This edition of Crosstalk began with Jim reminding listeners in Florida, and particularly in Wisconsin, about today’s election.  In Wisconsin the key race is between Republican Brad Schimel and Democrat Susan Crawford.  Jim described this election (which has had over 100 million dollars poured into it) as really being about life vs. abortion, male and female vs. gender fluidity, religious liberty vs. religious bondage and the rule of law vs. judicial activism.  As Jim explained, even congressional boundaries are at stake as well.  Audio from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries highlights this segment of the program.

The remainder of the program addressed some of the violence going on in American society today in order to make you “understanding of the times” (1 Chronicles 12:32).  Matthew 24:37 tells us what life was like in the days of Noah and that this environment would repeat itself at the time of the coming of the Son of Man.  Is it possible his coming is not far off?  You decide as Jim gives you a brief glimpse of the violence through numerous stories like the ones below:

  • Violence in the womb–Since the Supreme Court’s abortion decision in 1973, there’s been just over 66.6 million babies killed in the U.S. via abortion.
  • An American teenage girl was taken into custody by Paris police after her newborn baby was thrown from the window of a hotel on the outskirts of the city.  The baby died of severe injuries.
  • A Kentucky museum says a Planned Parenthood staffer inadvertently provided sexually explicit coloring books to kids as young as 8 years old at an event  earlier this month.
  • Lawmakers in Maryland advanced a bill (HB-380—the “Condoms for Kiddies” bill) that would allow public schools to add birth control vending machines.  The bill passed in the House and now moves on to the Senate.
  • At a public high school in Fairfax County, Virginia, a Women’s History Month display utilizing each letter of the alphabet began with, “A-is for abortion.”
  • A Wisconsin teenager accused of stabbing his mother to death said his actions were inspired by the Menendez brothers who were convicted of the 1989 murders of their parents.
  • 3 teenage girls have been sentenced, accused of trying to kill their mother after she turned off the wifi in their house.

Jim looked at more stories and callers were given a chance to respond.
