viability, well-being, and sustainability.”

Time now for our nightly Worldview Report commentary.
Marine Le Pen was barred from seeking public office for five years, a French court ruled today after the right-wing leader was found guilty of embezzlement by a criminal court.
The news means the current frontrunner in the 2027 presidential election cannot run unless she successfully appeals. Previously, she indicated this would be her final try at the presidency.
According to an article published in The New York Times, Le Pen has denied any wrongdoing in the case, which involved accusations that her party, the National Rally, illegally used several million euros in European Parliament funds for expenses between 2004 and 2016.
The court also sentenced Le Pen, 56, to four years in prison, with two of those years suspended. The court said the other two could be served under a form of house arrest. She was fined 100,000 euros, or about $108,000.
Le Pen’s electoral ineligibility is effective immediately. As a result, only a successful appeal before the 2027 deadline to enter the race would allow her to run.
That is not impossible, but it will be extremely difficult, according to the Times’ article, which noted that the appeals process in France is notoriously slow, and even if a new trial took place before the election, it is unclear whether the prosecution’s case would be overturned.”
Le Pen had emerged as the frontrunner in France's 2027 presidential race at a time when France’s current globalist leader, President Emannuel Macron, is wildly unpopular.
Don’t be surprised if he, someone else from his center-right globalist party, or a leftist ends up in office in 2027.
This case has shades of the establishment backlash and lawfare against Donald Trump here in the U.S., against Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil and Matteo Salvini in Italy, among others in recent years where a populist leader rises up, only to be shot down by the deep state. In the case of Trump, it backfired. We’ll see if that trend repeats itself in France.
And don’t forget what just happened in Canada, where Canadians were celebrating after PM Justin Trudeau announced his resignation, only to wake up one morning and learn he’d been replaced by an even more notorious globalist, the international banker and deep-state lackey Mark Carney.
But any way you slice it, this shows that the deep state is not relegated to Washington. It also runs through Ottawa, London and Paris, among other global cities and globalist nerve centers.
That does it for this edition of the Worldview Report. Thanks for tuning in and supporting this broadcast.
Until next time…
