Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.

Last month’s mass murder of six people at a church-run Christian school constitutes 2023’s deadliest act of violence against churches, which have increased by a factor of three this year compared to last year, according to a new study reported on by the Daily Signal. The number of anti-church attacks in 2022 had already tripled over four years, a previous report found.

In all, assailants attacked churches 69 times in the first three months of 2023, compared with 24 such acts during the same period last year, a 288% increase. The rising tempo of anti-Christian assaults — which includes arsons, bomb threats, vandalism, and sacrilege — has affected places of worship in 29 states. The motives behind such desecration run the gamut from pro-abortion activism or controversies over transgender ideology to apparently senseless acts of destruction.

“American churches are increasingly bearing the brunt of anger and aggression, whether that’s from political or other motivations,” the report’s author — Arielle Del Turco, assistant director of the Center for Religious Liberty at Family Research Council — told The Washington Stand. “This contributes to an environment of hostility toward Christianity.”

The acts of anti-church aggression documented between January and March of this year include:

• 53 incidents of vandalism;
• 10 suspicious fires;
• Three gun-related incidents; and
• Three bomb threats — including a pipe bomb recovered outside Philadelphia’s 127-year-old St. Dominic Catholic Church.

The report notes that, “If this rate continues, 2023 will have the highest number of incidents in the six years since they started being tracked. The number of church attacks in 2023 already exceeds the entirety of 2018, in which we identified only 50 incidents, or 2020, in which we identified 54.”

This steep increase is a cause for concern,” says the update.

The IRS hopes to increase tax audits by tenfold under the Biden administration’s plan for the agency, according to a senior administration official and the IRS’s new strategic operating plan.

They say these audits will be focused on the “wealthiest Americans,” 

According to MSN.com, Biden has pledged not to increase audit rates on Americans making $400,000 or less.

But anyone who knows anything about the IRS knows that’s a lie. The only way to increase the tax haul going into the massive federal government’s coffers is to target the middle class. There simply are not enough super wealthy taxpayers and those who do exist can afford to hire an army of the best tax accountants and lawyers.

IRS and Treasury Department officials said Thursday they will use $80 billion in new funding for the tax service to claw back unpaid balances from high-income earners and complex businesses — restoring audits on those taxpayers to higher rates from more than a decade ago — and boost customer service resources for middle- and low-income tax filers.

The agency plans to digitize its tax-processing pipeline and begin developing government-backed online tax-filing software with money from the Inflation Reduction Act, officials announced in a 149-page report.

The first Cold War between the U.S. and Soviet Union lasted more than 40 years before dissolving into mostly peaceful relations.

The second Cold War between the U.S. and Russia lasted only briefly, maybe a few months or a year, before morphing into a hybrid form of hot war, said a Russian deputy foreign minister.

The new Cold War is already over, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said in an interview with the Russian news agency Tass, accusing the United States of “playing with fire” by pushing the world towards nuclear war that he insists Russians wish to avoid.

“I think we have already passed this period (of the Cold War). Now we are in the phase of a hot conflict with the United States. We are witnessing the direct involvement of that country in a hybrid war with Russia on various fronts,” Ryabkov said in response to a question from Tass.

He described this hybrid war being used by the U.S. as completely unprecedented, involving tactics not even used during the 40-plus year Cold War.

His comments came just hours after Russia announced it had deployed nuclear-capable missiles to the borders of NATO in Belarus, and refitted Belarussian jets with the equipment to carry and drop nuclear bombs. 

Moscow alleges the United States was to blame for this, saying Russia was doing no more than what America has already done in stationing nuclear weapons in the territory of its European allies.

Ryabkov stated: “…there can be no winners in a nuclear war and it must not be unleashed.”

He added that:

“The way our American opponents are recklessly, provocatively, and in many respects absolutely carelessly, moving up the escalation ladder, the way they are blinded by their absolutely absurd certainty about their ability to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, makes one doubt their mental faculties and their common sense.”

The U.S. is “playing with fire” and risking making “fatal mistakes,” Ryabkov said, stating that Russia “will be ready to take all measures and to use all means at our disposal” if there are attempts to encroach on their sovereignty.

Ryabkov closed with this warning:

“They ought to be aware what any encroachment on our sovereignty, our territorial integrity and our statehood [will entail]. If this trend persists, we will be ready to take all measures and to use all means at our disposal in order to defend ourselves and ensure that our sovereignty be guaranteed. Underestimation of this resolve of ours is perhaps the worst thing that can happen or, conversely, not happen in the minds of our adversaries. We caution them against making fatal mistakes.”

In March 2023, Russian oil companies increased their export of oil products by sea by 31.2% over March of last year, to 3.13 million barrels per day, and this is a record level, reports the Russian news outlet Vedomosti. 

“As a result, the March indicator became a historical record: The previous maximum of exports was recorded in February 2022 and amounted to 3.1 million barrels per day,” the outlet posted.

Export growth is taking place against the backdrop of sanctions against Russian oil products. The EU has imposed an embargo on the sea supply of petroleum products from Russia, and the ceiling on their prices has also entered into force. But many European nations are still buying Russian oil through third-party nations after it gets mixed with the oil of other countries, the outlet reported.

J.D. Rucker has a new article up at the Liberty Daily taking a deep dive on the FBI’s involvement in entrapping Americans into committing crimes.

He writes that roughly half of America is aware that the FBI and Capitol Police had undercover officers and informants planted in the Proud Boys on January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol. But what many didn’t realize is the massive scope and scale of the entrapment operation.

As Julie Kelly from American Greatness noted on Twitter:

NEW bombshell filing in Proud Boys trial. Defense writes that DOJ just recently disclosed involvement of undercover officers/informants from other agencies aside from FBI–DC Metro police and DHS. “At least 40 undercover informants…”

With an operation that massive, one might expect they were trying to nab thousands of people. But as Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor pointed out, very few Proud Boys are being prosecuted.

Greene tweeted, “At least 40 undercover FBI informants” participated in J6 with Proud Boys but only 5 Proud Boys are being prosecuted? Is that right @julie_kelly2? The FBI is not supposed to encourage or help people break the law, they should stop people from breaking the law. Congress must defund the corruption from the FBI. The weaponization of government can be stopped through the budget and appropriations.”

As Rucker points out, this isn’t the first time the FBI has been accused of manufacturing the crimes they’re supposed to be stopping. Despite convictions in the Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping case, it was clear to many that the plot would likely never have materialized if the FBI hadn’t gotten involved in the first place.

Rucker asks, “Is the Department of Justice encouraging crimes and plots to be committed by patriots in an effort to entrap them? Are they manufacturing the ‘domestic terrorism’ narrative to take out political opposition? Given all that we now know, is the corrupt FBI technically committing acts of domestic terrorism themselves? If they are, then defunding them should just be the beginning.”

An article by Jonathan Van Maren at LifeSite News reports female athletes in Australia are being repeatedly injured due to biological males being permitted on their teams. Some reports indicate that at least one player was hospitalized for her injuries. This has brought about a backlash from angry parents as well as players who are pointing out that this is not only unfair, but dangerous. The response of Australia’s soccer organization is to offer re-education training in order to help the victims understand the “lived experience” of players identifying as transgender.

The Daily Mail reports: 

“Angry parents fed up with a trans woman’s domination of a female soccer league will be offered training to help them better understand trans issues. Football Australia announced its ‘High Performance Inclusion Policy’ after Daily Mail Australia revealed parents were campaigning for the New South Wales competition to ban transgender women from female soccer teams. A trans woman, who Daily Mail Australia has chosen not to identify, has led Football NSW’s League One Women’s 1st Grade goal kickers table, with seven goals.”

Football Australia’s press release announced that re-education will be a priority in order to make soccer “the most multicultural, diverse, and inclusive sport in Australia” and to provide training that will “provide the Australian Football community with a greater understanding of the lived experience of LGBTQI+ communities and their participation in sport.” 

Football Australia also recommitted to permitting players — including biological –males “to participate in the competition which best represents their gender identity.” According to the Mail, at least five men are currently playing on female sports teams in the league across New South Wales. 

Van Maren reports that thousands of angry emails have been sent in protest, but thus far Football Australia appears determined to prioritize the delusions of men over the safety of women, and to offer those who disagree the same indoctrination to which they have succumbed.

Any good police investigator will tell you that violent criminals, especially murderers, often return to the scene of their crimes.

Seymour Hersh, whose honors include the 1970 Pulitzer Prize for international reporting, has unleashed some bombshells with his documentation that it was President Joe Biden who gave orders to blow up the Nord Stream pipelines.

Now he’s released another bombshell.

The U.S., he says, returned to the scene of the Nord Stream pipeline to fetch an unexploded bomb. The details came out during an interview he had with German reporter Marc Friedrich.

He explained that although all four pipelines were mined with explosives, only three bombs went off. What happened afterwards is critical.

Wow. So Hersh went on to reject outright the claims fed to the New York Times and also a German weekly that “pro-Ukrainians” in a yacht blew up the Russian gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea. He called this a “complete hoax.”

WND previously reported that Hersh said the pipeline actions make him think there’s something “very scary and very dumb” going on in Joe Biden’s White House.

The U.S. and Russia have effectively cut off all communications. The two superpowers are not even talking about sitting down to talk about the war in Ukraine.

And now, in an ominous sign, it appears that the lines of communication are drying up with Russia’s major ally, China.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is looking to reschedule his trip to China, which he canceled over the Chinese balloon that wound up traversing the continental U.S., but Beijing is rebuffing the effort, according to an April 5 report by Politico.

The Politico report said China has effectively frozen high-level contacts with U.S. officials. An unnamed U.S. official said the Biden administration is also trying to schedule a call between President Biden and President Xi Jinping and send other high-level officials to China but isn’t having any luck.

This is how nations act toward each other before they go to war.

An exorcist from the Diocese of Monterey, Mexico, is warning Catholics that a deceptively marketed board game promising to allow the players to “communicate directly with Jesus Christ” and to “answer all of life’s most important questions” is really just another Ouija board putting them in direct communication with a demon.

Speaking to Catholics via EWTN News Nightly on March 28, Ernesto Maria Caro said The Holy Spirit board game, available on Amazon, is actually a Ouija board intended to deceive Christians. 

The exorcist warned, “The devil is always looking for different ways that he can trap all the victims that he can take for him, and this is one.”

Time now for our Worldview Report commentary.

The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected West Virginia's emergency request to ban a 12-year-old transgender individual from competing in their middle school's girl's track team while the state's litigation makes its way through lower courts.

The case marks the first time the Supreme Court has reviewed the issue of biological men who routinely dominate biological women in various sports, and apparently, only two of the so-called conservative justices took the conservative position in this case.

The vote was 7-2 to strike down the state’s request to ban biological males pretending to be girls to compete in girls’ athletic competitions. Only Justices Thomas and Alito voted to uphold the ban.

The order relates to a single student, Becky Pepper-Jackson, who runs on the cross-country and track teams at a middle school in Bridgeport, West Virginia.

In February, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, in Richmond, Va., blocked a lower-court order allowing Becky to be removed from the team under West Virginia’s Save Women’s Sports Act while litigation over the law proceeds. 

Almost 20 states have passed laws restricting biological males from participating in female athletic events, the Wall Street Journal reports.

According to court records, by fourth grade, Becky had “socially transitioned to living and presenting as a girl,” and does so “with the full support of her family” while receiving puberty blockers and hormone therapy in an effort to “develop physiological characteristics consistent with hormonal puberty typical of girls.”

In April 2021, the West Virginia legislature passed the Save Women’s Sports Act, restricting transgender individuals from participating in public school girls' teams, citing concerns that transgenders could dominate female competition categories.

The lawsuit against the act was filed by Becky's mother, Heather Jackson, who argued that barring her biological male child from the girls' team violated the 14th Amendment's equal-protection clause and the federal law discriminating against sex in education, known as Title IX.

While initially siding with the family, a judge in Charleston, WV, Joseph Goodwin, eventually issued an order reluctantly upholding the state law.

“Not one child has been or is likely to be harmed by [Becky’s] continued participation,” he wrote. “Moreover, there is a public interest in celebrating not only the unique differences of those who fit into society’s binary world but also those who fall outside that box.”

Those “conservative” justices appointed to the Supreme Court by President Trump are looking more moderate by the day. From one case to the next, they are totally unpredictable. And, unlike justices Thomas and Alito, they seem to have no organized judicial philosophy on which they base their decisions. Gorsuch seems to be the best of the three, but even he cannot be consistently counted on to make the right call.

Pray for these justices, that they would receive divine wisdom from above. Because it appears they are going to need it more than ever.
