John Loeffler: November 6, 2017

When you realize that politics is a game, it becomes easier to spot what's really going on.  In this week's boralogue, John looks at the truth behind tax reform, the Manafort indictment, and the terrorist attack in Lower Manhattan. It's spin that muddies the waters and makes it difficult to get to and discuss the facts.  The most important thing is knowing the truth.

A television network recently aired a documentary on the Vietnam War.  Were all the facts portrayed accurately?   Francis Sempa (www.wilkes.edu), Federal Prosecutor and Economics Professor at Wilkes University, notes that the evils of Communism were downplayed in the documentary and the attitudes of returning troops were misconstrued.  Liberal education is teaching a different history.

Will North Korea (or the sun) fry our electrical grid through electromagnetic pulse?  Dr. Peter Vincent Pry (www.emptaskforcenhs.com), Chief of Staff of the Congressional EMP Commission, analyzes the different EMP threats and shows that, while other countries are hardening their infrastructure against an attack, our federal government is dragging its heels.

John’s quote of the week:

"There is the ideal, there is the reality, and then there is the spin.  The ideal is what should be happening, the reality is what is happening, and then the spin is designed to cover up what is really happening."
