NAZIS & THE GREEN NEW DEAL
Chris discusses a new speech given by Mayor Bill De Blasio of New York, who has now banned “glass and steel” according to law in New York City. The mayor has called this NYC’s own Green New Deal. De Blasio wants to make the proposal of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez into a reality, starting with Manhattan and is calling for radical changes that he calls only the beginning. But history shows that the origins of radical environmental politics can be traced back to Hitler and the Nazis, the roots for which took place years before the second world war. In his book, “Green Tyranny,” author Rupert Darwall writes that “Nazi ideology ends up looking not dissimilar to today’s environmental movement.” Whoever controls the environment could essentially control the entire planet. Could the Green New Deal be the ultimate attempt at a totalitarian power-grab?
