The Daily Mail reports that Ukrainian President Zelensky is pleading with Western nations to provide a weapons boost ahead of a brutal winter of conflict in which Russia is launching a new wave of attacks. 

The Ukrainian President has warned the war-torn country to prepare for a winter onslaught with Russia increasing its attacks around the city of Donetsk, among other cities. 

It's thought Ukraine's energy infrastructure will be targeted in a repeat of 12 months ago with it already being bombarded 60 times in the last several weeks. 

The country was plunged into darkness last winter when thousands of Russian drones and missiles targeted Ukraine's power sector leading to sweeping blackouts.  

Andriy Yermak, Zelensky's chief of staff, met U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington Tuesday as part of a trip to the United States to press Ukraine's urgent need for more Western weapons.

Turkish President Erdogan has labeled Israel a “terror state,” committing war crimes and violating international law in Gaza, while repeating his view that Hamas soldiers are not terrorists but a “political party elected by Palestinians.” 

In a fiery speech to members of his party, Erdogan said Turkey would work to ensure that Israel's political and military leaders are recognized as “terrorists” and brought to trial in international courts, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Erdogan said Israel was a terrorist state intent on destroying Gaza along with the thousands of people who live in the territory. 

As for Hamas, the Turkish leader described the men who rampaged through southern Israel on October 7 and slaughtered 1,400 Israelis, raping women and taking hostages, as “resistance fighters” trying to protect their lands and people.

He said Hamas was a duly elected political party while failing to mention there hasn't been an election in Gaza since 2006 when Hamas defeated Fatah, a more secular movement. Since then, Hamas has essentially seized control and imposed authoritarian rule over the territory. 

Relations between NATO member Turkey and Tel Aviv have rapidly soured amid Israel's bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

The New York Post reports that former NFL wide receiver Devon Wylie, who played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans, died suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 35, his family announced Monday.

A cause of death was not given.

“We wanted to make this post so people who knew and loved Devon could learn of his passing because we don’t have the capacity to reach out to everyone in this hard time,” the post said, according to a report.

Wylie was a star at Granite Bay High School in California and played at Fresno State from 2007-11, with 56 receptions in 13 games in his senior season.

Wylie also led the Western Athletic Conference with 15.38 yards per punt return and returned two for touchdowns against No. 10 Nebraska and No. 5 Boise State.

He was selected by the Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2012 draft.

Wylie last played professional football in 2017 when he was in the CFL and had recently pursued a music career.

“RIP Devon Wylie,” Barstool Fresno State tweeted. “One of the best if not the best special team return player to come out of Fresno State. Prayers to the entire Wylie family and the entire red wave. This one hurts.”

Senator Ron Johnson is the only member of Congress who has put up any serious effort to reveal just how devastating the Covid vaccines have been.

Using the government’s own data, which we know is seriously under-counted in terms of the deaths and serious injuries caused by the jabs and reported through the VAERS system, Johnson put up a chart at a hearing which he says the government doesn’t want you to see.

The last line in the chart, with figures in red, represent the Covid shots’ devastating impact on Americans.

Just last night we reported here at the Worldview Report on the alarming number of miscarriages doctors are seeing since the shots were introduced. Nikki Haley sparked a firestorm on Tuesday by saying that the way to reduce anti-Semitism and misinformation online was to force social media users to reveal their true identity.

Haley appeared on Fox News, and was asked what she would do to combat hate speech online.

She said the social media companies must do more to combat fake accounts, trolls and bots, stating:

“Anti-Semitism was always bubbling underneath the surface, but now we're seeing this massive exaggeration of it, but no one is talking about why. The truth is, if you look at social media, the misinformation and the dramatic sides of social media are instigating this. Why? Because it's being pushed by Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.”

She said she would prioritize making social media companies lift the lid on their users, adding:

“When I get into office, the first thing we have to do: social media companies, they have to show America their algorithms. Let us see why they're pushing what they're pushing. The second thing is every person on social media should be verified by their name.”

She said it was “a national security threat” to allow anonymous accounts.

“When you do that, all of a sudden people have to stand by what they say, and it gets rid of the Russian bots, the Iranian bots, and the Chinese bots. And then you're gonna get some civility when people know their name is next to what they say, and they know their pastor and their family member's gonna see it. It's gonna help our kids and it's gonna help our country.”

So Nikki Haley is going to use the long arm of government to force people to be civil to each other. Good luck with that.

Her proposal was met with howls of outrage on all sides, with journalist Yashar Ali saying it was “an outrageous and dangerous proposal.”

He added: “It's the kind of change that a fascist demands, but she's doing it under the guise of civility and getting rid of bots.”

Ron DeSantis came back at Haley and reminded her that many of the bravest among our Founding Fathers, men like James Madison, John Jay and Alexander Hamilton, chose to remain anonymous when they wrote the Federalist Papers, which were a condemnation of the British Crown’s authoritarian and totalitarian policies.

Haley’s comments also appear to be right in line with the paper published this week by UNESCO, which called for global censorship of all online speech in an effort to eliminate “disinformation” and “hate speech.”

Here’s a story you won’t hear much about in the mainstream corporate press.

War News 24/7 reports that U.S. scientists and military command have simulated a dramatic nuclear first strike on Moscow and St. Petersburg targeting Russian ICBM launch silos.

The exercise was conducted in anticipation of the transfer of two squadrons of nuclear-capable F-35 jets to Great Britain.

It was noted that all nuclear-capable F-35s in Europe will be equipped with the new nuclear bombs.

Newsweek reported a few details, writing:

“The United States decided to simulate nuclear strikes on Moscow and St. Petersburg with these weapons and to predict the results, that is, to count the number of victims among the inhabitants of the area.”

The authors of the report pointed to the need to improve the U.S. nuclear arsenal to contain China and Russia. Production of the B61-13 will not increase the total number of weapons in the U.S. nuclear arsenal; it will simply provide greater flexibility in the use of existing capabilities.

The B61-13 would have a much larger impact area and hit 24 times more powerfully (360 kilotons) than the bomb dropped by the United States on Hiroshima in August 1945.

In the event of a drop on the largest Russian megacities, the damage will be colossal.

It is estimated that:

• 311,480 people will be killed and another 868,860 injured if Moscow is hit.
• Everything in a radius of just under 1 kilometer from the epicenter will turn to dust.
• The explosion will destroy buildings and probably kill everyone else within a 1-mile radius.
• People within a 3-kilometer radius will suffer from high levels of radiation and die within a month.
• Another 15% of survivors will die shortly afterwards of cancer.
• In St. Petersburg, 360,150 people may die and another 685,930 people will suffer.

The fire from the explosion will burn for more than six hours, creating a deadly atmosphere over an area of ​​nearly 170 square kilometers, about 10-15 times larger than in Hiroshima.

The British confirmed the American simulations.

Putin’s government responded by announcing that Russia’s nuclear-capable bombers were being activated.

Citibank, the second largest U.S. bank by number of employees and third largest in terms of assets, will begin massive layoffs this week in a corporate overhaul as the company seeks to trim its operating expenses to levels more in line with its competitors, according to CNBC.

Citigroup will begin cutting employees on Wednesday, with new terminations continuing to be announced through next week, affecting some chiefs of staff, managing directors and lower-level employees, according to CNBC. Following the initial round of layoffs, more employees in less senior positions are expected to be dismissed in February, with the layoffs being expected to be fully completed by March 2024.

“We’ve acknowledged the actions we’re taking to reorganize the firm involve some difficult, consequential decisions, but they’re the right steps to align our structure to our strategy and deliver the plan we shared at our 2022 Investor Day,” Citigroup said in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Jane Fraser, CEO of Citigroup as of March 2021, began the shuffle on Sept. 13 after a memo resulted in the dismissal of a number of senior executives while consolidating to just five division heads that report directly to her, according to CNBC. At least 10% of employees at the bank are expected to be dismissed, but the full amount has yet to be determined, with laid-off employees being able to apply for other positions across the company.

America’s largest megabanks have been posting massive profits since the sector was shaken by a banking crisis earlier this year after a few regional banks shut down following a series of bank runs. JPMorgan, which acquired the failed First Republic, reported that its net income was up 35% in the third quarter of 2023.

The Firearms Policy Coalition announced that a federal judge in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania has ruled in favor of a plaintiff who challenged the federal Gun Control Act’s lifetime ban on the exercise of one’s Second Amendment rights due to a single misdemeanor conviction for a crime that did not involve violence, physical harm, or a firearm. 

The case of Williams v. Garland will now be cited in case law as a proof text that governments cannot take away someone’s Second Amendment rights simply because they have a non-violent misdemeanor on their record.

Following a 2005 trial, Edward Williams was convicted of driving under the influence, in violation of Pennsylvania law. Because he had a previous DUI non-conviction in 2001 that was later expunged, the 2005 conviction qualified as a first-degree misdemeanor, which carries a maximum sentence of up to five years’ imprisonment. 

However, he was never imprisoned, and was instead placed under house arrest for 90 days, ordered to pay costs, a fine of $1,500, and to complete any recommended drug and alcohol treatment under the mandatory minimum sentence.

Judge John Milton Younge wrote in his opinion:

“The Government points to several regulations permitting the disarmament of drunk or intoxicated persons. None of these regulations allude to disarmament lasting beyond the individual’s state of intoxication, and none provided for permanent disarmament. Certainly, this Court agrees that using a firearm while intoxicated is dangerous, but historical regulations which momentarily disarmed certain individuals for temporary mental incapacity cannot be considered similar to the sanction of permanent disarmament for past DUI convictions.”

Firearms Policy Coalition’s director of constitutional studies, Joseph Greenlee, stated:

“We are very pleased with the district court’s decision. Mr. Williams is a peaceable person who should have never been disarmed. The court correctly ruled that his Second Amendment rights should be restored.”

Time now for our Worldview Report commentary.

Imagine if 40 percent of the gas stations you went to had pumps that were dry or out of order. 

Well, welcome to what it’s like owning an electric vehicle, writes C. Douglas Golden at the Western Journal. And we’re not talking about somewhere in back-country Montana — but in super-green, super-techy Los Angeles. 

According to a Wall Street Journal article published November 15, a test of 30 non-Tesla fast-charging stations in the electric-vehicle capital of America — stations that had a combined total of more than 120 stalls — revealed at least 40 percent of them had some sort of issue. 

L.A. columnist Joanna Stern, herself the owner of a Ford Mustang Mach-E EV, wrote:

“L.A. County has more public DC fast chargers than any other in the country, according to the Atlas Public Policy research group. From the beach in Santa Monica to parking garages under Rodeo Drive, my video producer Adam Falk and I visited 30 different non-Tesla DC fast-charger stations in a Rivian R1T pickup. I ran into problems at 13 of them — that’s over 40%.” 

And while it’s good that Tesla will start accepting non-Teslas in 2024, that might not put an end to the issues Stern said she encountered.

For the record, her experiment was deliberately limited to Level 3 chargers, a cut above the Level 2 chargers that are the norm at most public charging stations. 

She wrote:

“I ignored the more common chargers known as Level 2 because they’re just too slow for quick fill-ups.”

The first problem was simple: The charging station was broken, with “a sign, a dead screen or an error reading ‘Charger unavailable’ or ‘Out of service,’” Stern wrote. She found that fully 27 percent of the 126 individual Level 3 fast chargers at the EVgo, Electrify America and EVCS stations surveyed weren’t working for one reason or another. 

The problem in some cases could be solved simply by a company technician turning a troublesome unit off and on again, Stern wrote, though that’s not much of a help to a motorist who needs the charge immediately. 

Stern wrote that part of the solution is replacing gear that is as new as five years old because EV charging tech is advancing. Scrapping such new equipment seems like it adds to exactly the kind of waste environmentalists will tell you they’re trying to avoid — but nothing says that you care like owning an EV, no matter what the actual impact is! 

The second troublesome issue cited by Stern had to do with credit cards being rejected. These stations really want you to go contactless, using ApplePay and other digital systems.

The third issue was a software error between the charger and the car. If there’s a timeout before things align, you have to unplug and start over.

So, with all of these headaches, are you ready to buy an electric vehicle? I think I’ll pass.
