Cecil Rhodes, John Ruskin, And Their Worldview Goal of a Euro-Centric World Government (Part Two)

If you look at a map of the nations included in the ancient Roman Empire and overlay it with a map of the modern-day European Union, you will be astounded by the comparison. The European Union consists of many of the nations that made up the Roman Empire. And Rome itself is a key player because of the Vatican. Deep-seated religious beliefs seem to be backing many aspects of a revived Roman Empire. 

Cecil Rhodes grasped the connection with the Roman Catholic Church, and this is how he conceived his answer for world peace:

[quote] The key of my idea discussed with you is a society copied from the Jesuits as to organization, an idea which will ultimately lead to the cessation of all wars, and one language throughout the world. The only thing feasible to carry this idea out is a secret one, gradually absorbing the wealth of the world to be devoted to such an object. Fancy the charm to young America to share in a scheme to take the government of the whole world. (emphasis mine) [end quote] 

One language? A headquarters building that looks like the Tower of Babel? A coincidence? I doubt it. In The Anglo-American Establishment, Carroll Quigley recognized Cecil Rhodes’ intentions and quoted Rhodes’ vision:

[quote] The extension of British rule throughout the world, the perfecting of a system of immigration from the United Kingdom and of colonization by British subjects of all lands wherein the means of livelihood are attainable by energy, labor and enterprise...the ultimate recovery of the United States of America as an integral part of a British Empire. The consolidation of the whole empire, the inauguration of a system of colonial representation in the Imperial Parliament which may tend to weld together the disjointed members of the empire, and finally the foundation of so great a power as to hereafter render wars impossible and promote the best interest of humanity. [end quote] 

John Ruskin—influencer of Cecil Rhodes and therefore, ultimately of Carroll Quigley—laid the groundwork for this thinking in his 1867 book Time and Trade in which he explained: 

[quote] The first duty of a state is to see that every child born therein shall be well housed, clothed, fed, and educated. But in order to effect this, the government must have an authority over the people of which we now do not so much as dream. [end quote] 

Here John Ruskin is calling for statism, an omnipotent state that will “magnanimously” provide for every child—housing, clothes, food, and education. This dream is well on its way to being realized here in America and elsewhere. 

John Ruskin, too, was heavily involved in the occult. His worldview was founded on Freemasonry, New Age, and occultism. The May 14, 2000, New York Times ran an article by Valentine Cunningham citing a book by Tim Hilton suggesting that Ruskin’s long-term involvement in the occult had taken its toll: “In all the writings of this second part of his life, in his dreams he was tormented—he was tormented by black nightmares in his times of truly demented ravings.”

John Ruskin also chose a startling symbol for his tombstone: a swastika. Even though he died in 1900—decades before Hitler made the swastika with a symbol of the Nazi Party—Ruskin valued it enough to memorialize it on his own grave marker. The swastika, of course, has been around for a very long time; it has even been used in America for various purposes. In the early 1900s, for instance, a Native American Indian tribe’s basketball team used it as a logo on their basketball uniforms. Some U.S. military buildings designed with the influence of Native Americans have a swastika on them. The symbol has long been associated with New Age and the occult, both influential with Native Americans.

Since the swastika looks similar to a Hindu symbol, I once asked a Hindu friend of mine if my research was correct—that Hinduism and Nazism have similar-looking symbols. She answered: 

[quote] Oh, yes, indeed. In fact, when my husband and I got married our friends decorated our car. . . . They put the symbol that you’re talking about that looks very much like a swastika, but it’s not. It’s a Hindu symbol. We were going down the interstate, just married, with all of these symbols on our car, and I told my new husband, “You know what? We need to pull over and wipe this symbol off, because people are going to think it’s a swastika.” [end quote] 

Many historians believe Hitler adopted the swastika because his worldview included Eastern Mysticism, Hinduism, and the New Age. 

So, we have John Ruskin, who was involved in the occult, who had a swastika placed on his tomb, and who wanted a world government based in Great Britain. He influenced Cecil Rhodes. Cecil Rhodes made a great deal of money, left his money to train and disciple young men in this world government idea, and this legacy includes Rhodes Scholarship recipients such as Bill Clinton.

The Will that Makes a Way

Carroll Quigley presented just exactly how serious Rhodes was about making sure his legacy did precisely what he wanted. Quigley explains the particulars of Rhodes’ last will and testament in his book, The Anglo-American Establishment,

[quote] To achieve this purpose, Rhodes, in this first will, written while he was still an undergraduate of Oxford at the age of twenty-four, left all his wealth to the Secretary of State for the Colonies and to the Attorney General of Griqualand West (Sidney Shippard), to be used to create a secret society patterned on the Jesuits. The reference to the Jesuits as the model for his secret society is found in a “Confession of Faith” which Rhodes had written two years earlier (in 1875) and which he enclosed in his will. Thirteen years later, in a letter to the trustee of his third will, Rhodes told how to form the secret society, saying, “In considering questions suggested take Constitution of the Jesuits if obtainable and insert ‘English Empire’ for ‘Roman Catholic Religion’.” [end quote] 

Fascinating. In his will, Cecil Rhodes set up his estate to say, “What I want you to do with my incredible wealth is to train young men and women—particularly in areas of politics, economics, religion, and journalism—to design a world government based in Great Britain. And I want you to use the Constitution of the Jesuits as a model for how the empire will work.” 

Carrol Quigley documents that Rhodes wanted his secret society to be “a church for the extension of the British Empire.” For these people, their belief system was a religion. Rhodes wanted his secret society to become a church for the extension of the British Empire. And I believe this false church—this harlot church as described in Revelation 17:1—will be the mode for bringing about the Reich. In that regard, Quigley also explains how effective Rhodes’ plan has been:

[quote] The Rhodes Scholarships, established by the terms of Cecil Rhodes’ seventh will are known to everyone. What is not so widely known is that Rhodes in five previous wills left his fortune to form a secret society, which was to devote itself to the preservation and expansion of the British Empire. And what does not seem to be known to anyone is that this secret society... continues to exist to this day. To be sure, it is not a childish thing like the Ku Klux Klan, and it does not have any secret robes, secret handclasps, or secret passwords. It does not need any of these, since its members know each other intimately. It probably has no oaths of secrecy nor any formal procedure of initiation. It does, however, exist and holds secret meetings. This Group is, as I shall show, one of the most important historical facts of the twentieth century. [end quote] 

In The Anglo-American Establishment Quigley also connects another dot. Lionel Curtis, a British author, thinker, and governmental secretary to early 1900s globalist Lord Milner, greatly advanced the cause of a one-world system. According to Quigley:

[quote] Lionel Curtis is one of the most important members of the Milner Group or, as a member of the Group expressed it to me, he is the fons et origo. It may sound extravagant as a statement, but a powerful defense could be made of the claim that what Curtis thinks should be done to the British Empire is what happens a generation later. I shall give here only two recent examples of this. In 1911 Curtis decided that the name of His Majesty’s Dominions must be changed from “British Empire” to “Commonwealth of Nations.” This was done officially in 1948. Again, about 1911 Curtis decided that India must be given complete self-government as rapidly as conditions permitted. This was carried out in 1947. As we shall see, these are not merely coincidental events, for Curtis, working behind the scenes, has been one of the chief architects of the present Commonwealth. [end quote] 

Even though many folks on the Right go crazy into conspiratorial, secret handshakes, secret initiations, and such, Quigley, lays it out, almost as if to say, “Look, they don’t need any of that secret stuff. All the players know each other. They’re very organized, and they are united in their goal of world government.” It will happen.

Labor Parties and Reichs

Although it is not obvious to everyone, the Fabians now have their own political party. The Labor Party of Great Britain grew out of the Fabian movement, and one of the more prominent of recent prime ministers represented the socialism of the Fabians to a “T.” Tony Blair moved socialism in England several giant steps forward, and now he continues the agenda he began in office by founding and leading the Tony Blair Faith Foundation. The goal of his organization is to bring the religions of the world together as one. Are you starting to see a pattern here?

The notion of a one-world religion and the world “management” system it portends is all coming together very, very quickly. It sets the stage for a new empire or Reich.

We’re all familiar with Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich, but I believe there will be a Fourth Reich soon to follow. This world empire will be the kingdom ruled by the Antichrist. Here’s how Alice Bailey saw the process unfolding:

[quote] The hierarchy is struggling hard with the so-called “forces of evil,” and the new group of world servers is the instrument.... These forces of evil... the entrenched ancient ideals... which must now disappear if the New Age is to be ushered in as desired.

The old established rhythms, inherent in the old forms of religion, of politics and of the social order, must give place to newer ideals, to the synthetic understanding, and to the new order.

The laws and modes of procedure which are characteristic of the New Age must supersede the old, and these will, in time, institute the new social order and the more inclusive regime. 

…through the medium of certain great and outstanding personalities, who are particularly sensitive to the will to power and the will to change, who have altered the character of their national life and emphasized increasingly the wider human values.

The men who inspired the initiating French revolution; the great conqueror, Napoleon; Bismarck, the creator of a nation; Mussolini, the regenerator of his people; Hitler, who lifted a distressed people upon his shoulders; Lenin, the idealist, Stalin and Franco are all expressions of the Shamballa force and of certain little understood energies. [end quote] 

Alice Bailey is saying that people like Hitler and Mussolini and others were under the power of the Shamballa force—a demonic power. The hierarchy she mentions is nothing more than the demonic realm, influencing people to do away with “the old”—namely, biblical Christianity. 

Alice Bailey makes the very point I’ve been emphasizing—that the demonic realm is the force putting one-world desires into the hearts and minds of promoters of the idea. And why will God allow Satan to do this? I believe God will allow the Antichrist to do what he will do in order to bring a remnant out of Israel. Through the tribulation the Jewish people will see the mighty hand of God and grasp their need for a Savior—the Messiah, not the fake, antichrist Messiah. There will be a great tribe of 144,000 Jewish evangelists who go all over the world, preaching the Gospel. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, they will incite a great revival. At that point, so many people will become believers that, according to Revelation, the number is so great no one can number them.

This work of God has been predestined or preordained. That means Christians don’t have to look at what’s happening in the world and have a spirit of fear or weakness. We can be of sound mind, knowing that what is happening has been foretold by God.
