​Good evening everyone and welcome to the Worldview Report. I’m Brannon Howse. Russia is recruiting Syrian fighters experienced in urban combat to battle Ukrainian forces as Moscow prepares for street-by-street fighting against dogged resistance from the Kyiv government, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. Russia, which has backed the Syrian government in that country’s long-running civil war, is recruiting the fighters in the expectation that their combat ability in close quarters could help Moscow take the capital and overthrow the Ukrainian government, four US officials told the Wall Street Journal Sunday.The inclusion of the Syrians suggests Russia is not at all afraid to escalate the war​, according to the report.​

It was reported today that over 2 million refugees have fled Ukraine with about 1.2 million in Poland.  Today a children’s hospital was bombed and the death toll continues to rise for both Ukrainians and Russians.

Today, Russian nuclear forces are probably at the U.S. equivalent of DEFCON 3 or DEFCON 2, which is very rare in history, occurring only during such major events as the 1956 Suez Crisis, 1958 Berlin Crisis, 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia, 1973 Yom Kippur War, 1983 Able Archer NATO nuclear exercise, and 1991 Soviet coup attempt against Premier Gorbachev, for example. Today, U.S. nuclear forces are not mobilized, are at their normal everyday state of readiness: DEFCON 5.

There are multiple battlefronts happening in the world today, both in the physical sense and ideologically.  We open today’s show looking at a physical battlefront, with John tackling the latest on the Ukraine-Russia conflict.  He incorporates a lot of principles covered on Steel on Steel over the last few decades into what we’re seeing today, including how reality becomes real, the value of international guarantees is not high, and never elect someone to get you out of situation who got you into it in the first place.  There are many lessons to be learned watching the physical battlefront in Ukraine, but that can also be applied to the ideological field.

Both men, among the most powerful globalists in the world, are promising to do everything to help the country in the fight against Vladimir Putin and “Russian aggression.”

President Biden’s pick to replace the retiring Justice Stephen Breyer is Ketanji Brown Jackson.  Given the situation in Ukraine, should he have delayed this decision?  In other words, is this an attempt by Biden to divert attention away from America’s weakness?

Dr. Pry cautions to be skeptical of all reporting on the Ukraine War as most of the information is coming from the Ukraine government, that wants the U.S. and NATO to join the war to defeat Russia. Yet the U.S. and NATO have no vital interests at stake in Ukraine to justify risking nuclear World War III. It is too early in the war to know if Russia is winning or losing. Russia probably has mobilized its nuclear forces and put them on high alert. The U.S. has flown B-52 nuclear bombers to Britain and, for the first time ever, to Poland. Such reckless behavior by both sides could too easily escalate to nuclear war by mistake. Republicans, instead of supporting Biden Administration warmongering in Ukraine, should be demanding why President Biden is risking nuclear war with Russia for Ukraine, which is not a U.S. ally and where the U.S. has no vital interest. U.S. foreign and defense policy should not be driven by Globalism, but by Nationalism and an "America First" policy that serves only U.S. vital national interests.
