God’s Work Among the Jews, Part 2: Do you sometimes wonder if we could be misunderstanding scripture? For example, who is it that Paul’s letter to the Ephesians says is ‘chosen by God?’ Could it be us Gentile Christians? Or is it someone else? Last time we began looking at the first chapter of Ephesians. And we gained some fresh insights hinging on “Verbal Plenary Inspiration” – the idea that God gave us actual “words,” not just ideas. But in digging into verses one through twelve, it starts to become evident that the Apostle Paul is not speaking to you and me as believers; he is addressing the Jewish people. So, let’s jump back into Ephesians chapter one, the first 12 verses, and continue Dr. White’s sermon message titled, “God’s Work Among the Jews – Part 1,”as he points out the difference between being the ‘chosen’ and being the ‘called.’
