The chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH), issued a cryptic statement Wednesday about a “serious national security threat.”

All members of Congress were encouraged by Turner to attend a private briefing and learn of the details, most of which are being kept hidden from the American people.

Turner said in a statement posted to X:

“Today, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence has made available to all Members of Congress information concerning a serious national security threat.  I am requesting that President Biden declassify all information relating to this threat so that Congress, the Administration, and our allies can openly discuss the actions necessary to respond to this threat.”

Beyond this scant information, Congressman Turner told his fellow lawmakers in a “Dear Colleague” letter that his committee had “identified an urgent matter with regard to a destabilizing foreign military capability that should be known by all Congressional policy makers.”

I interviewed national security expert David Pyne on Wednesday and he told me that the threat is related to a super-EMP attack that could take out the electric grid for at least half the country and may allegedly involve Russian actors. The timing is suspicious, to say the least, just a week after the Tucker Carlson interview with the Russian president and in the middle of a big congressional fight over another round of military aid for Ukraine.

House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday morning shut down the Senate’s foreign aid bill and blasted Joe Biden in a fiery press conference.

Last week Republican Senators voted against advancing a compromised border security bill that would have allocated more money to foreign countries while largely ignoring the U.S. border.

The Senate’s $118.28 billion national security supplemental package allocated $60 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

Only $20.23 billion was allocated to secure the U.S. border amid an unprecedented invasion of military-age males from Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and China.

After this bill failed to pass the Senate last week, Schumer rolled out another supplemental aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

The Senate early Tuesday passed Schumer’s supplemental aid package and allocated $95 billion to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. 22 Republicans voted in favor of giving foreign countries money while ignoring the crisis at the U.S. border.

The $95 billion package died in the House. Speaker Mike Johnson shut it down.

Johnson stated:

“The Republican-led House will not be jammed or forced into passing a foreign aid bill that was opposed by most Republican Senators and does nothing to secure our own border.”

In another harbinger of what’s ahead due to Biden’s open-border policies, the FBI reports a spike in gang activity due to an influx of illegal immigrants from Venezuela.

FBI officials report the violent MS-13 gang “may be exploring an alliance” with a gang from Venezuela,  “blamed for a crime wave in New York City,” according to Yahoo News.

The FBI threat assessment unit and the New York Police Department (NYPD) issued a warning about the building of “vicious rivalries” and alliances.”

Last week, the NYPD initiated a crackdown on gang activity—noting that the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang was linked to a string of 62 robberies over four days. Tren de Aragua is known as a violent South America-based gang that desires to establish itself in North America.

A recent attack, caught on security video, shows a pair of gang members dragging a woman by her purse. The woman dropped the purse after being slammed into a metal pole.

The flow of illegals is no longer coming from the southern border alone. Northern states are battling a record-breaking surge of illegal immigrants entering the United States from Canada, Border Patrol officials said. 

Swanton Sector Chief Patrol Agent Robert Garcia, whose territory includes portions of Vermont, New Hampshire and New York, wrote last week on X, formerly Twitter: “The record-breaking surge of illegal entries from Canada continues in Swanton Sector.”

He is urging the public to make a report if they see something suspicious. Garcia said that a private citizen's report in Champlain, N.Y., led to the arrest of 10 citizens from Bangladesh who attempted to enter the U.S. from Canada.

Garcia said earlier this month on X: “Since October 1, 2023, Swanton Sector Border Patrol Agents have apprehended more than 3,100 subjects from 55 countries (more than Fiscal Years 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019 combined).” 

While data has not been released for January 2024, every month since the start of Fiscal Year 2022, which began in October 2021, the Swanton sector has seen more encounters than that same month the year before, data shows. For example, December 2024 saw more encounters than any other December on record, as did December 2023 and December 2022.

Breitbart reports that at a time when the Jewish state is battling an existential threat, President Joe Biden assured the Jordanian king that Jewish and Christian prayer would continue to be banned — under what is known as the “status quo” — on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, the holiest site in the Jewish faith and revered by Christians worldwide, so as not to inflame Muslim anger.

On Monday, President Biden and King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed the Gaza war at the White House, with Abdullah advocating for an immediate end to the war, even with an undefeated Hamas still ruling the coastal enclave. This despite the fact that the U.S.-designated Islamic terror group, whose charter calls for the murder of Jews and the elimination of the Jewish state through relentless jihad, perpetrated the worst terrorist attack in Israel’s history in October, in an operation stemming from its radical beliefs. 

Biden made a bizarre comment during his welcoming of King Abdullah to the White House, saying, “and by the way Barack is looking at you in the corner over there.”

The attack, which Hamas dubbed “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” after the Temple Mount, saw some 3,000 terrorists burst into Israel by land, sea, and air, and gun down participants at an outdoor music festival while others went door-to-door hunting for Jewish men, women, and children in local towns who were then subject to torture, rape, execution, immolation, and kidnapping. 

These are the folks who get all the spiritual rights on the Temple Mount under the status quo. Good job Joe. 

Contrary to claims of its Islamic sanctity, Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Koran, though it is mentioned nearly 700 times in the Hebrew Bible.

The Jordanian monarch also warned against an impending Israeli ground operation in Rafah, despite the location and rescue of two Israeli hostages there on Monday morning, as he insisted “we must not ignore the situation in the West Bank and in the holy sites of Jerusalem.”

According to a White House readout of the meeting, Biden agreed, and “underscored the importance of upholding the status quo at the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount, recognizing Jordan’s crucial role as the custodian of Muslim holy places in Jerusalem.”

More studies continue to be published warning about the dangers of plastic residue in American food and beverages, the latest being a series of investigative reports and studies published by Consumer Reports so far this year.

First published on January 4th, and updated on February 8th, CR tested 100 popular food items for plasticizers, and found “that despite growing evidence of potential health threats, bisphenols and phthalates remain widespread in our food.”

The study looked at “prepared meals, fruits and vegetables, milk and other dairy products, baby food, fast food, meat, and seafood, all packaged in cans, pouches, foil, or other material,” including some organic ones as well.

Specifically, the analysis looked for bisphenols and phthalates that leach into the food. 

Consumer Reports wrote:

“The findings on phthalates are particularly concerning: We found them in almost every food we tested, often at high levels. The levels did not depend on packaging type, and no one particular type of food—say, dairy products or prepared meals—was more likely than another to have them. For example, we found high levels in, among other products, Del Monte sliced peaches, Chicken of the Sea pink salmon, Fairlife Core Power high-protein chocolate milkshakes, Yoplait Original French vanilla low-fat yogurt, and several fast foods, including Wendy’s crispy chicken nuggets, a Chipotle chicken burrito, and a Burger King Whopper with cheese.”

Organic products were no better: In fact, the highest phthalate levels found were in a can of Annie’s Organic cheesy ravioli.

The trouble is, there are so many ways these chemicals enter our food.

Early efforts to limit exposure to them focused on packaging, but it’s now clear that phthalates in particular can also get in from the plastic in the tubing, conveyor belts, and gloves used during food processing, and can even enter directly into meat and produce via contaminated water and soil.

There are few regulations restricting the use of these chemicals in food production, or requiring that manufacturers test foods for them.

Every year a set of ads played during the Super Bowl causes a controversy, and this year was no different. 

This year an ad produced by a nonprofit group, which claims to be Christian, caused the most backlash.

The minute-long ad titled “He Gets Us,” featured a diverse cast of people washing each other’s feet. One picture featured a Hispanic police officer washing the feet of a black man in an alleyway; another of a mother washing the feet of her daughter outside of an abortion clinic; others appeared to be same-sex couples washing each other’s feet.

Before closing the commercial ended with upbeat tune and said, “Jesus didn’t preach hate. He washed feet.”

The nonprofit group explained their reasoning in a blog post. They claim they chose to go this route because “with an upcoming election year that will be filled with division and derision, we decided to focus on one of the most important directives given by Jesus — Love Your Neighbor.”

Yes, Jesus taught us to love. But he also taught us to resist evil and flee from it.

As Jacob Thompson of The Winepress News pointed out, Jesus showed mercy, but he NEVER once condoned anyone’s sins: he called them to repentance, not just a change of the mind, but of the heart, and repenting of who they are, a sinner, so that He can transform them into what He wants them to be.

Thompson writes:

“This false gospel without repentance has destroyed this once blessed country; and instead of telling people to get away from sin, and to condemn sin, instead these evil ministers of Satan will tell you to embrace it, and don’t judge them and don’t cast stones. Those are the words of false converts.”

Two days after Paramount Global announced a record-high audience for the Super Bowl, the entertainment giant announced that it is cutting 800 jobs.

According to CNBC the layoffs amount to 3 percent of Paramount Global’s overall workforce, which stood at 24,500 at the end of 2022.

“These adjustments will help enable us to build on our momentum and execute our strategic vision for the year ahead — and I firmly believe we have much to be excited about,” Bob Bakish, Paramount’s top executive, said in a note to employees.

Paramount Global owns CBS, Paramount Pictures, Pluto TV, Paramount+, Nickelodeon, BET and Comedy Central.

According to the New York Post, CBS will be hit with 20 cuts out of its 2,000 employees, including award-winning senior correspondent Catherine Herridge.

Herridge covered national security for CBS. Prior to that, she was the chief intelligence correspondent for Fox News for over 20 years. 

But here’s the reason why she has become a black sheep in the Washington establishment media. Herridge has been embroiled in a First Amendment lawsuit in which she is refusing to divulge the sources of a 2017 report from the days when she worked at Fox News.

The Post quoted a source saying Ciprian-Matthews “got rid of her enemies under the guise of budget cuts.”

Just the News reports that a new study finds that human-caused carbon dioxide emissions are driving increased plant growth that’s actually greening the Earth, even in areas that have been experiencing drought.

The peer-reviewed study, which was published in the scientific journal Global Ecology and Conservation, finds that the phenomenon known as “global greening” is an indisputable fact. The rate of global greening has increased slightly, and drought has only slowed, but not stopped, the process.

The study, which was done by Chinese and Australian researchers, attributes the greening to carbon dioxide fertilization as well as land management, such as irrigation. The opposite of greening is referred to as browning. The study found that greening acceleration occurred in 55.15% of the globe, while browning occurred in only 7.28%.

The authors wrote:

“Combined with meteorological variables, we found that CO2 change dominated the [greening] trend.”

The fact that carbon dioxide emissions are stimulating plant growth is not a new finding. In 2016, a study in Nature Climate Change using NASA satellite data found that 25% to 50% of the Earth’s vegetated lands showed significant greening over the previous 35 years from when the study was done.

Gregory Wrightstone, executive director of the CO2 Coalition, told Just The News that global greening is among the benefits of global warming that are ignored and dismissed because it doesn’t fit a narrative that climate change is causing a crisis.

Wrightstone stated:

“There’s a lot of people who make a lot of money on the backs of the false notion of a pending climate crisis.”

The Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory parade on Wednesday witnessed shots fired, resulting in an undetermined number of wounded, with authorities stating that two armed individuals are in custody.

The episode occurred near Union Station and the Kansas City police released everyone from the building. 

The agency confirmed:

“Shots were fired west of Union Station near the garage and multiple people were struck. We took two armed people into custody for more investigation. Anyone nearby needs to leave the area as quickly and safely as possible to facilitate treatment of the shooting victims.”

The scene was described Wednesday afternoon as chaotic.

The Gateway Pundit reports that Apple enthusiasts have long awaited the new Apple Vision Pro headset, but research suggests the new device could potentially “rewire” the brains of those who use it.

A new study from Stanford University researchers revealed Apple’s new Vision Pro headsets have the potential to impact brain patterns negatively.

Researchers wrote that wearing the virtual headsets caused “visual aftereffects, lapse in judgments of distance, induce simulator sickness, and interfere with social connection.”

One researcher who participated in the study reported difficulty pressing elevator buttons and bringing food to his mouth after wearing the headset for a few hours.

Since the release of the new Vision Pro headset, many Apple consumers have donned the pricey headset out in public.

It’s my opinion that devices like this will do a good job of creating zombies. People unable to function in public. Unable to establish a social connection. Basically, you will lose your humanity as the virtual world of fantasy overtakes what’s real. At some point, you won’t be able to tell the difference.

Transhumanism expert Patrick Wood said people who use virtual reality goggles and get addicted to them will suffer from a condition known as clinical psychosis.

The 3 main symptoms of psychosis are:

• hallucinations – where a person hears, sees and, in some cases, feels, smells or tastes things that do not exist outside their mind but can feel very real to the person affected by them; a common hallucination is hearing voices.
• delusions – where a person has strong beliefs that are not shared by others; a common delusion is someone believing there’s a conspiracy to harm them.
• disordered thinking and speaking – a person’s thoughts and ideas come very quickly, which can make their speech fast and confusing.

I think many of the Big Tech elites already live in this world and suffer from these delusions. As they say, misery loves company. Like demons, they want to drag us into the same dark place they inhabit.
