The invasion at the border just keeps getting worse.

Tonight, we have a report from Ben Bergquam of Real America’s Voice that would be hard to believe were it not coming from the Biden regime.

The regime is offering concierge service for illegal border crossers. Give them a name, any name, and they will tag your bags and make sure you get them after being hustled off to an NGO for further freebies offered on your dime, the American taxpayer.

Bergquam reported from the Yuma, Arizona, border on Monday on the War Room podcast.

During his discussion, Bergquam reported that Sunday night the illegals he met were from Moldova, Egypt, Sudan and Nigeria. Hundreds were streaming into Arizona the previous night.

As Bergquam noted, there is no signature verification process. If you are an illegal migrant, you can give the U.S. government any name you want and claim to be that person.

Special Counsel John Durham released his final report Monday after more than three years investigating the Trump-Russia collusion narrative that never had any meat on the bone.

Durham concluded that the FBI had no verified intelligence or evidence when it opened up the Crossfire Hurricane probe of President Donald Trump's campaign in the summer of 2016.

Durham wrote in a 300-plus page report sent to Congress and others, stating:

“Neither U.S. law enforcement nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.”

Durham faulted the FBI and Justice Department for failing to follow their own standards and allowing the probe to continue, including the surveillance of an American citizen without basis under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Durham wrote:

“Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we concluded the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report.”

He added that:

“The FBI personnel also repeatedly disregarded important requirements when they continued to seek renewals of that FISA surveillance while acknowledging -- both then and in hindsight -- that they did not genuinely believe there was probable cause to believe that the target was knowingly engaged in clandestine intelligence activities on behalf of a foreign power.”

According to Just the News, the report's release touched off instant outrage and impact on Capitol Hill, where House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan tweeted he planned to summon Durham for testimony next week.

Durham specifically faulted the FBI for relying on evidence from Hillary Clinton's campaign, including the Steele dossier, saying leadership lacked the necessary distrust of politically motivated allegations.

He wrote:

“Our investigation also revealed that senior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities. This information in part triggered and sustained Crossfire Hurricane and contributed to the subsequent need for Special Counsel Mueller's investigation.”

In particular, he said “there was significant reliance on investigative leads provided or funded (directly or indirectly) by Trump's political opponents. The Department did not adequately examine or question these materials and the motivations of those providing them, even when at about the same time the Director of the FBI and others learned of significant and potentially contrary intelligence.”

In another story that broke last week, but is related, former CIA director and admitted communist John Brennan has now come out and admitted the infamous letter signed by 51 former intelligence officials falsely saying Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation was nothing more than a political stunt meant to help get Biden’s father elected president.

Brennan, the CIA chief during Obama's administration, made the admission during his four-hour testimony to House Judiciary Committee investigators behind closed doors last week.

Brennan's deposition comes as former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper is expected to give testimony on May 17.

Both Brennan and Clapper signed a letter by 51 former intelligence officials who claimed Hunter's laptop had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

An email shows Brennan agreeing to have his name added to the letter of signatories by the then acting CIA Director Mike Morell. 

It comes as a bombshell Republican report has claimed that the CIA was actively involved in getting the 51 signatures on the letter, which the House Judiciary Committee allege was part of a “political operation to help elect” Joe Biden in November 2020.

The Epoch Times reports that an attorney has called on House Republicans to investigate and defund the Biden Justice Department’s efforts to prosecute defendants being treated as domestic terrorists for their presence at the January 6, 2021, rally at the U.S. Capitol.

Carol Stewart, who represents several J6 defendants, told The Epoch Times:

“This could go on for two or three more years unless House Speaker Kevin McCarthy takes the floor and declares that the DOJ is abusing legislation.”

Stewart said McCarthy can make a resolution and start an investigation into the abuse of U.S. criminal codes 1752, 231, and 1512, which relate to restricted buildings or grounds; civil disorders; and tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant. 

She said these laws are being misinterpreted to frame American citizens who protested at the Capitol building as culprits in a plot to overthrow the 2020 election through a violent insurrection.

The problem, Stewart argues, is that the story the DOJ, the FBI, and the mainstream media are telling “is a lie.”

One of her clients, 56-year-old Eric Christie, is charged with violating statute 1752, a misdemeanor that criminalizes the act of entering or remaining in “any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority to do so.”

In addition, he’s alleged under subsection (b) of the law to have been brandishing “a dangerous weapon or firearm” on restricted grounds.

On Christie’s tool belt was a hammer that Stewart said was never removed, as it was part of a construction worker costume.

“He did not breach or push aside any barriers, assault police, participate in any violence, witness violence, encourage violence, enter the building, or do anything besides use protected First Amendment speech in a peaceful manner in a location that he believed was approved for speech,” Stewart wrote in her facts of the case.

Minnesota residents may soon end up on a government database if they discuss the origins of COVID-19 or quote Bible verses that criticize homosexuality.

LifeSite News reports that Minnesota’s Democrat-controlled legislature last month approved a bill that requires the state Department of Human Rights to collect allegations of perceived “discrimination” or microaggressions in a new “bias” registry.

The proposal would allow people to submit reports of alleged “slurs or verbal attacks” and similar incidents, even if they do not constitute crimes, according to the St. Cloud Times.

Democratic lawmakers introduced legislation to create a bias registry in January before adding the language to a sweeping, left-wing public safety bill, Senate File 2909, which also imposes severe restrictions on gun ownership.

Senate File 2909 allocates $934,000 to the Minnesota Department of Human Rights to “gather, analyze, and report on discrimination and hate incidents throughout Minnesota” over the next two years.

It specifically requires the department to:

solicit, receive, and compile information from community organizations, school districts and charter schools, and individuals regarding incidents committed in whole or in substantial part because of the victim’s or another’s actual or perceived race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, national origin, or disability.

The bill does not explicitly prevent collecting names of reported offenders.

And it notably includes “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” and “gender expression” as protected classes, meaning that opposition to LGBT ideology could land someone on the registry.

At a hearing about the measure in January, Minnesota Human Rights commissioner Rebecca Lucero said that the database would ensure that “little incidents” like perceived derogatory comments are “documented” and “tracked” by the government. She cited the hypothetical example of someone yelling a slur at a person on the side of the road while driving. 

For many such incidents, which “may not be criminal,” she said, “there is no coordinated, consistent tracking, reporting, analysis and recommendations for next steps,” Lucero lamented.

The Gatestone Institute reports that a mid-April visit to China of newly inaugurated Brazilian President Lula is an apparent triumph for the Chinese Communist Party in its effort to broaden its influence in Latin America. The visit also seems to have served Lula's legacy dream of being perceived as a moral beacon and advocate for the impoverished “Global South.”

Lula, now 76, is serving his third term as Brazil's president, after barely defeating the pro-U.S. and conservative nationalist former President Jair Bolsonaro. Lula has long been an advocate of socialism. He once expressed his respect for the CCP, on an earlier visit to China, “for having created this grand miracle.” According to Wang Yi, CCP Director of Foreign Affairs, Lula also expressed admiration for China's having brought millions out of poverty and hunger.

Chinese President Xi Jinping signaled the significance of Lula's visit by upgrading its bilateral relations with Brazil to a “Global Strategic Relationship,” as he urged Brazil to celebrate next year's 50th anniversary of bilateral relations by increasing support for China's “Belt and Road Initiative.” Xi also apparently persuaded Lula to support the use of China's yuan to replace the dollar as the global standard currency.

For all of these reasons, Brazil is a nation to watch as it lines up politically and economically with America’s enemies and gets absorbed into the Chinese/Russian orbit.

Professor Wang You-ming of China's Institute of International Relations describes this transition as passing from an “Economically Hot/Politically Cold Relationship to a Hot/Political and Hot Economic” status. China also wants more of Brazil’s rich farmland. China already owns more than 200,000 hectares of Brazilian land. During Lula's visit to China, 15 bilateral agreements were signed covering broad issues.

The Brazilian leader's fifth visit to China on April 14 was a stark contrast to his cool visit to the U.S. this past February. No new agreements came out of the Lula-Biden meetings. There’s also a trend of corporate America drawing down its investments in Brazil. For example, Ford Motor Company began to pull up stakes in Brazil in 2021 and is now in negotiations with a Chinese company to sell its remaining plant in Brazil's Bahia State.

The Guardian reports that a Chinese court has sentenced a 78-year-old U.S. citizen to life in prison on espionage charges.

John Shing Wan Leung, a Hong Kong permanent resident, was detained in April 2021 by Chinese security services. His sentence was announced on Monday by an intermediate people’s court on its public WeChat account. No further information about his trial or charges were listed.

Leung’s sentence also included deprivation of political rights for life, and confiscation of personal property in the amount of 500,000 yuan. There are no previous reports or notices of Leung’s arrest or trial. Espionage cases in China are treated with almost no transparency, with trials often conducted in secret and long delays between convictions and sentencing. China’s justice system also regularly reports a conviction rate above 99%.

This month, amendments to China’s anti-espionage law came into force, broadening its scope and increasing the risk to foreign individuals and organizations operating in the country, according to observers.

It is not clear what Leung is accused of. Leung, whose Hong Kong and U.S. ID numbers were published by the court, was born in Hong Kong, and was chair of the Texas branch of the Association for the Promotion of the Peaceful Reunification of China (APPRC), according to Hong Kong media. The Guardian has not independently confirmed his identity. 

National and state level APPRCs operate around the world, promoting Beijing’s claim over Taiwan and its plans for what it terms “reunification”. They are believed to be connected to the Chinese Communist party’s united front work department, a global influence operation.

The Daily Mail reports that mind-reading technology can now transcribe people’s thoughts in real-time based on the blood flow in their brain.

A study put three people in MRI machines and got them to listen to stories.

For the first time, researchers claim, they produced a rolling text of people’s thoughts, and not just single words or sentences, without using a brain implant.

The mind-reading technology did not exactly replicate the stories, but captured the main points.

The breakthrough raises concerns about ‘mental privacy’ as it could be the first step in being able to eavesdrop on others’ thoughts.

Using technology similar to ChatGPT, the technology also interpreted what people were seeing when they watched silent films, or their thoughts as they imagined telling a story.

But the researchers point out that it took 16 hours of training, with someone listening to podcasts in an MRI machine, for the computer model to understand their brain patterns and interpret what they were thinking.

People were also able to sabotage the technology, using methods like mentally listing animals’ names, to stop it reading their thoughts.

Jerry Tang, lead author of the study from the University of Texas at Austin, said he could not prove “a false sense of security” that the technology might not have the potential to eavesdrop on people’s thoughts in the future, and said even now it could be misused.

“I think, right now, while the technology is in such an early state, it's important to be proactive and get a head-start on, for one, enacting policies that protect people's mental privacy, giving people a right to their thoughts and their brain data. We want to make sure that people only use these when they want to, and that it helps them.”

Time now for our Worldview Report commentary.

We reported earlier in this broadcast how tens of thousands of illegal aliens are being escorted into the U.S., having their bags tagged and checked, while not having to provide any valid forms of ID.

Meanwhile, if you are a legal citizen of this country, the U.S. government is very interested in making sure you prove you are who you say you are. They make you do it to open a bank account, to withdraw funds, to get a driver’s license, etc.

Now they’re upping the ante, requiring biometric data, such as eye scans, or scans of your unique facial features, even your gait.

The federal TSA, or Transportation Security Administration, is about to employ some new and very invasive technology at America’s airports, starting off with a pilot program at 16 major U.S. airports this month.

Jason Lim, a so-called identity management capabilities manager, said during a demonstration of the technology to reporters at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, that “What we are trying to do with this is aid the officers to actually determine that you are who you say you are.”

So, they are now stealing your biometric data, your fingerprints, your facial scan, your iris scan, in order to make you prove you are who you say you are, treating you like a criminal, while at the same time ignoring even basic vetting of the folks streaming over the border illegally from other countries.

It’s hard to miss the irony here.

The effort to use facial recognition software at airports comes at a time when the use of various forms of technology in the name of enhanced security is culminating in the global implementation of digital IDs. 

The TSA says the pilot program is voluntary, at least for now, but privacy advocates have raised concerns about questions of bias in facial recognition technology and possible repercussions for passengers who want to opt out.

The technology is currently in 16 airports. In addition to Baltimore, it's being used at Reagan National near Washington, D.C., airports in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Jose, and Gulfport-Biloxi and Jackson in Mississippi. All the more reason to avoid flying if at all possible.
