THE KINGSHIP OF CHRIST
Chris discusses recent comments from listeners about the present day authority of Jesus Christ. Contention arose among listeners over the use of the phrase, “Christ not man is King,” the words said to be inscribed on the tomb of Oliver Cromwell, the Lord Protector of England. Within this same line of thinking, the early American colonists were said to declare: “No king but King Jesus!” Yet one of our listeners argued that Jesus is not currently King of kings, and that He will achieve this status later on. Is that the case? We examine the Scriptures from both Old Testament and New, showing how the eternal, unchanging nature of our Lord Jesus Christ proclaims His authority from ancient times.
