The Slaughter in Syria: A Wake-Up Call for the Church and the World

Folks, if you tuned into Brannon Howse Live last night, March 10, 2025, you know we didn’t pull any punches. The world is on fire, and the mainstream media is sitting on their hands, ignoring the slaughter of over a thousand Christians in Syria this past weekend. This isn’t just another news story—it’s a spiritual and humanitarian crisis that demands our attention, our prayers, and our action. Through the lens of a Judeo-Christian worldview, we’re going to unpack what’s happening, why it matters, and what we can do about it.

A Bloodbath Ignored

Let’s start with the facts. Over the weekend, a new Syrian leader—many believe propped up by Western powers to replace Bashar al-Assad—unleashed a wave of terror across Syria. Christians are being hunted, shot, and even crucified by these ISIS-affiliated thugs. Our reporter on the ground in Israel, Aharon Levarko, joined us live last night with firsthand accounts from Christians in Syria texting and emailing for help as their brothers and sisters are butchered. The numbers are staggering—hundreds, maybe thousands, dead, and the body count is rising.

But it’s not just Christians. Muslims who don’t toe the radical line of this new regime—labeled as "hypocrites" or "apostates" by these ISIS murderers—are also being slaughtered. We had Shahram Hadian on as well, a former Muslim turned Christian pastor, & he explained why these jihadists are turning on their own. Spoiler alert: it’s because they don’t see them as "real" Muslims. This is the fruit of radical Islam, folks, and it’s a spiritual threat to the church and the world that too many have dismissed.

Where’s the outrage? Where are the "Free Palestine" protesters now? They’re silent while Syria bleeds. Aaron asked a piercing question last night: “Why aren’t they out there shouting ‘Free Syria’?” The answer is clear—this doesn’t fit their narrative. But here’s the kicker: guess who’s stepping up to help? It looks like the Israeli government might be coming to the aid of these persecuted Christians. That’s right—the Jews, vilified by so many, could be the ones saving our Christian brothers and sisters. Let that sink in.

Breaking News: The Kurds Cut a Deal

If that wasn’t bad enough, Aharon dropped a bombshell last night. The Kurds, who control a third of Syria and have been a U.S. ally, just signed a ceasefire with this new Syrian government under Abu Mohammed al-Julani—a man with Al-Qaeda and ISIS ties. Here’s the nightmare scenario: the Kurds hold thousands of ISIS prisoners, and this deal means those animals are about to be unleashed. They’ll be handed uniforms, guns, and a free pass to join Julani’s fight. All the intelligence, all the effort to lock these demons up, undone in a heartbeat.

Julani, backed by Turkey, is poised to take over Syria’s natural resources, empowering his regime and emboldening Turkey’s ambitions in the region. Iran’s on the sidelines for now—weakened after Israel took out Hezbollah’s leadership—but Turkey’s stepping up as the dominant Islamic power. And folks, they don’t like Israel. Aharon warned this could spread like wildfire, with potential attacks on Iraq next, where American troops are stationed. Are we ready for that?

The World’s Hypocrisy on Display

The footage coming out of Syria is gut-wrenching. We played some of it last night—graphic, yes, but necessary. A man crucified, his head blown off. A little girl, lifeless in the streets. A Syrian begging for help, covering his face because if they find him, he’s dead. “The media isn’t showing you anything,” he cried. “They’re killing everyone—children, women, teenagers, old people.” He’s right. Al Jazeera, CNN, the networks—they’re covering this up while the bodies pile up.

And the so-called "defenders of humanity"? The EU condemned the violence but then invited Julani to a donor conference. The International Criminal Court’s president—who accused Israel’s Netanyahu of genocide—was photographed shaking hands with this terrorist. This is the same guy the U.S. once had a $10 million bounty on! Now he’s in a suit, hobnobbing with world leaders. It’s Yasser Arafat all over again—an olive branch in one hand, a pistol in the other.

What Can We Do?

Folks, this is a wake-up call. As Aharon said last night, sometimes we need to be shocked to wake up. The church can’t sit this out. We need to pray for our brothers and sisters in Syria—hunted like animals by these demons. We need to call on our leaders to act. I’m not saying put boots on the ground—I’ve been clear about that—but maybe some strategic strikes from our ships, drones, or tomahawks could take Julani out and calm this chaos. And yes, I’ll say it: I wouldn’t be surprised if our own CIA, pre-Trump, helped put this monster in power to stir up the Middle East. That’s a conversation for another day.

We also need Muslim leaders—like those in the Abraham Accords nations—to stand up and say, “This isn’t Islam; this is evil.” And we need men and women of character, as Aharon put it, to rise up and call this what it is: crimes against humanity.
