Leading off tonight, the US Navy has barred its sailors from using the artificial intelligence model released by the Chinese company DeepSeek, CNBC reported on Tuesday.

In an email sent to service personnel on Friday, the Navy warned that DeepSeek’s R1 model had been forbidden “for any work-related tasks or personal use.”

The Chinese AI should be avoided because of the “potential security and ethical concerns associated with the model’s origin and usage,” the message explained.

The Hangzhou-based start-up DeepSeek released its AI Assistant app earlier this month, and by this week it had become the most downloaded free app on the US Apple App Store. The platform has been developed for a fraction of the cost of the AI market’s US-based dominators, particularly OpenAI’s ChatGPT, yet reportedly scores consistently as high on key performance indicators.

Later in the day, a US Navy spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the email to CNBC.

OpenAI CEO and co-founder Sam Altman wrote on X on Monday that the Chinese AI was “an impressive model, particularly around what they are able to deliver for the price.” However, Altman vowed that his company would “obviously deliver much better models” and claimed that having a new competitor was “invigorating.”

US President Donald Trump said earlier that the release of DeepSeek’s model was a “wake-up call” for US tech companies to step up and compete.

At a Senate confirmation hearing Wednesday for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of Health and Human Services, Senator Elizabeth Warren flew into a tirade in the process of openly shilling for the diabolical pharmaceutical companies that have heavily funded her political career.

Kennedy refused to agree not to sue the drug companies and that infuriated the Democrat senator from Massachusetts.

Warren addressed the former Democrat presidential candidate in the same holier-than-thou tone she has traditionally directed toward Republican nominees, insinuating that selfish pecuniary considerations motivate everyone in public life except her, when in fact she is the queen of grift.

She asked:

“Mr. Kennedy, will you also agree that you won’t take any compensation from any lawsuits against drug companies while you are secretary and for four years afterwards?” 

Note the “four years afterwards.” 

The Western Journal notes that no ethics law requires Kennedy to refrain from accepting compensation for private services rendered after leaving office. If it did, the moralizing windbag Warren would not have asked her idiotic question.

Warren is one of the largest recipients of Big Pharma campaign donations. She clearly is ready to shill for them no matter how badly it makes her look.

“Foolish and ethically compromised senators will expose themselves to ridicule and possible electoral banishment by opposing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Then again, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts long ago exposed herself as a lying, shrieking, hyperventilating, moralizing buffoon.”

President Donald Trump is offering buyouts to thousands of federal employees who choose not to return to work at the office in a move that, if successful, would drastically reduce the size of the federal workforce.

The offer, outlined in a memo sent Tuesday by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, would give federal workers eight months of pay and benefits if they resign by February 6.

According to USA Today, the memo states:

“If you choose not to continue in your current role in the federal workforce, we thank you for your service to your country and you will be provided with a dignified, fair departure from the federal deferred resignation program.”

The move, first reported by Axios, comes after President Trump signed an order last week requiring all federal workers to return to in-person work. Work-from-home policies enacted during the COVID lock-down era remain in place for many federal workers.

The memo was titled Fork in the Road, the same subject line that billionaire Elon Musk used when he gave Twitter employees a similar ultimatum in 2022.

Musk, who heads Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, has talked about a drastic reduction of the federal workforce to scale back the size of government and posted about the news on X.

The federal government employs more than 2 million people.

President Trump also signed an executive order Wednesday prohibiting federal funding from going to K-12 schools that teach gender ideology and Critical Race Theory, or CRT. 

The order will give the Department of Education 90 days to create a plan about how to weed out CRT and radical gender ideology instruction in K-12 schools, according to a White House memo first obtained by the Daily Caller. 

Trump notably promised on the campaign trail to sign an order defunding schools that teach “Critical Race Theory, transgender insanity, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content.” 

The White House memo also reportedly states that the order will direct the attorney general to work with state attorneys general and district attorneys “to file actions against teachers and school officials who sexually exploit minors or practice medicine without a license through ‘social transition’ practices.”

As Breitbart News’s senior editor-at-large Joel Pollak has explained, Critical Race Theory claims that all of our institutions, our government, our economy, our culture media, are based on racial hierarchy, with white people on top and blacks at the bottom. Even things that look race-neutral are, on closer inspection, racist, according to this insane doctrine. 

CRT was the invention of a group of Marxist intellectuals known as the Frankfurt School, who developed it to achieve through cultural change what Marxism could not achieve politically.

Gender ideology is the false belief that one can become a different sex than they were born as.

Fox News reports that Rep. Thomas Massie, Republican of Kentucky, and Senator Mike Lee, Republican of Utah, are advocating for the U.S. to withdraw from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Senator Mike Lee asked in a post on X: “If you could snap your fingers and get us out of NATO today, would you?”

Massie replied, “Yes.”

The House lawmaker has previously called the alliance, which includes the U.S. and 31 other nations, a “Cold War relic.” 

Massie told The Washington Post and it was reported in 2022 that he would withdraw us from NATO, adding:

“It’s a Cold War relic. Our involvement should have ceased when the [Berlin] wall fell and the Soviet Union collapsed.”

Lee has been critical of the NATO alliance, describing it as a great deal for Europe, but a “raw deal for America.”

The senator has called for the U.S. to consider departing NATO, and has in some cases explicitly endorsed the prospect of a U.S. withdrawal.

“NATO members must pay up now,” Lee asserted in a tweet. “If they don’t—and maybe even if they do—the U.S. should seriously consider leaving NATO,” he continued. “We won the Cold War,” the senator noted. “A long time ago, in fact.”

“Let's go!” the lawmaker wrote in response to two separate posts suggesting that President Donald Trump should withdraw the U.S. from NATO.

If anti-gun researchers in California have their way, artificial intelligence may soon be used to target federally licensed firearms dealers and the small businesses they operate.

Researchers at UC-Davis in California claim in a new study that AI can predict which gun dealers pose an “elevated risk for selling the largest number and fraction of firearms recovered within a year of sale.” 

Hannah Laqueur, an associate professor of emergency medicine at UC Davis who headed up the study, used two different prediction models to come up with her list of bad-apple dealers. Both AI models essentially used a short time-to-trace to identify dealers that are supposedly at a high-risk of selling so-called crime guns.

The models generally outperformed simpler regression and rule-based approaches, underscoring the value of data-adaptive models for prediction. Key predictors included prior-year crime gun sales, the average age of purchasers, the proportion of cheap handgun sales, and the local gun robbery and assault rate.

Many of the dealers with the highest predicted probabilities not only sold a large volume of guns with very short time-to-crime but also consistently sold crime guns over multiple years. This suggests that a relatively small group of dealers could be targeted for enforcement, offering the potential for outsized impact. More consistent and targeted inspections of high-risk dealers, along with citations or license revocations, could strengthen deterrence and promote compliance, helping reduce the supply of guns to offenders.

“Our findings show how machine learning techniques, combined with California's comprehensive firearm transaction and crime gun recovery data, could help identify potentially high-risk retailers,” says Laqueur. “This type of identification can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of inspections and enforcement efforts aimed at interdicting negligent or corrupt dealers.”

Despite Laquer's claims, there are some major limitations with the study, including this little gem: 

The authors note that dealers selling many short time-to-crime guns may not have violated the law and conversely, non-compliant dealers may not be reflected in short time-to-crime statistics.

In other words, the data may not tell us anything at all about a particular dealer. 

Not every gun that's traced is used in a crime, and not every gun used in a crime is traced by law enforcement. FFL's with a high volume of sales are also more likely to sell guns that are later traced, but isn't evidence of any wrongdoing on the part of the gun dealer.

Blaze Media reports that more than 12,000 long-distance runners will compete against 20 robots representing 20 companies in a half-marathon in China.

What is being claimed as the world's first humanoid-versus-robot half-marathon will take place in April, within the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, also known as Beijing's E-Town.

The district said in a press release that the robots will enter and compete on behalf of 20 teams from global robotics companies, researchers, robot clubs, and universities, among others. While there aren't many rules, robots must conform to a few loose parameters.

The robots must be capable of bipedal walking or running and must have a “humanoid appearance.”

Robots do not have to be fully autonomous to compete. Teams are allowed to remotely operate their robotic runners as they see fit.

According to Popular Science, prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers, no matter whether they are human or machine. The outlet also reported that no bipedal robot has successfully completed a race of such a length, in this case 13 miles, giving the homo sapiens an apparent advantage.

Chinese robots appear to be running faster than American robots as of March 2024. That month, Shanghai-based Unitree Robotics showcased its robot, the H1 V3.0, running at 7.38 mph along a flat surface. The previous Guinness World Record speed for such a robot was 5.59 mph by a machine made by Boston Dynamics.

A video posted by Unitree showed the Chinese robot can also lift small crates and make its way down a flight of stairs.

Less than a year later, a video posted in January showed updated designs and the ability to move much more smoothly and quickly, even on rugged hilled terrain.

You may recall that on Inauguration Day, we reported the shocking news that a US Border Patrol officer had been shot dead near the Canadian border in Vermont in an incident involving a now-deceased foreign national.

The story was buried by the mainstream media, overshadowed by coverage of Donald Trump's events in the nation's capital.

One week later, investigative journalist Andy Ngo reports that a 21-year-old Washington woman was charged in connection to the deadly incident, but little has been reported about her and her deceased accomplice, a German man.

The Post Millennial reports that the mysterious duo who were pulled over in Coventry, Vermont, in the deadly shootout are members of a leftist transgender militia with alleged ties to a trans terror cell.

Around a week before the January 20 attack, federal law enforcement had been surveilling the German national Felix "Ophelia" Baukholt and Seattle woman Teresa "Milo" Consuelo Youngblut, after staff at a Vermont motel reported seeing them with black tactical clothing, weapons and protective militia-style equipment.

Ngo reported in a post to X that he could confirm that the man killed in a shootout with police on Inauguration Day was a German migrant. He added that:

“Liberal media has been uninterested in investigating the couple involved in shooting dead a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Coventry, Vermont near the Canadian border on inauguration day. Why? Both in the duo are leftist trans militants. One of the deceased armed militants is a German believed to be in the country on an H-1B visa. The duo is allegedly connected to a trans terror cell.”

Earlier in the broadcast we highlighted Senator Elizabeth Warren’s hypocritical opposition to Bobby Kennedy’s nomination as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

But Warren wasn’t the only one on her soap box.

Senator Bernie Sanders flew into a rage while questioning Robert F. Kennedy Jr. about vaccines at RFK’s confirmation hearing Wednesday on Capitol Hill.

RFK has been nominated by President Trump to head up the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He said he was in favor of vaccines but wanted to make sure they are fully tested, using “good science,” before they’re released to the public.

Sanders, showing just how much he’s owned by Big Pharma and its corporate lobbyists, couldn’t accept that. He chose instead to focus on Onesies being sold on the website of a nonprofit news site founded by Kennedy but no longer controlled by him.

That’s why they call him Crazy Bernie. He’s totally unhinged. 

Not to mention, Sanders is a fraud. He talks against the big corporations and rages against the evils of capitalism. And yet, he’s owned by the pharma industry and is willing to prostitute himself on their behalf.

He would rather tackle issues based on emotional impact rather than facts. That’s because facts don’t lie but0 Sanders does. Vaccines as administered in this country are untested and ineffective, and many are flat out dangerous. The data supports that. But Sanders and these clowns would rather focus on a meme plastered on a baby’s shirt.

The same type of emotion-driven attacks came from other Democrats Wednesday. They’re all showing us who they really work for, and it’s not us. It’s the Wall Street drug companies. They’re appalled that someone like RFK might get in a position of authority who would actually hold these corporate goons accountable for health impacts of their products.
