Dick Morris appearing on the O'Reilly Factor on Wednesday night, September 5th, said he worked for Fred Thompson during his first run for the U.S. Senate in the early nineties. Dick Morris said that at that time Fred Thompson worried about his history as a lobbyist. When O'Reilly dismissed that as a possible problem, Dick Morris said Thompson lobbied in favor of abortion. O'Reilly did not respond to the comment.
 
The Arlington Group is a network of well-known Christian, pro-family leaders. The group is meeting in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Washington D.C. this week and was set to endorse Fred Thompson on Thursday, according to Fox News and their reporter Carl Cameron. However, reportedly the group has put that on hold because it is reported that Thompson has made comments that imply he would not be an aggressive supporter of the federal marriage amendment.
