John Whitcomb: July 17, 2017

Today on "Encounter God’s Truth," Bible teacher Dr. John Whitcomb speaks about, “God’s Hatred for Iniquity.” It’s the fifth installment in Part 5 of this teaching series, “Zechariah: The LORD Remembers.”

Along with host Wayne Shepherd, Dr. Whitcomb affirms that God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end. That is why we are tackling another difficult section of Scripture given by this sixth-century B.C. prophet—Zechariah—who originally spoke to those who had come back to Judah following 70 years of captivity in Babylon. His message here is difficult both in terms of the details it describes and also because of the vivid way in which the prophet exposes the horrors of the nation’s sin. But as our speaker tells us, it has “universal significance,” and so we must seek to understand it. Dr. Whitcomb is going to help us with that—explaining the passage in terms of its parallels to Revelation chapters 17 and 18, and also showing how it contains great hope for the future. We want to thank Middletown Bible Church in Middletown, Conn., for allowing us to bring this audio to you. And thank you for listening!
