Summit Ministries Has Not Been Shut Down For the Summer. The True Story From Summit Ministries.
On Friday, May 22nd, Summit Ministries was informed by the El Paso County Health Department that one of its students tested positive for the H1N1 ('Swine") flu. To avoid contaminating the whole student body of 156 other students the decision was made by the Health authorities to close down the first session at its mid-point and send the students home. The Summit staff are being treated for the flu virus and will be allowed to stay and attend to the rest of the sessions of the summer. Since many of the students in the first session were home-schoolers many will be able to complete their two-week study during the 7th session in August. At this point all the parents of the students contacted were pleased that the above action was performed and Summit Ministries is looking forward to another great summer with great students, staff, faculty and supporters. It is important to note that the Summit has NOT been told to close down for the rest of the summer sessions! David A. Noebel, President, Summit Ministries
