Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.

We start off tonight with a disturbing story out of Maryland, where parents with children enrolled at a school district near Washington, D.C., were outraged after the district announced that it would not allow students to opt out of so-called gender identity lessons.

In a March 23 email, the Montgomery County Public Schools informed parents that it would no longer notify them about gender identity lessons. In an effort to promote an “inclusive environment,” the district also stated that children could not be opted out of the curriculum.

The school district stated:

“MCPS expects all classrooms to be inclusive and safe spaces for students, including those who identify as LGBTQ+ or have family members in the LGBTQ+ community. A broad representation of personal characteristics within curricular or instructional materials promotes this desired outcome. Therefore, as with all curriculum resources, there is an expectation that teachers utilize these inclusive lessons and texts with all students.”

While children are now required to complete the gender identity lessons, they may still be removed from “sexual health education,” the district explained, adding:

“As is standard practice, when planning for instruction, teachers/schools are encouraged to utilize a variety of resources to continue to promote an inclusive environment as outlined in the MCPS Core Values and Board Policy. Students and families may not choose to opt out of engaging with any instructional materials, other than ‘Family Life and Human Sexuality Unit of Instruction’ which is specifically permitted by Maryland law. As such, teachers will not send home letters to inform families when inclusive books are read in the future.”

In response to the notification letter, 70 parents attended the Montgomery County School Board meeting on Tuesday to speak out about the policy. Parents fought for their right to have a say in their children’s education and argued that teaching gender identity lessons violated their religious beliefs, the Daily Caller News Foundation reported.

One parent, Laura Wright, told the outlet that her child would be in the second grade next year, where he will be reading “My Rainbow” by DeShanna Neal and Trinity Neal.

“It’s a book about a transgender kid,” Wright stated. “He’s gonna be learning words like cisgender and transgender. That’s really heavy for his age. I wonder why aren’t they also learning about depression and suicide and addictions at this age then? It’s really heavy and I’m surprised.”

A school presentation revealed that the district previously released a list of LGBT+ books that it planned to incorporate in elementary school classrooms. One of those books for pre-kindergarten, titled “Pride Puppy,” is a story about a family celebrating Pride Day. In addition, a book for kindergarteners called “Uncle Bobby’s Wedding” is a story about same-sex marriage.

Lindsey Smith, the chapter chair of Montgomery County Moms for Liberty, told the news outlet that parents attended the meeting with signs that read “we do not co-parent with the government” and “believe in parents to love all others.”

Radical trans activists invaded the Florida state Capitol on Friday with a day of rage in protest of state legislators voting to protect children from school indoctrination and safeguarding parental rights.

The crazed protest comes just days after a “transgender” terrorist murdered six people, including three children at a private Christian school in Nashville.

The trans activists in Tallahassee were furious over a bill called HB 1069. The legislation would bar school employees from asking students for their pronouns and sharing their own pronouns if they “do not correspond to that person’s sex.”

The bill would also boost parental rights by giving parents the ability to object to instructional material or library books and would require school educators to teach that sex is biologically determined.

The far-left “protesters” decided to invade the state capitol to air their grievances.

That chaotic scene mirrored what we saw in the Tennessee last week when radical anti-Second Amendment Marxists invaded the state Capitol in Nashville.

Influential members of Congress and top human rights advocates in Washington are urging the Biden administration to take immediate action to ensure the safety of a group of Chinese Christian dissidents and two Americans detained by Thai authorities Thursday.

The group of refugees, including 35 children and 28 adults, fled China in 2019 to escape persecution. They initially sought refuge in South Korea and then Thailand while seeking emergency asylum in the United States. But the U.S. State Department and Department of Homeland Security have declined to grant the church members emergency asylum, as it has done for many others, including tens of thousands of Ukrainians and Afghans.

For months, human rights and religious freedom advocates have warned the State Department that Thai authorities have a history of working with the Chinese government to draw Chinese nationals out of hiding, arrest them, and send them back to their homeland, where they face imprisonment, torture, or worse.

Now the very scenario they warned about has taken place. On Thursday, Thai police raided the residence where the 63 refugees were staying and two Americans were visiting, arrested the group, fingerprinted them, and detained them in a holding facility.

The Chinese nationals face a deportation hearing Friday and could be sent back to China in a matter of days. Two American women from Tyler, Texas, Deana Brown and Stacy Nichols, are also being held, although it’s unclear whether they face charges. Brown is the founder and CEO of Freedom Seekers International, a nonprofit that helps Christians persecuted overseas to resettle in the United States.

Rep. Mike McCaul, a Texas Republican who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee, urged swift action by the Biden administration to help protect the group of Christian dissidents. The group of 63 are members of the Shenzhen Holy Reform Church, a Protestant Christian denomination founded in 2012 on the Chinese mainland bordering Hong Kong.

For several years, the Shenzhen Holy Reform Church existed relatively peacefully but faced increasing surveillance and intimidation tactics under President Xi Jinping’s crackdown on all religious organizations that don’t agree to state church registrations and the government’s heavy-handed rules. 

The exiled Chinese Christian group is referred to by some advocates as the “Mayflower Church,” inspired by the Pilgrims who left their homeland for the New World four centuries ago. 

McCaul told RealClearPolitics in a statement:

“Religious freedom, and its protection abroad, are core tenets of America’s constitutional tradition. I strongly urge the administration to ensure the safety of those connected to the Mayflower Church who are threatened by the [Chinese Communist Party].”

The Satanic Temple has announced its second annual convention to be held in Boston this spring is sold out, according to a post on its website.

According to Charisma News, the convention known as “SatanCon 2023” will be held on April 28-30 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. It is being promoted as “a weekend of blasphemy and remembrance in Boston” and will also celebrate The Satanic Temple's 10-year anniversary.

The group also claims the convention will be the “largest Satanic gathering in history.”

As CBN News reported in January, the theme of the convention is “Hexennacht in Boston” or “Witches Night,” an ancient German holiday that occurs annually on April 30. The SatanCon event includes a “Satanic Ball” on the opening night, April 28th.

Lucien Greaves, the Satanic Temple's co-founder, and spokesperson is set to deliver the keynote address of the conference along with co-founder Malcolm Jarr on Saturday morning.

Other scheduled sessions include Satanic Panic in Brazil, Hellbillies: Visible Satanism in Rural America, Deconstructing Your Religious Upbringing, Reclaiming the Trans Body: Atheistic Strategies for Self-Determination and Empowerment and Sins of the Flesh: Satanism and Self-Pleasure.

The convention will also offer a Satanic marketplace for those in attendance.

TST claims it has a Boston-area membership of 2,449 people.

The wife and staff of stroke-damaged freshman Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) arranged a media rollout for his discharge from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, as he ended six weeks of inpatient treatment for “severe clinical depression” where he had been held incommunicado.

The rollout featured an interview with Jane Pauley for CBS Sunday Morning taped two days before his Friday release that aired this Sunday morning in which Fetterman made a shocking admission about his condition that had been hidden from the public after the November election and before he entered the Senate in January: “I had stopped leaving my bed. I had stopped eating. I was dropping weight. I had stopped engaging some of the, most things that I love in my life.”

That, ladies and gentlemen, is what they call in the journalism business, your classic puff piece. At no point do they address the elephant in the room, that this man is unable to perform his job as a U.S. Senator.

Fetterman is noticeably improved from when he entered Walter Reed on February 15. He can speak. He eats and drinks. He can hear a little better. 

But can he function at the level needed for a U.S. Senator? When Gisele talks while seated next to her husband, it becomes clear he is still not all there as the side-by-side contrast between a normal, healthy person and a brain-damaged, heavily medicated person is shown, even allowing for the closed captioning he still needs for conversation.

It's time for John Fetterman to do the right thing and resign from the U.S. Senate. If he’d been honest with himself, he would never have run for that office in the first place.

In case you missed it, and I’m guessing most of you did because it’s not been widely reported in Western media, Ukraine is cracking down on the freedom of religion.

Ukraine is already a one-party state under the Zelenskyy regime where all opposition is banned and the government has effectively nationalized the country’s entire media. And now Zelenskyy is demanding that the head of the Orthodox Church be placed under house arrest.

Ukraine’s equivalent of the KGB, the SBU, notified a top Orthodox priest Saturday that he was suspected of justifying Russia’s aggression, a criminal offense, amid a bitter dispute over a famed Orthodox monastery.

According to Breitbart News, Metropolitan Pavel, the abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery, Ukraine’s most revered Orthodox site, has strongly resisted the government’s order to vacate the complex. Earlier in the week, he cursed Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, threatening him with damnation.

During a court hearing in the Ukrainian capital, he strongly rejected the claim by the Security Service of Ukraine, known as the SBU, that he condoned Russia’s invasion. Pavel described the accusations against him as politically driven.

SBU agents raided his residence and prosecutors asked the court to put him under house arrest pending the investigation. 

The monks in the monastery belong to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The dispute surrounding the property, also known as Monastery of the Caves, is part of a wider religious conflict that has unfolded in parallel with the war.

The Ukrainian government has cracked down on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church over its historic ties to the Russian Orthodox Church, whose leader, Patriarch Kirill, has supported Russian President Vladimir Putin in the invasion of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church has insisted that it’s loyal to Ukraine and has denounced the Russian invasion from the start. The church declared its independence from Moscow. But that’s still not good enough for Zelenskyy, who has ratcheted up the persecution of the church in recent months. And now he’s stooped to arresting elderly priests.

The CIA is going woke.

The Floridian reports that the spy agency is ramping up its efforts in Florida to quell dissension from Governor Ron DeSantis and his followers against the LGBTQ+ agenda. This week the CIA hired activist and former Democrat candidate Elijah Manley as “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Associate.”

Starting April 5th, Manley said he will be taking a job at the CIA as its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Associate. In this role, he says, “I will be assisting the agency in its efforts to become a 21st century leader in equality.”

Manley, who ran for the Florida House of Representatives in 2022, has been involved in LGBTQ+ and Human Rights activism in South Florida.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's Rapid Response Director and critic of equity and inclusion, Christina Pushaw, was not amused. “This better be an April Fools joke,” Pushaw tweeted.

Pushaw referred to previous tweets from Manley calling DeSantis a fascist.

Manley tweeted on January 29 that, “Everything Ron DeSantis and the fascist GOP does in Florida will be repealed in due time. No one has power forever in this state.”

Pushaw shared another tweet from Manley from June 2, 2022 that stated: “Everywhere Ron DeSantis goes, he must be shamed and protested because he's a dangerous dictator who wants to make it harder for you and your family to thrive in this state.”

In his new job with the CIA, Manley told the Floridian in a written statement: “I will be working to make sure all CIA employees feel welcome and ensure they have support to perform to the fullest of their abilities in the workplace, in pursuit of U.S. national security objectives.”

The CIA states on their website they are committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Time now for our Worldview Report commentary.

Beginning this month, the Biden administration is making it illegal to sell traditional incandescent bulbs at stores in the United States. With one sweep of the pen, Biden’s executive order made sure that Americans no longer get to choose what kind of light bulbs they wish to burn in their own homes.

The executive order enforced by the Department of Energy was signed nearly a year ago, but it’s just now taking effect, forcing the phasing out of the incandescent light bulbs and requiring only LEDs, the argument for which is that they are more in tune with the green economy the Biden regime is forcing on America. In reality, the LED bulbs, while using less energy, are more toxic to the environment after they have outlived their useful life.

The DoE published a press release describing the executive order on April 26th, 2022, which reads:

“The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today adopted two new rules for light bulbs, also known as general service lamps, that will conserve energy and help consumers save on their energy bills…These rules are part of 100 energy efficiency actions the Biden Administration is completing this year, which together will save families $100 every year.”

Over the next 30 years, the rules are projected to cut carbon emissions by 222 million metric tons. LED lightbulbs also last 25 to 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs.

U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm, said:

“DoE has concurrently announced an enforcement policy that allows for a managed transition helping entities all along the distribution chain, including manufacturers, importers, private labelers, distributors, and retailers adjust their production and inventory. The enforcement policy contains two parts: a period of enforcement leniency and a period of progressive enforcement with an emphasis on transitioning production first.”

Approximately 47% of U.S. households mostly or completely have converted to LEDs, according to the latest government data. So more than half the nation still prefers the old-fashioned incandescent light bulb. Thanks to the socialist policies of Joe Biden, they won’t be able to buy them any longer. 

This is an administration that no longer believes in capitalism or economic freedom. They tell you what’s best for you to buy and then they criminalize the competition.

So when someone tries to tell you America is still a nation based on free enterprise and capitalism, don’t believe them. It’s not. Not when policies like this are allowed to be implemented arbitrarily buy one man. That’s how socialist dictatorships are run. No free republics. Next thing you know they’ll be telling you what kinds of cars you’re allowed to buy and what kinds of appliances meet the litmus test of their green fantasyland. Oh wait, they’re already doing that.

Every presidential candidate running in the Republican primary this upcoming election cycle should be asked if they’re going to reverse this executive order and all of the myriad other ones that force manufacturers and retailers to give us fewer choices.
