Good evening everyone and welcome to the Worldview Report. I’m your host,
Brannon Howse.
The World Health Organization last week updated its list of medicines that it said
governments should be stockpiling for radiological and nuclear emergencies, along
with policy advice for their appropriate management. These stockpiles include
medicines that either prevent or reduce exposure to radiation, or treat injuries once
exposure has occurred.
Dr. Maria Neira, the WHO’s acting assistant director-general for its “Healthier
Populations Division” released the following statement:
“In radiation emergencies, people may be exposed to radiation at doses ranging
from negligible to life-threatening. Governments need to make treatments available
for those in need – fast. It is essential that governments are prepared to protect the
health of populations and respond immediately to emergencies. This includes
having ready supplies of lifesaving medicines that will reduce risks and treat
injuries from radiation.”
The WHO provides examples of practices in establishing and managing a national
stockpile in selected countries, namely Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Japan,
Republic of Korea, Russian Federation and the USA.
Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of WHO’s Health Emergencies Program, stated:

“This updated critical medicines list will be a vital preparedness and readiness tool
for our partners to identify, procure, stockpile and deliver effective
countermeasures in a timely fashion to those at risk or exposed in these events.”
A typical radiation emergency stockpile will include the following medicines:
 Stable iodine, administered to prevent or reduce the exposure of the thyroid
to radioactive iodine
 Chelating sand decorporating agents (Prussian blue, applied to remove
radioactive caesium from the body and calcium- / zinc-DTPA used to treat
internal contamination
 Cytokines used for mitigation of damage to the bone marrow, in case of
acute radiation syndrome (ARS)
 Medicines used to treat vomiting, diarrhea and infections.
Radiological and nuclear emergencies may result in exposure to radiation doses
high enough to lead to severe health consequences or even death. It is therefore
extremely important that governments respond rapidly to such threats. Many
countries, however, still lack the essential elements of preparedness for radiation
emergencies, according to annual reporting to the WHO Secretariat.

Red State has a posted an editorial that describes the Republican Party as “a
useless, spineless husk.”
Though House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has kept his promise to kick congressmen
Eric Swalwell and Adam Schiff off the Permanent Select Committee on
Intelligence, things are a bit more complicated when it comes to Rep. Ilhan Omar,
the far left Democrat from Minnesota who came to America as a refugee from the
Islamic state of Somalia. That’s because the Speaker doesn’t have unilateral
authority over non-select committees, meaning any removal will take a full vote of
the House.
Omar, who is accurately described in the Red State essay as a notorious anti-
Semite who has continuously supported policies that empower terrorist regimes,
served on the powerful Foreign Affairs Committee under the previous Congress.
That she was placed there at all despite her lack of experience was already unusual,
and Omar’s radicalism only made the appointment all the more egregious.

Still, Republicans weren’t of the mind to remove Omar until Rep. Nancy Pelosi,
joined by other Democrats, kicked two Republicans off their committees for
supposed inflammatory comments. Obviously, that set the precedent that the
majority party could punish bad actors from the minority party for the things they
say. Omar fits that bill perfectly given her history of antisemitism.
Unfortunately, while McCarthy is trying to whip support to send the Minnesota
congresswoman to a lesser committee, the Republican cavalry has already arrived
to once again save Democrats from the consequences of their own actions.
As RedState reported, Congresswoman Nancy Mace, Republican of South
Carolina, has already expressed her displeasure with removing Omar. She’s not the
only one. Other GOP members are going to bat for a woman who would just as
well see Israel destroyed and Republicans hauled off to detention camps if she had
her way.
Congressman Ken Buck, Republican of Colorado, says the GOP should not engage
in a “tit-for-tat” when it comes to committee selections, meaning they should just
sit back and take it when the Democrats are the majority and play nice with the
same folks who persecute them when Republicans gain control.

This is why Republicans always lose, and never get much accomplished when they
hold power. They are content to play by one set of rules under the Democrats and
another for themselves.
In short, the Democrat Party is populated with street fighters who sense they are at
the goal line for a game-winning, championship drive that will forever put down
their enemy. Instead of mounting the required goal-line stand, the Republican Party
is made up mostly of polite folks more suited for a lazy summer’s day at the
Country Club.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is close to finalizing an Asian trade settlement in
gold. This move will cause enormous chaos for the West and will also rock world

markets as gold is brought back into the monetary system for the first time in 50
years.
In a January 29 interview with King World News, the legendary British
commodities expert and research director for Goldmoney, Mr. Alasdair Macleod,
talked about the physical gold market and what’s happening with Russia.
Macleod stated: “The physical gold market is very, very tight. And the reason it’s
tight is because of the developments between Russia and all its partners in the
Shanghai Cooperation Organization. They are going to have a Gold Standard.
What has been discussed between the members of the Shanghai Cooperation
Organization and particularly Sergey Glazyev, who has been heading the
committee on this new currency, is they want to have something better than the
dollar.”
Macleod said things have changed dramatically on the geo-political scene since
Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
“It was only in December that President Shi of China was welcomed in Saudi
Arabia and negotiated long-term contracts for Saudi oil. Where are OPEC’s
markets going to be? Not in America and not in Europe because we’re all doing
away with fossil fuels. So you can see where this is heading.”
He said the petrodollar is dead but it will take time for that to sink in before the
nations write its obituary, adding:
“That has led to this evolution toward trade arrangements being settled, on balance,
with gold. And that’s obviously what (Russian) President Putin wants, and that is
where he’s going. Now that is destructive for Western fiat currencies because what
we are likely to see is this demand for gold not only by the nations but by banks is
cleaning out the physical gold market.”
He said a large portion of the gold supply into London was coming from Russia,
roughly 300 tons a year, and that has now been cut off.
“And now we have an agreement to supply tanks into Ukraine in huge numbers,
which will shift the war to a new dimension. And governments and central banks
are now selling dollars to buy gold, and getting into currencies that are attached to
gold and attached to commodities. I think what we’re seeing is the end of the fiat
currencies regime and the end of that is being speeded up by the war in Ukraine.”

This is yet another prominent economic analyst who believes the war is going to
undermine the dollar and finish it off.

A 21-year-old college student from Monmouth, Maine, died suddenly on January
18.
To the surprise of those closest to him, it was revealed that Dustin Allard’s death
was caused by a brain tumor, according to the Morning Sentinel.
Allard was training to become an Oakland, Maine, police officer around the time
of his passing.

His parents, Tammy and Gary Allard, expressed their shock at their son’s tragic
death.
“He was never sick before the day he died and had never been diagnosed with
anything,” they said. “It was completely unexpected and fast.”

On Saturday, a soccer player suddenly collapsed after suffering from a cardiac
arrest during the a tournament in Norway, local media  Valdres  and NRK reported.
The player, who has yet to be identified, collapsed suddenly two minutes into the
game.

CPR was performed and they used a defibrillator to revive the player, and two
minutes later, he was breathing again.
He was immediately sent by air ambulance to the hospital.
He must have responded well, tournament manager Vidar Hilmen told Valdres
newspaper.

It didn’t seem like we would be able to save his life, so it was a tough blow,
Hilmen added.
According to reports, the player who collapsed suddenly was a senior player for
the team Vest-Torpa.
In light of recent events, the tournament was postponed for the rest of this
weekend.

A Queensland, Australia, mother of four died suddenly and unexpectedly while
getting her children ready for school.
Lauren Watts, 40, died suddenly on January 24 while getting one of her four
children ready for their first day of school, reports 9 News of Australia.

Her husband Drew Duncan wrote an emotional tribute to his wife, stating:
“You were the heart of our family and kept it beating with your love.
Unfortunately, I think you must have used up all of your own beats on everyone

He said Watts was an amazing mom to their four children.
The family hasn't confirmed what the 40-year-old's sudden cause of death was,
only that it was sudden.

yesterday.
During Trump’s speech, he said the nation needs a president who will stand up to
the RINOs, at which point Lindsey Graham, who was beside the president, leaned
forward and laughed as he applauded the comment. Yes, globalist and China-

The current police chief in Memphis in charge of the five officers who beat to
death motorist Tyre Nichols was fired from a previous job after a botched
investigation, the New York Post reports.
Cerelyn “CJ” Davis became the first female police chief in Memphis’ history in
2021 and is currently in the international spotlight after five cops brutally beat Tyre
Nichols for no apparent reason other than the fact that he was driving erratically.
Davis was fired from the Atlanta Police Department in 2008 for her alleged
involvement in a sex crimes investigation into the husband of an Atlanta police
sergeant, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Two detectives accused Davis of telling them not to investigate Terrill Marion
Crane, who was married to sergeant Tonya Crane, after the police department
obtained photos of him with underage girls.
A federal grand jury later indicted Terrill Crane on child pornography. He pleaded
guilty to one count of child pornography in 2009, the newspaper reported.
The indictment was issued after Atlanta police took no action in the case and a
subsequent investigation by the city pointed to Davis as the reason. Davis was
demoted from major to lieutenant before being fired from the force that she had
joined in 2008.
The Western District of Tennessee has long been seen as having the most corrupt
police officers in the state.
Of the 94 federal judicial districts in Tennessee, prosecutors said as far back as
2012 that the Western District was number one in the nation for busting corrupt
police officers.

Action News 5's unofficial count turned up 10 Memphis police officers and one
Shelby County Sheriff's deputy convicted on federal charges over a six-year period
leading up to 2012.

Meanwhile, the Memphis Police Department’s SCORPION unit is taking most of
the heat for the beating death of Tyre Nichols.
In early 2022, as violent crime rose in Memphis, Mayor Jim Strickland set out his
ideas for returning safety to the city.
At the top of his plan, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times, was to
increase funding to the Memphis Police Department, give raises and bonuses to
officers, and continue the usage of the city’s newly formed “SCORPION” unit, a
specialized group of four roving 10-person teams that use data to target high-crime
neighborhoods in the Tennessee city with the goal of addressing homicides and
other violent crime.
In just a few months, Strickland said the unit had made 566 arrests and seized more
than 250 weapons, according to the Times’ report.
But the quick-strike unit that received his plaudits almost exactly one year ago is
now under review by the police chief after five of the 40 officers belonging to
SCORPION were charged with murder in the beating death of Tyre Nichols. The
SCORPION unit — which stands for Street Crimes Operation to Restore Peace in
Our Neighborhoods — has reportedly been inactive since the violent incident.
The alleged killing by SCORPION officers — and the release of the video last
Friday — has reinvigorated critiques of specialized anti-crime teams across the
country and could result in the disbanding of SCORPION, the Times reports.
“From Baltimore to Chicago and D.C., units like the SCORPION unmarked cars
— regardless of what the units are named — cause terror in minority
communities,” said the attorneys for Nichols’ family, Benjamin Crump and
Antonio Romanucci, in a letter to the Memphis Police Department calling for the
unit to be disbanded.
Romanucci’s comments, though perhaps somewhat well-founded, ignore the fact
these police units that use A.I. to try to stop crimes before they happen often
terrorize people of all ethnic backgrounds. Our outrage against police brutality
should have nothing to do with skin color.

Time now for our Worldview Report commentary.
All it would take is a final humiliating defeat of Vladimir Putin’s invasion force in
Ukraine to trigger a nuclear Armageddon that kills millions, a top military expert
has chillingly warned in an interview with the Daily Mail. 
Ex-British diplomat Tim Wilsey outlined how the Russian-Ukraine war could
descend into global carnage if Putin’s military should collapse or mutiny in the
face of unrelenting resistance from Kiev's Western-armed troops, triggering an
apocalyptic scenario. 
The retired foreign office director's comments came after a threat from one of
Putin's closest allies, former President Dmitry Medvedev, who warned if Russia
was beaten in Ukraine it would spark a nuclear war with the West. 
Medvedev said in a Telegram post:
“It doesn't occur to any of the wretches to draw the following elementary
conclusion: That the loss of a nuclear power in a conventional war could provoke a
nuclear war. Nuclear powers have not lost major conflicts on which their fate
depends. And this should be obvious to anyone.”
In other words, if you are the U.S. and NATO, to win this war is to lose it.
That’s an undeniable fact that no Western politician, military leader, journalist or
analyst, no matter how hawkish, can deny.
Russia is a proud nation with a history stretching back more than 500 years that
just happens to possess the world’s largest cache of nuclear-tipped ICBMs. What
does NATO think Russia purchased those weapons for if not the exact scenario
that is starting to look plausible for the first time in the nuclear age? Russia gets
decimated on the battlefield and rather than accept a total, unconditional defeat on
the West’s terms, Putin decides to unleash the entire nuclear arsenal at his disposal
on Western cities. That leaves dozens of cities in smoldering ruins and nuclear
fallout for miles upon miles. Period. Full stop. What is so hard to understand about
that among the neoconservatives and neoliberals so gung-ho for war with Russia?
In military terms, they have a name for this. It’s called a war with no exit strategy.
