WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?Chris responds to a recent series of comments about how to define the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While most believers know that the word "Gospel" means "good news," exactly how is it defined according to the Scriptures? Can a person say that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus isLord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9) -- and call that the Gospel? According to one listener, the answer is no. Part of the contention has come about due to an article written by a self-described "Hyper-Calvinist" who says that those who teach that a person must be "born again" are "false gospel preachers" and "antichrists."
