Two NYPD cops were jumped and beaten outside of a shelter this past weekend by eight illegal aliens. The officers were injured, one quite seriously. The attackers were only in custody for three hours.

Now, the black community in New York and nationwide is watching and taking notes. They’re starting to wake up to the fact that maybe the Democrats don’t have their backs like they thought. They’re comparing the treatment of blacks who have run up against big city police to the way these migrants were treated after a bloody attack that could have been fatal. The migrants were charged with assault and released with no bail.

One of the illegal aliens charged in the attack on the officers let the taxpaying American people know what he thinks of them as he walked free from police custody after being arrested for attacking two NYPD officers in Times Square.

Violent illegal migrant Jhoan Boada was arrested for taking part in a mob attack on two NYPD officers.

However, he was released from custody on Wednesday.

As he walked free from the police station, 22-year-old Boada flipped his middle fingers at the American people, seemingly showing no remorse for his crimes.

Boada made the offensive double-handed signal after he was released from police custody on charges of assaulting a police officer.

The illegal alien took part in the shocking gang assault in Times Square on Saturday near a migrant shelter. The migrant gang members are living in the nearby shelter which is paid for by taxpayers.

Boada didn’t appear bothered by the serious charges as he flipped his two middle fingers at reporters and members of the public.

He smirked proudly at reporters and photographers outside the Midtown South Precinct in Manhattan.

Videos also show Boada and his allies laughing as they leave the station without bail.

Energy drinks could pose a risk to young brains, according to new research.

Those who consumed energy drinks — which are intended to boost energy through the use of caffeine or other stimulants — were shown to have a higher risk of mental health issues, including attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts.

These findings stem from a review by Fuse, the Centre for Translational Research in Public Health at Teesside University and Newcastle University in the U.K.

In the review, published in the journal Public Health, researchers looked at data from 57 studies of over 1.2 million children and young people from more than 21 countries who consumed energy drinks.

Lead author Amelia Lake, professor of public health nutrition at Teesside University, told Fox News Digital:

“We have found an even greater list of mental and physical health outcomes associated with children and young people consuming energy drinks. We repeated [the review] only to find an ever-growing evident space that suggests the consumption of these drinks is associated with negative health outcomes.”

The caffeine content of energy drinks ranges from 50 mg to 505 mg per serving, compared to 90 mg in 8.45 ounces of coffee, 50 mg in 8.45 ounces of tea and 34 mg in 16.9 ounces of soda, the researchers noted.

Based on the findings, the researchers and other U.K. health organizations are calling for the government to ban sales of energy drinks to children under age 16.

Lake said, “This evidence suggests that energy drinks have no place in the diets of children and young people. Policymakers should follow the example from countries that have placed age restrictions on their sales to children.”

Erin Palinski-Wade, a New Jersey-based registered dietitian, was not involved in the new research but said its findings did not surprise her.

She told Fox News Digital that energy drinks are “not a safe choice for children and no safe guidelines have been established for caffeine consumption in those under the age of 18.”

Caffeine has a half-life of six to eight hours, she noted — which means it takes that long for it to leave the system.

Palinski-Wade noted:

“Even small amounts of caffeine can impact quality and quantity of sleep, and poor sleep is directly correlated with a decline in both mental and physical health — in adults as well as children.”

Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 campaign manager John Podesta will replace John Kerry as Joe Biden’s so-called “climate czar,” the White House has announced.

When Biden assumed office in 2021, he created the unnecessary, unregulated, and unelected role of “U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate.”

Biden appointed his old friend Kerry for the taxpayer-funded role which has seen the “climate czar” traveling around the world on private jets to lecture the public about global warming.

However, Kerry announced last month that he’s stepping down from the role to work on Biden’s re-election campaign instead.

In the three years since Biden created the position, it is unclear what Kerry has accomplished, aside from blowing millions of dollars in taxpayer money.

But Biden has learned nothing. He will be replacing Kerry will another unelected bureaucrat with a checkered past, his old pal and long-time Clintonite John Podesta.

Last year, as noted by Slay News, Podesta admitted Biden’s so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” is actually the Marxist Green New Deal that was just repackaged with a different name.

Podesta said last August: “We have to cut the carbon pollution that’s driving the climate crisis and that’s what the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ is all about!” 

Podesta also falsely claimed Americans across the political spectrum support “climate change” mandates.

Slay News reports that a male runner has smashed two school records in female track and field events.

Collegiate track-and-field athlete Sadie Schreiner, a male who claims to be a “transgender female,” set two new records for the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York Friday.

Schreiner set the 200-meter record and qualified for the Atlantic Region Championship with a time of 25.27 seconds at the RIT January Friday Meet.

He also broke the 300-meter record with a 40.78-second finish.

“Crazy meet last weekend!” Schreiner posted on Instagram.

“Running till my legs give out.”

The sophomore, real mane Camden Schreiner, placed first in the 4×400-meter relay as well, earning a Liberty League Women’s Track & Field Performer of the Week award.

Former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines also rebuffed the fake records in a post to X.

Bookmaker odds are now heavily favoring Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) to be President Donald Trump’s choice of running mate for the 2024 presidential election.

Speculative reports have been mounting over who Trump might pick to be his running mate. However, Stefanik, the chair of the House Republican Conference and a loyal defender of the 45th president, has recently surged to the top of the list of likely contenders.

Stefanik is now the odds-on favorite to be Trump’s vice presidential choice, according to a top betting site, Newsweek is reporting.

The news isn’t shocking to those following the Trump VP horse race rumors, as the New York congresswoman has long been included in the various lists of possible candidates to join the 45th president on the GOP ticket.

Newsweek revealed that British bookmaker Betfair offers 9/2 odds that Stefanik will be President Trump’s choice.

Coming behind Stefanik in terms of the best odds to be Trump’s VP pick is South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem at 6/1 and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy at 15/2, with former Housing Secretary Ben Carson and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, both of whom served under Trump, rounding out the top five with respective odds of 10/1 and 11/1.

A 52nd Texas county, Guadalupe County, has declared itself to be under an invasion from south of the border.

The county joins 51 others that have declared an invasion, have expressed support for border counties, for Texas Governor Greg Abbott and his border security mission, Operation Lone Star.

More counties are declaring an invasion after Kinney, Goliad and Terrell counties were the first to do so in July 2022. Several others are expected to soon follow, The Center Square has learned.

The judge and commissioners of Guadalupe County, part of the San Antonio metropolitan statistical area, signed a resolution Tuesday (Jan. 30) “supporting measures to secure the border and repel the invasion at the border in order to protect our communities.”

The resolution cites the guarantee and self-defense clauses of the U.S. Constitution (Article 4, Section 4, and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3), as do all of the invasion resolutions. The resolution states Texas has a right to self-defense when “the federal government has been derelict in its duties to secure our southern border with Mexico.”

The resolution points to incomplete illegal border crossing data and increased terrorist threats, which have increased every month since January 2021. Last month, the greatest number of illegal border crossers was reported in U.S. history of over 370,000.

That’s after more than 10 million foreign nationals illegally entered the U.S. from January 2021 to November 2023, including 1.7 million who evaded capture, The Center Square exclusively reported.

In fiscal 2023, the greatest number of illegal border crossers were reported to have entered Texas of over 1.9 million. Also in fiscal 2023, the greatest number of known or suspected terrorists, 736, were apprehended nationwide.

Through Texas’ Operation Lone Star, law enforcement officers have seized more than 454 million lethal doses of fentanyl, more than enough to kill everyone in the U.S. and Canada.

The resolution states, “a clear and present danger exists to Guadalupe County and to the State of Texas due to the invasion along our southern border with Mexico caused by the failures of the Biden administration to suppress said invasion and by the willful and wanton lack of enforcement of the laws duly enacted by the Congress of the United States.”

In addition to supporting Abbott and Operation Lone Star, Guadalupe County Judge Kyle Kutscher said, “The federal government has abandoned its responsibility to enforce the laws that are in place and now the state is trying to protect us and … the federal government says they are not allowed to do that,” referring to a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling.

Governor Ron DeSantis is sending 1,000 Florida National Guard and State Guard members to Texas to assist with placing razor wire along the southern border, DeSantis announced Thursday.

The Supreme Court ruled last week that the federal government had the power to remove razor wire and other barriers the Texas government erected at the border, but Texas National Guard continued placing the wire last week and the union for the federal border agents has announced it will not be removing any of the razor wire even if ordered to do so by Biden’s administration.

Florida will send up to 1,000 National Guard members and State Guard volunteers to assist Texas “relatively shortly,” DeSantis said, adding:

“The goal is to help Texas fortify this border, help them strengthen the barricades, help them add barriers, help them add the wire that they need to so that we can stop this invasion once and for all.”

DeSantis made the announcement from Jacksonville’s Cecil Airport Thursday morning, adding, “And the states have to band together.”

DeSantis lauded the Florida State Guard last week in Kissimmee, telling attendees at a press conference on semiconductor manufacturing that he wanted the volunteer guard to help control immigration at Texas southern border.

Bills currently being considered by the Florida Legislature (HB 1551/SB 1694) allow DeSantis to send the guard to other states.

The State Guard became inactive in 1947 after being established in World War II to replace deployed Florida National Guard members.

DeSantis revived the State Guard in 2022, and the Legislature increased funding from $10 million to $107.6 million. The force tripled from 400 to 1,500 members last year.

Other Republican-led states have loaned their own National Guard troops on border missions to Texas, including Oklahoma and Iowa.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) sparked calls for her removal from Congress after she made remarks at an event in Minnesota in which she told a group of Somalis that she is advocating for Somalia — where she was born and raised during her early years — while serving in the U.S. Congress.

A 3-minute video clip of Omar went viral on Sunday that appears to have been translated by alleged officials from Somaliland, a breakaway region in Somalia that has claimed its independence from Somalia for decades but is not recognized by any other countries as being a sovereign state.

Omar made the remarks on Saturday while speaking at an event at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis celebrating the recent re-election of Said Abdullahi Deni as the President of the Puntland State of Somalia.

Omar’s remarks come as there have been recent tensions between Ethiopia and Somalia over Somaliland. Ethiopia reportedly came to an agreement with Somaliland that would recognize Somaliland as a country independent from Somalia in exchange for Ethiopia, which is a landlocked country, gaining access to 12 miles of the coastline in the region through a lease agreement.

Somalia flatly rejected the agreement, saying in a statement: “There is no space for mediation unless Ethiopia retracts its illegal [memorandum of understanding] and reaffirms the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia.”

Omar came to the U.S. as a child refugee. She married her brother in a fake marriage reportedly designed to get him legal residency in the United States. She’s committed tax fraud and broken campaign finance rules but never seems to suffer any consequences. She should have been deported years ago but instead she keeps getting re-elected to Congress and sits on powerful committees as a known anti-American operative.

Omar is one of more than 150,000 Somali refugees who have been delivered to the United States since 1991 under an agreement between the corrupt U.S. State Department and a United Nations agency known as the International Organization for Migration. About 40 percent of the total 150,000 Somali refugees live in Minnesota with other large populations concentrated in the state of Maine, in Seattle, and in Columbus, Ohio. Many of them have been convicted of serious crimes, crimes involving defrauding the U.S. taxpayers as well as violent crimes.

This disastrous refugee resettlement program should have been shut down years ago but Congress keeps funding it. In fiscal year 2024, the U.S. will import 125,000 foreign refugees, placing them on a fast track to citizenship within five years of their arrival.

To learn more about this destructive program, I recommend a book by Leo Hohmann called Stealth Invasion, which is one of a very few book-length investigations that have been published about the refugee problem in America—where they are coming from, who pays for it, what happens to them once they get here, and who’s getting rich off of this little-known form of human trafficking.
