The World Is Heating Up: A Geopolitical Powder Keg Ready to Explode?

Last night, I had David Pyne, our national security and geopolitical expert, on the show. David’s the president of the EMP Task Force (emptaskforce.us) and runs his own Substack at dpyne.substack.com. David’s one of the few voices out there giving it to us straight, no agenda, no spin—just the facts. And what he told me last night ought to have every one of us on high alert.

Russia and China Sound the Alarm

Let’s start with this bombshell: Russia and China reportedly sent an emergency action message to the U.S. military on March 20, 2025, putting our forces on a higher alert status. This comes from Jeffrey Nyquist, a colleague of David’s on the Committee for the Present Danger of China, and it’s been confirmed by another source. We don’t know the exact details of the message yet, but David suspects it’s tied to multiple theaters—likely CENTCOM in the Middle East, where Hamas just launched rockets at Tel Aviv after Israel broke the ceasefire and reinvaded Gaza, and possibly Indo-PACOM, where China’s ramping up for a potential Taiwan invasion.

Think about that for a second. While we’re distracted with the Middle East, China could see an opening to move on Taiwan. David put it bluntly: “China is accelerating its preparations for a potential invasion of Taiwan, perhaps taking advantage of the U.S. preoccupation with the Middle Eastern theater.” If that doesn’t send a chill down your spine, I don’t know what will.

Ukraine Strikes Deep Into Russia

Then there’s Ukraine. Reuters reported yesterday that Ukraine hit a major Russian strategic bomber airfield with drones—435 miles from the front lines—triggering massive blasts and fire. This wasn’t some skirmish near the border; they went after Russia’s nuclear triad, specifically their Blackjack bombers, which David likened to our B-2s. Imagine if Russian-backed forces hit Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. We’d be up in arms, and rightly so.

This strike came right after Zelensky accepted a partial ceasefire on energy infrastructure attacks, brokered by the U.S. and Russia. So what’s he doing? David’s take: “Zelensky has no intention of accepting a ceasefire or ending the war.” Instead, he’s rolling the dice, hoping Russia escalates enough to derail Trump’s peace talks—or better yet, drag the U.S. and NATO into World War III. Zelensky’s demands are outrageous: Russian withdrawal from all Ukrainian territory (including Crimea), $300 billion in reparations, 200,000 NATO peacekeepers, and Putin hauled off to The Hague. Meanwhile, Russia’s Foreign Ministry is now claiming eight Ukrainian oblasts—37% of the country—as “an integral part of Russia.” These two sides aren’t even in the same universe, let alone close to a deal.

Iran and the Neocon Push

Over in the Middle East, the neocons are itching for strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities—a push that’s been going on since 2006, as David reminded us. Problem is, Iran’s got 37 nuclear and missile sites, many underground with mobile launchers in concrete silos, plus hypersonic cruise missiles. Conventional strikes won’t cut it, and nuclear options are a long shot. If Trump and Israel go after Iran, what do China, Russia, and Iran’s other allies do? David didn’t mince words: we could be looking at a multi-front war.

Trump’s Plan and the Globalist Pushback

President Trump’s trying to break up the Russia-China axis—something David and Vivek Ramaswamy briefed him on during the campaign. The idea’s simple: make peace with Russia, neutralize their alliance with China, and reduce the odds of a coordinated attack on the U.S. or our allies. David laid out Russia’s terms: Ukrainian neutrality (no NATO), partial demilitarization, a border along the current line of control, and neutral peacekeepers from places like India, not NATO. With China, it’s about stepping back from defending Taiwan militarily and pushing for peaceful unification talks. With Iran, it’s sticking to the three-phase ceasefire plan.

It’s a clear path to avoid war, but here’s the kicker: the ball’s in Trump’s court. Will his neocon advisors—like Rubio and the EU Politburo crowd—push him to double down instead? David warned, “He has the power to make peace and give us absolute security. But the question is, will he be advised by his neocon advisors to do the opposite and thereby put us at an existential risk of destruction with the outbreak of World War III on multiple fronts?”
