Introduction:
A recent encounter between journalist Jordan Conradson and Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs at a gym has gone viral, sparking widespread discussion on social media platforms. In the video, Conradson questions Hobbs about the 2022 election and allegations of irregularities in Maricopa County.
The Confrontation:
During the confrontation, Conradson approached Hobbs at the gym and asked her about several issues related to the election. He questioned Hobbs about secret testing conducted on machines in Maricopa County, which were allegedly not overseen as required by the election procedures manual. Conradson also brought up concerns about discrepancies in signatures on mail-in ballot affidavits. Hobbs responded with profanity, telling Conradson to "Give it a f-ing rest, Jordan. I’m at the gym.”
Viral Impact:
The video of the confrontation quickly gained traction on social media platforms. Conradson estimated that it garnered millions of views on Twitter alone, with hundreds of thousands on other platforms such as Rumble and TikTok. The exchange drew attention to the issues raised by Conradson and sparked a debate about Hobbs' conduct as an elected official.
Gym Security and Privilege:
One notable aspect of the confrontation was the presence of armed security accompanying Hobbs at the gym. Conradson highlighted the irony of a public official requiring armed protection in an upscale country club-style gym, where the clientele consists of wealthy Arizonans. He questioned the necessity of such security measures and implied that Hobbs may be drawing attention to herself intentionally.
Election Integrity Concerns:
Conradson's line of questioning centered on allegations of irregularities during the 2022 election in Maricopa County. He pointed out the mismatched signatures on mail-in ballot affidavits, which were accepted at a superficial level without proper scrutiny. Conradson also referred to the failure of 59% of machines on Election Day, which Hobbs was responsible for overseeing. These issues highlight concerns about election integrity and the need for comprehensive audits and transparency to address serious flaws and even criminal conduct and schemes in America’s current election systems and procedures.
