Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency due to H5N1, more commonly known as avian influenza or bird flu.
The emergency follows an outbreak of the virus among dairy cows in Southern California farms, according to the news release on the governor’s website.
After initially being reported in Texas and Kansas in March, bird flu has been confirmed in cattle across 16 U.S. states, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported.
There have been no cases of human transmission of bird flu in California, the release stated, with all infections linked to exposure to infected cattle.
"This proclamation is a targeted action to ensure government agencies have the resources and flexibility they need to respond quickly to this outbreak," Governor Newsom said in a statement.
"Building on California’s testing and monitoring system — the largest in the nation — we are committed to further protecting public health, supporting our agriculture industry, and ensuring that Californians have access to accurate, up-to-date information," he went on.
"While the risk to the public remains low, we will continue to take all necessary steps to prevent the spread of this virus."
Also on Wednesday, the first case of severe bird flu was confirmed in a human patient in Louisiana, according to the CDC.
The health agency maintains that “the current public health risk is low," but said it is "watching the situation carefully.”

The Federal Reserve reduced interest rates by a quarter percentage point Wednesday and scaled back the number of cuts it expects to make next year.
In a split vote, the central bank voted to reduce its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to a new range of 4.25%-4.5%, initiating its third consecutive rate cut of 2024 despite signs that inflation isn’t entirely going away.
Newly appointed Cleveland Fed president Beth Hammack objected, preferring not to cut rates. Her dissent marked the second against a policy decision since the Fed started its latest rate-cutting cycle in September.
The consensus among Fed officials is for two rate cuts next year, down from four previously forecast in September.
Fed Chairman Jerome Powell told reporters at a press conference Wednesday:
“Today was a closer call but we decided it was the right call. It was the best decision to foster achievement of both of our goals,” referring to price stability and maximum employment.

Russia has blasted the West for staying quiet after Ukraine openly boasted of assassinating a top Russian general earlier in the day, identified as Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, who was killed when a scooter bomb detonated remotely upon his leaving his apartment in the early morning hours.
Russia on Tuesday criticized Ukraine's allies over what it called insufficient reactions to the assassination in Moscow of the Russian army's chemical weapons chief, an attack claimed by Kyiv.
Foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused the West in a Telegram post of "approval for war crimes by fighters of the Kyiv regime" and said "all those who welcome terrorist attacks or deliberately hush them up are accomplices".
This also brings up questions of past reports exposing a CIA program to train and assist Ukraine's special forces and intelligence in sabotage and cross-border targeting.

Last year, The Washington Post published a report on how Ukraine’s intelligence services were capable of carrying out assassinations inside Russia thanks to support they have been receiving from the CIA since 2014.

Turkey is reportedly massing troops on Syria’s northern border in preparation for a full-scale invasion.
The Wall Street Journal cites U.S. officials saying a Turkish invasion of northern Syria is “imminent” and will be directed against Syria’s Kurdish population.
The Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) announced the start of an operation against the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the northern Syrian town of Kobani on December 17.
A news correspondent for Al Mayadeen stated that “Turkey wants a security belt 30 kilometers wide on the border with Syria,” stressing that it “is close to achieving its goal.”
The Turkish military has built a concrete barrier between Kobani and the Turkish border, while Turkish warplanes can be seen flying routinely above the city.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was mercilessly heckled on Monday after a Liberal Party fundraiser at the Canadian Museum of History, as his administration teeters on the verge of collapse.
"You failed Canada," shouted conservative commentator 'Right Blend,' as Trudeau grinned like an idiot.
"You've ruined our country! You're done! Walk away, you don't have an ounce of your father's integrity..."

The epic heckle comes one day after Trudeau's trusted deputy, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, went scorched earth in a Monday resignation letter that left Trudeau in an even more precarious position.
Freeland has publicly opposed a plan by Trudeau for short-term spending on voter-pleasing measures such as tax breaks that will worsen the country's budget deficit.
In a reference to incoming U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat of tariffs against Canada, Freeland wrote in her letter:
“Our country today faces a grave challenge. That means keeping our fiscal powder dry today, so we have the reserves we may need for a coming tariff war. That means eschewing costly political gimmicks, which we can ill afford and which make Canadians doubt that we recognize the gravity of the moment.”

China has released a military propaganda video showing off its hypersonic weaponized drones as the military arms race between global superpowers kicks into high gear.
According to the Shanghai Morning Post, the Chinese Academy of Sciences released a new video this week showcasing how China continues pushing the boundaries of hypersonic technology.
The full video showcases the trials of the MD series and the drone developers behind the aircraft. The Young Scientist Task Force team from the Institute of Mechanics, were the same specialists who achieved the first horizontal landing of a hypersonic drone in 2020.
The MD-22, the latest known model in the series, was first unveiled at a 2022 air show. The aircraft boasts a maximum range of 4,971 miles and can carry payloads of up to 1,323 pounds, delivering substantial strategic capabilities.
A video of the test shows the unmanned Chinese MD series drone launched from a high-altitude balloon, reaching speeds of as much as Mach 7 before landing safely.

The news website BulgarianMilitary wrote:
“From a tactical perspective, the MD-19 could serve as a stepping stone to operational hypersonic platforms. Its current role as a technology demonstrator likely focuses on testing high-speed flight dynamics, thermal management, and recovery procedures.”
The website added, “China is making it clear it has no intention of falling behind in the race for hypersonic supremacy. The MD-19 is further proof that the country isn't just testing technologies but integrating innovations with real-world battlefield potential.”

LifeSite News reports that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he believes there are “too many abortions in the world.”
The comments reportedly came during a meeting with Republican Senators as RFK works to build support for his nomination to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.
He also reportedly made promises that the Trump administration would reinstate pro-life policies from its first term and suggested he opposes efforts to include “gender identity” in federal healthcare law and force medical professionals to provide transgender drugs and surgeries.
The quotes come from Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) who rehashed the conversation to The Daily Wire.
Mullin reported RFK Jr. as saying:
“It’s not that I don’t value life, I value life, I just look at it a little bit different in certain circumstances, what we’ve been through as a family.”
RFK Jr. has drawn interest from some conservatives for his support for medical freedom when it comes to vaccines, his criticism of Big Pharma, and his pledge to Make America Healthy Again by taking on unsafe foods that cause chronic diseases.
At the same time, he has held a variety of positions on abortion, most recently settling on what he called the “emerging consensus” that killing babies should be limited to the first 15 weeks or so. This would only protect about 7% of babies from abortion, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data.
Senator Mullin, recounting his conversation, asked RFK Jr. specifically for his position, saying he had been “all over the map on it.”
President Donald Trump has also signaled he does not see a role for the federal government in enacting legislative protections for preborn life. He also recently reiterated that he supports keeping in place President Joe Biden’s policy of allowing dangerous chemical abortion drugs to be mailed across the country with minimal oversight. Abortion drugs are responsible for about 60% of abortions today.
On the flip side, Trump reportedly wants to defund Planned Parenthood, reinstate a ban on taxpayer funding of foreign abortions, and ensure conscience protections for pro-life medical professionals.
According to Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO), who laid out the pending HHS secretary’s promises in a thread on X, RFK also “supports reinstating the ban on Title X funds going to organizations that promote abortion.”

Cooking oils that include those most commonly used by Americans have been cited in two separate studies as having links to increased rates of cancer.
One study that sought to estimate the health risks from seed oils such as canola oil, corn oil and cottonseed oil, found that men on the low end of seed oil consumption had slower-growing prostate cancer than men at the high end of seed oil consumption, according to the U.K. Daily Mail.
Seed oils contain high amounts of omega-6 fats which some studies have said can be linked to cancer growth. In contrast, omega-3 fats, found in fish, are generally thought to be healthier.
Dr. William Aronson, a professor of urology at UCLA, said:
“Our findings suggest that something as simple as adjusting your diet could potentially slow cancer growth and extend the time before more aggressive interventions are needed.”
Current medical orthodoxy says seed oils, consumed in moderation, are not a direct cause of cancer.
In the UCLA study, half of the 100 participants ate a diet low in omega-6 fats and high in omega-3 fats. The rest ate as they always had.
The study group ate fewer fried foods, chips and baked goods while eating more foods such as tuna and salmon.
At the end of a year, the study group that altered its diet showed what the Mail called “a 15 percent decrease in signs of tumor aggression,” while the control group “saw a 24 percent increase in the biomarker that suggests cancer aggressiveness.”
Seed oils have also come under attack from United States Secretary of Health and Human Services nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Lab-grown fake meat is close to achieving final approval in Europe and there are lots of unanswered questions about the potential impact on human health.
The European Food Safety Authority’s favorable opinions on a genetically modified organism, or GMO, yeast-derived fake meat ingredient are full of data gaps and errors and put public health at risk, according to a new analysis by Claire Robinson of GMWatch and professor Michael Antoniou.
European Food Safety Authority’s food additives and GMO panels said they had no safety concerns about a soy-based fake meat manufactured by Impossible Foods.
The soy-based yeast additive is intended to give the company’s meat substitute products, such as the Impossible Burger, a bleeding appearance and a meaty flavor.
However, these products have never formed part of the human diet and therefore have no history of safe use. It’s now up to EU Member States and the Commission as to whether it is approved for human consumption in the bloc.

Time now for our nightly Worldview Report commentary.
Following days of backdoor scheming, congressional leaders released the text of their 1,547-page spending measure to fund the federal government through March 2025. Deceptively marketed as a “continuing resolution” or CR, the bill bears all the hallmarks of the bloated omnibus packages Speaker Mike Johnson recently promised voters wouldn’t happen under his watch.
Just three months ago, in September, Johnson told reporters:
“We have broken the Christmas omni and I have no intention of going back to that terrible tradition. So, there won’t be a Christmas omnibus.”
Here he is on September 24 promising there would be no omnibus continuing resolution at Christmastime.

And yet, here we go again with another CR. You lied again, Mr. Speaker.
The new CR contains the usual pounds of bloated pork-barrel spending on pet projects that serve no useful purpose other than to help get congressmen reelected.
As Zero Hedge reported, the new spending package isn't just riddled with pork, it's packed full of weaponized pork.
- For starters, it gives the Global Engagement Center, the government's censorship juggernaut, additional funding.
- It includes funding for 12 new biolabs.
- It extends the protection for vaccine makers against legal claims when their products fail to deliver the promised results, which is almost always.
- And it also expands the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness and Response Act, providing funding for more emergency medical countermeasures. Remember that term, medical countermeasures? This is bureaucratic jargon for grabbing new powers for itself to monitor, track and trace the movement of people through vaccine passports, forced masking, systematic testing, and a general harassment of Americans everywhere under the guise of public health.
In short, if this bill passes, we will have funded with our own tax dollars a return to the medical tyranny we experienced on an epic scale during Covid. This time it will come under the cover of bird flu.
This bill must be defeated and replaced with an actual budget.
That does it for this edition of the Worldview Report.
Thanks for tuning in and supporting this broadcast.
Until next time…
