With crazy stories inundating us every day, how did we get to this point?  In this week's boralogue, John looks at history from the protests of the 1960s through the blossoming of the internet age to where we are now with late-term abortion laws and media people not living up to journalistic standards. There are those who are tired of being choked by political correctness and they are fighting back.

If we're not careful, the socialistic healthcare system in Canada could make its way south.  Author and retired businessman William Gairdner (www.williamgairdner.ca) joins us from the Great White North to discuss the costs and rules of free healthcare for all and how some, usually the well-connected, get around those rules.

The Pope just signed an agreement with Sheik Ahmad el-Tayeb, the grand imam of al-Azhar.  Author and Middle East expert Raymond Ibrahim (www.raymondibrahim.com) contrasts the watered-down language of the agreement with the Sheik's speeches about it in Arabic.  He also dissects the media and liberal adoration of Islam and the Pope.

Is the national emergency declaration on the border wall a good idea? It depends on who you ask.  Dr. Merrill Matthews (www.ipi.org), Resident Scholar with the Institute for Policy Innovation, examines partisan hypocrisy over the execution of emergency declarations and what that may mean for the future.

John’s quote of the week:

"The education system is broken; it's being run by the people who broke it.  But they actively, aggressively oppose any kind of reform which would fix it.  Yet these same politicians send their kids to private schools.  They don't want to put themselves in the very system they're smashing down on everyone else."
