Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the extraordinary step Monday of  dissolving his war cabinet.

The move comes on the heels of leading opposition figure Benny Gantz quitting the war cabinet last week.

National Unity party lawmaker Gadi Eisenkot, who has accused Netanyahu of allowing himself to be bullied by the far-right over Gaza strategy, had also resigned. The high-level resignations have exacerbated the deep divide over war strategy against Hamas and the question of the remaining hostages.

Netanyahu has been cited by Haaretz as saying he'll now consult a limited "forum" for sensitive wartime decisions. And The New York Times cited an Israeli official who suggested that Netanyahu’s decision to disband the body — which was communicated to ministers at a wider cabinet meeting on Sunday — was largely symbolic given that Gantz and Eisenkot had already resigned.

Dissolving the war cabinet could also be a way to prevent hardliners like the minister of national security Itamar Ben-Gvir from making political gains.

Ben-Gvir had quickly demanded to join the wartime decision-making body within hours of Gantz quitting, writing on X that it was "about time to take brave decisions, achieve true deterrence, and bring true safety to the residents of the south, north, and all of Israel."

Netanyahu has meanwhile continued to be dogged by accusations that he's intentionally prolonging the Gaza operation for the sake of his own political survival and interests.

The camps are being built under the cover of a pre-designed border crisis that actually began under President Obama, paused during the Trump administration and then got ramped up in spaded under Joe Biden.

A clear majority of Hispanic Americans are in favor of a mass deportation plan for illegal immigrants, a new survey found.

Fifty-three percent of Hispanic adults approve of “a new national program to deport all undocumented immigrants currently living in the U.S. illegally,” according to a CBS/YouGov poll conducted from June 5-7. 

Only 47% of Hispanic respondents said they opposed such a measure.

The political and demographic breakdown of the survey further indicated widespread support for the hypothetical mass deportation plan.

In total, 62% of respondents favored deporting “all” illegal immigrants from the U.S., including a majority of men, women, independents, conservatives, moderates, Republicans, individuals with a four-year college degree, those without a college education and people over 30 years of age, according to the survey’s findings. Only black Americans, Democrats, liberals and adults under 30 were mostly opposed to such a plan.

The poll’s findings follow other surveys that show Americans are shifting right on immigration issues.

Only 29% of Americans said they approve of President Joe Biden’s handling of immigration, according to an Economist/YouGov poll released on Wednesday. Conversely, more than 60% of respondents in this survey said they disapproved of his handling of the issue, and among those, 47% said they strongly disapproved.

Additional polls have indicated a more hardline shift on immigration policies, showing American voters are increasingly receptive to the idea of mass deportations, a border wall, and detention camps for illegal immigrants awaiting removal. The results show more support for border enforcement policies favored by former President Donald Trump.

On the campaign trail, Trump has vowed to conduct mass deportations of illegal immigrants if he regains the White House.

Meanwhile, the Democrats are working to influence the outcome of the 2024 election by tapping into their vast army of illegal immigrants.

Pamela Geller reports that illegal immigrants allowed in by Joe Biden’s border chaos are showing up at government offices to sign up for benefits and services, and when they do they’re being prodded to register to vote. Every state but Arizona gives applicants for either welfare benefits, driver’s licenses, or in some cases mail-in ballots voter registration forms without demanding proof of citizenship.

Biden is reportedly planning a mass amnesty scheme that will overnight make hundreds of thousands of illegals into potential 2024 voters.

Time magazine reports that North Korea has sent containers to Russia that could hold nearly 5 million artillery shells and Russian President Vladimir Putin will likely seek even more munitions when he soon visits Pyongyang, South Korea’s defense minister said.

Shin Wonsik said in an interview with Bloomberg News that Seoul has detected at least 10,000 shipping containers being sent from North Korea to Russia, which could hold as many as 4.8 million artillery shells of the likes that Putin has used in his bombardment of Ukraine.

“Putin is expected to seek closer security cooperation with North Korea, especially military supplies such as artillery shells that are necessary to seize a chance to win,” Shin said. He also said North Korea has sent dozens of ballistic missiles to help Putin’s attack on his neighbor. 

In return for the munitions, Russia has sent to North Korea technology to help in its plans to deploy an array of spy satellites as well as conventional arms such as tanks and aircraft.

Putin is set to visit North Korea as early as next week, the DongA Ilbo newspaper of South Korea has reported. The trip would be his first there since July 2000 and it’s set to stoke concerns from the U.S. and its partners of arms transfers that have helped the Kremlin in its assault on Ukraine in exchange for aid propping up Kim Jong Un’s regime.

NATO is in talks to deploy more nuclear weapons in the face of a growing threat from Russia and China, the head of the alliance has said.

In an interview with the British news outlet The Telegraph, Jens Stoltenberg said the NATO military alliance must show its nuclear arsenal to the world to send a direct message to its foes.

He revealed there were active consultations between NATO members on taking missiles out of storage and placing them on standby as he called for transparency to be used as a deterrent.

Stoltenberg said: “I won’t go into operational details about how many nuclear weapons should be operational and which should be stored, but we need to consult on these issues. That’s exactly what we’re doing at NATO.”

In an interview at the NATO headquarters in Brussels, he gave a stark warning about the threat from China. He also defended new plans to Trump-proof weapons deliveries to Ukraine.

Stoltenberg said nuclear transparency should be the cornerstone of NATO’s nuclear strategy to prepare the alliance for what he described as a more dangerous world.

A decade ago when Stoltzenberg assumed his role at the top of the bloc, nuclear exercises were conducted in complete secrecy.

Now he openly praises a number of its 32 allies for contributing to the deterrent, including most recently The Netherlands for investing in dual-capable fighter jets that can host US nuclear weapons.

Stoltenberg said:

“Transparency helps to communicate the direct message that we, of course, are a nuclear alliance. NATO’s aim is, of course, a world without nuclear weapons, but as long as nuclear weapons exist, we will remain a nuclear alliance, because a world where Russia, China and North Korea have nuclear weapons, and NATO does not, is a more dangerous world.”

He warned that China in particular was investing heavily in modern weaponry including its nuclear arsenal, which he said would grow to 1,000 warheads by as early as 2030.

The Epoch Times reports that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-Ohio) said Sunday that the United States is at its “highest level” for the possibility of a terrorist attack occurring on American soil.

During an interview with CBS News, Turner was asked about reports of recent arrests with individuals having ties to the ISIS terrorist group in the United States.

Turner said:

“What’s important about these reports and what we’re seeing, especially in conjunction with [FBI] Director [Christopher] Wray’s public statements, that we are at the highest level of a possible terrorist threat, that the administration’s policies have absolutely directly related to threats to Americans.”

He added that the threats are “no longer speculative” and “no longer hypothetical” in light of public comments made by the FBI director during multiple congressional committee meetings in the past six months.

Turner noted that “We have actual administration officials stepping forward and certainly our committee and our committee members have concurred on the intelligence that we’re seeing. That as a result of the administration’s policies allowing people to cross the border unvetted, we have terrorists that are actively working with those inside the United States that are a threat to Americans.”

His comments came in light of reports, citing unnamed U.S. officials, that claimed that at least eight Tajikistan nationals with alleged ties to ISIS were arrested in several major cities including New York, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

The Western Journal reports that a massive, years-long study shows the overwhelming majority of young people who identify as transgender will grow out of the diagnosis within five years. Researchers, who tracked all children and young adults diagnosed with gender dysphoria over a nine-year period, found a similar supermajority of trans people suffered from at least one other psychological condition.

The Central Institute for Statutory Health Insurance in Germany reviewed all the medical billing records from the nation’s health care providers for insured people between the ages of five and 24 diagnosed with gender identity disorders from 2013 to 2022.

Researchers then combed through the data to identify trends in the number of children and adolescents diagnosed with transgenderism, including the prevalence, demographics, and duration of those struggling with their gender identity.

Two out of three young people medically diagnosed with gender dysphoria will no longer identify as a member of the opposite sex within five years. Researchers found overall that 63.6 percent of trans children and adolescents desisted from their clinically-confirmed gender diagnosis, and “only 36.4 percent had a confirmed [gender identity disorder] diagnosis after five years.”

Experts found the majority of all people who identified as transgender desisted during that time frame.

The number of young people identified with gender identity disorders rose by 780 percent. Although they note some of this increase is due to the way the condition is coded, correcting for this still shows a nearly three-fold increase in transgender diagnoses (289 percent).

They pointed out that other studies show similar increases in the number of doctors identifying young people as transgender, ranging from 280 percent to an incredible 1,019 percent.

Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced Monday he is suing pharmaceutical giant Pfizer for misleading Kansas residents about the safety and efficacy of its COVID-19 jabs.

During a press conference in Topeka, alongside Deputy Attorney General Fran Oleen and Assistant Attorneys General Kaley Schrader and Melanie Jack, Kobach detailed the allegations lodged against Pfizer.

Kobach said:

“Pfizer made multiple misleading statements to deceive the public about its vaccine at a time when Americans needed the truth.”

The complaint, lodged Monday in Thomas County District Court, accuses Pfizer of misleading Kansans about the vaccines’ risks, including potential harm to pregnant women and the risk of myocarditis. The suit further alleges that Pfizer falsely and repeatedly claimed its vaccine was safe and effective against COVID variants, despite evidence to the contrary.

Pfizer is also accused of suggesting its vaccine prevented COVID-19 transmission despite admitting it had not studied whether its vaccine halted transmission.

Billionaire tech businessman Elon Musk has predicted that cellphones will become obsolete in the future, being replaced by chips that are implanted directly in the human brain.

His Neuralink biotech company implanted a brain chip for the first time in 30-year-old quadriplegic Noland Arbaugh back in January. The surgical procedure involved placing the computer chip – which is about the size of a coin – in the region of the brain which controls the intention to move. The chip is then used to “record and transmit brain signals wirelessly to an app that decodes movement intention.”

Musk shared his latest prediction in response to a post published on X by a parody account named Not Elon Musk on Sunday. The original message read: “Would you install a Neuralink interface on your brain to allow you to control your new X phone by thinking?”

Musk replied by claiming that “in the future, there will be no phones, just Neuralinks.”

In a press release last year, Neuralink said its Precise Robotically Implanted Brain-Computer Interface program aims at developing a “fully implantable, wireless brain-computer interface” that would at first grant people the ability to control a computer cursor or keyboard using their thoughts. It would later pave the way for revolutionary treatments for people suffering from various physical disabilities such as paralysis and blindness.
In an interview with Joe Rogan in 2018, Musk suggested that Neuralink could also one day allow humans to communicate without using words, and possibly also achieve a state of “symbiosis” with artificial intelligence.

Time now for our Worldview Report commentary.

A journalist for the Tennessee Star could be facing jail time for publishing journal writings of Audrey Hale, the transgender-identified woman who killed six people at a Christian school in Nashville in March 2023.

The shooter’s manifesto has been the subject of a legal and cultural debate after the authorities refused to release the document. The Tennessee Star’s article describes the content of Hale’s bizarre writings, and how she would “kill” to obtain puberty blockers. Now, the newspaper’s editor-in-chief, Patrick Leahy, could be facing a contempt of court charge for allowing the article to be published.

For more than a year, Nashville Chancery Judge I’Ashea Myles has been presiding over a public-records case in which the plaintiffs are suing to get the right to release documents related to the shooting. Families of the victims are on the exact opposite side, trying to bury the documents and keep them out of the public eye.

But since the case in ongoing, Myles is claiming that the Tennessee Star may have published “certain purported documents and information” that should have remained under seal.

At Myle's request, Tennessee Star editor-in-chief Michael Patrick Leahy was to appear in court Monday to explain why his news outlet didn't violate the court order.

Leahy has defended the news outlet’s article, arguing that it did not publish any of the images that were leaked.

Author and journalist Michael Shellenberger chimed in on the case in a post on X in which he detailed how the Pentagon tried in the 1970s to stop the publication of documents that could be embarrassing to the military. He stated that, “The case is important for anyone who cares about free speech, a free press, and the Pentagon Papers principle.”

We here at the Worldview Report are one of those who still care about the First Amendment and believe it’s worth fighting for. No court has or other government entity has the constitutional authority to dictate what a free press is able to publish. The freedom of the press is just as essential as free speech and freedom of religion because without a free press, there is no one to hold the government accountable. Private media become essentially state-run media, even if the ownership is in private hands. We have seen this over the last three years in which Biden administration officials have admitted the are in regular consultation with the major social media companies, telling them what they should all to be written on their platforms about such controversial issues as Covid lockdowns and election integrity.

This is an issue that affects everyone, whether they work at a media outlet or just want to speak their mind on a social media account.
