Leading off tonight, a whistleblower has come forward alleging that the Secret Service told former President Donald Trump’s team that it didn’t have sufficient resources to secure a rally the campaign wanted to hold in Wisconsin. 

Senator Josh Hawley revealed that the whistleblower’s allegations were provided to his office.

In a letter to Secret Service Acting Director Ronald Rowe, Hawley asked if the denial occurred noting that, if so, the Secret Service “effectively forced the Trump campaign to cancel an upcoming event in Wisconsin.”

So, now we know the Secret Service director is lying. And it calls into question everything the Secret Service has said about the two Trump assassination plots.

Hawley added that, “Other whistleblowers with knowledge of Secret Service planning protocols allege that failure to provide protection for a major public event is highly unusual and that a sitting president would never be denied resources in this way.”

The Post Millennial reports that Donald Trump was briefed on Tuesday about “real and specific threats” from Iran to assassinate the former president. 

Following that, Trump posted: “Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting. Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone. I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before. Thank you to Congress for unanimously approving far more money to Secret Service - Zero 'NO' Votes, strictly bipartisan. Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something. An attack on a former President is a Death Wish for the attacker!”

Trump Campaign Communications Director Steven Cheung said that Iran’s efforts to assassinate the Republican presidential candidate is part of the Islamic Republic’s efforts to “destabilize and sow chaos in the United States.” There have been two assassination attempts on Trump in the past few months, the first in Butler, PA and the second in West Palm Beach, FL.

Cheung said, “Intelligence officials have identified that these continued and coordinated attacks have heightened in the past few months, and law enforcement officials across all agencies are working to ensure President Trump is protected and the election is free from interference.”

Breitbart reports that more American adults identify as Republican than Democrat in the third quarter of a presidential year for the first time in recorded history, Gallup revealed Tuesday.

The finding is significant because party identification is a strong indicator of party preferences leading into November’s presidential, House, and Senate elections.

48 percent of American adults identify as Republican or leaning Republican, while only 45 percent identify as Democrat or leaning Democrat, Gallup reported.

Party affiliation and voting are strongly predictive of individuals’ vote choices, with the vast majority of identifiers and leaners voting for the candidate of their preferred party. 

At the aggregate level, there are typically more Democrats and Democratic leaners than Republicans in the U.S. adult population. Democrats have won presidential elections in years in which they had larger-than-normal advantages in party affiliation, including 1992, 1996, 2008, 2012 and 2020.

In years when the advantage was narrower, 2004 and 2016, for example, Republicans won in the electoral college if not also the popular vote.

Republicans previously have not had an outright advantage in party affiliation during the third quarter of a presidential election year, and they have rarely outnumbered Democrats in election and nonelection years over the past three decades.

Gallup based its figures on average polling between July and September across presidential years.

Despite Ukrainian President Zelensky’s optimism about his country’s battlefield chances against Russia, Reuters is reporting more bad news for Kiev, centering on rapid gains as another key stronghold is about to fall to the Russians.

Arizonia Republican Congressman Eli Crane, who is a former Navy Seal, posted to X:

“Zelensky is pulling out all the stops in a final push to wring U.S. taxpayers for more money. He knows the policies of unlimited funding and escalation supported by the Harris-Biden Admin have an expiration date.”

Reuters writes:

“Russian forces have begun storming the eastern Ukrainian town of Vuhledar, a stronghold that has resisted Russian attack since the beginning of the 2022 war, according to Russian war bloggers and state media. Russian forces in eastern Ukraine advanced at their fastest rate in two years in August, according to multiple open-source maps, even though a Ukrainian incursion into Russia's Kursk region sought to force Moscow to divert troops.”

Czech President Petr Pavel, a former NATO general, has told the New York Times in an interview that Ukraine needs to be “realistic” about its goals in the war and that the most likely outcome of the conflict is that Ukraine will have to concede some territories.

The admission that Ukraine may have to cede territory is especially surprising from Pavel, who the New York Times describes as one of the most steadfast supporters of Ukraine.

He told the newspaper:

“The most probable outcome of the war will be that a part of Ukrainian territory will be under Russian occupation, temporarily.” 

However, the “temporary” occupation could last years, according to Pavel, who is currently visiting the U.S.

He cited war fatigue after 19 months of war and that conflict was “growing everywhere.” Under such a scenario, Ukraine “will have to be realistic” about how likely it is to recover territory from Russia.

In a decision that could end the practice of water fluoridation in the U.S., a federal judge late Tuesday ruled that water fluoridation at current U.S. levels poses an “unreasonable risk” of reduced IQ in children.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency can no longer ignore that risk, and must take regulatory action, Judge Edward Chen of the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of California wrote in the long-awaited landmark decision.

More than 200 million Americans drink water treated with fluoride at the “optimal” level of 0.7 milligrams per liter. 

However, Chen ruled that a preponderance of scientific evidence shows this level of fluoride exposure may damage human health, particularly that of pregnant mothers and young children.

The verdict delivers a major blow to the EPA, public health agencies like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and professional lobbying groups like the American Dental Association, which have staked their reputations on the claim that water fluoridation is one of the greatest public health achievements of the 20th century and an unqualified public good.

Fluoride proponents refused to reexamine that stance despite mounting scientific evidence from top researchers and government agencies of fluoride’s neurotoxic risks, particularly on the developing brains of infants and toddlers.

Instead, they attempted to weaken and suppress the research and discredit the scientists carrying it out.

Rick North, board member of Fluoride Action Network, one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit, told The Defender, “What’s false is the CDC claiming that fluoridation is one of the 10 greatest health achievements of the 20th century. What’s true is that ending fluoridation will be one of the 10 greatest health achievements of the 21st century.”

Michael Connett, attorney for the plaintiffs, said:

“The judge did what EPA has long refused to do, and that is to apply the EPA standard risk assessment framework to fluoride. In so doing, the court has shown that the widespread exposure to fluoride that we now have in the United States is unreasonably and precariously close to the levels that we know cause harm.”

The EPA can appeal Tuesday’s decision. The agency told The Defender it is reviewing the decision and has no comment at this time. The U.S. Department of Justice, which represents the EPA in the lawsuit, also said it has no comment.

New York City’s disgraced former COVID czar, Dr. Jay Varma, has been caught seemingly admitting that he used the media to “spin stories” about a monkeypox drug manufactured by his former employer, SIGA Technologies.

The New York Post reports that comments were revealed in a highly edited trailer for part two of a series of secretly recorded conversations with an undercover operative from conservative podcaster Steven Crowder’s Mug Club. 

The edited clips of Varma, released Wednesday, were reportedly filmed on a hidden camera between July 27 and August 14 in New York.

In the latest video, Varma, who previously served as senior health adviser to then-Mayor Bill de Blasio and was responsible for running the Big Apple’s pandemic response, described the Food and Drug Administration approval process while discussing SIGA Technologies’ Monkeypox drug.

One drug is called TPOXX.

He can be heard saying on the recording:

“That’s why spinning it in the media is helpful. We want the FDA to approve our drugs, specifically for monkeypox, and right now it’s only considered experimental and they won’t approve it.”

In the U.S., TPOXX is not approved by the FDA for the treatment of Monkeypox but can be used to treat patients as part of an ongoing clinical trial known as the Study of TPOXX for Human Mpox Virus or STOMP, according to SIGA Technologies. 

The company’s website added that the STOMP trial is being conducted to evaluate the efficacy of TPOXX for the treatment of Monkeypox.

Varma then griped in the video filmed on August 14 that his then-employer is “stuck with our drug” but people aren’t going to be “as confident in it because the data doesn’t look as strong as it should. Sometimes you do a study, and this f---ing … nothing works at all, or people get really sick from it.”

In the videos, Varma then gloated about how he “knows the reporters well,” and referenced a September interview with the New York Times on Monkeypox, which touted TPOXX as a key drug used to treat Mpox infection.

Varma also described the World Health Organization’s “emergency authorization” process before explaining how he wants the media to report on TPOXX.

Breitbart reports that Alex Jones’ Infowars media platform and its assets will be sold off in auctions this fall to help pay the more than $1 billion he owes relatives of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Alex Jones‘ Infowars media platform and its assets will be sold off piece by piece under an order expected to be approved by a federal judge.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez in Houston said during a court hearing Tuesday that he will approve the auctions that start in November. But he said he first must change a previous order to make it clear that the trustee overseeing Jones’ personal bankruptcy case controls all the assets of Infowars parent company Free Speech Systems, which is owned 100% by Jones.

Despite the pending loss of his company, Jones vows to continue his talk shows through other means, possibly including a new website and his personal social media accounts. He also has suggested that Infowars’ assets could be bought by his supporters, allowing him to continue hosting his show as an employee under the Infowars brand in their home city of Austin, Texas.

“It’s very cut and dry that the assets of Free Speech Systems, the website, the equipment, the shopping cart, all that, can be sold,” Jones said on a recent show. “And they know full well that there are a bunch of patriot buyers, and then the operation can ease on.”

Popular social media and private messaging app Telegram, lauded as being a true and final protector of free speech and user privacy, has recently updated its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy that says the platform will now fork over users’ IP addresses and phone numbers to the government upon request.

The move comes after Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov was arrested in France on August 24th, after years of scrutiny from Western governments and media for not regulating and censoring its user base.

As of Tuesday, Telegram has updated its privacy policy and terms of service, which say it will now provide IP addresses and phone numbers at the behest of police if the app’s rules are violated. Telegram has also updated its AI search system, limiting “inappropriate content.”

Durov said in a post on Telegram: “We’ve made it clear that the IP addresses and phone numbers of those who violate our rules can be disclosed to relevant authorities in response to valid legal requests.” 

He added that dedicated moderators leveraging AI have updated Telegram Search to be “much safer,” and that “all the problematic content we identified in Search is no longer accessible.”

Hearings held by the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government typically prove to be a potent mix of fascinating, frustrating, maddening, and hilarious. 

A former FBI staff operations specialist choked up Wednesday as he told lawmakers on Capitol Hill about his years of suffering for lawfully expressing dissent — one of many retaliatory actions deemed “highly inappropriate” by the Justice Department’s inspector general.

Marcus Allen, whose attorneys reached a settlement with the bureau earlier this year, told the Judiciary Subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government that higher-ups “accused me of promoting conspiratorial views and unreliable information” for questioning how many confidential informants were present at the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Allen testified about the 27 months he was held in “indefinite limbo” by the FBI.

“The FBI questioned my allegiance to the United States, suspended my security clearance, suspended my pay and refused to allow me to obtain outside employment or even accept charity.”

Allen has been put through a meat grinder by the FBI for daring to question some of its more outrageous actions. 

In fact, as recently cited by the Empower Oversight letter directed to Jim Jordan (R-OH), chair of the subcommittee, an FBI Miami field unit head Jeffrey Veltri “made comments suggesting Mr. Allen was delusional for referring to his religious belief instead of secular, moral or ethical reasons for disclosing wrongdoing. The implication to others …was that Veltri believed Mr. Allen’s Christian beliefs as a devout Catholic were a reason to revoke his access to classified information.”

Allen, a former Marine before joining the FBI, told lawmakers at Wednesday’s hearing:

“Despite the stress and uncertainty, I’ve never once regretted standing up for truth. Indeed, my family and I persevered due to our strength in faith, God’s grace and the sacraments.”

This is the type of corruption we’ve seen other FBI agents reveal over the last several years. I’ve interviewed several of them myself. It seems that if you were a man of high moral character and Christian faith, you became the enemy in the eyes of the FBI. You were expected to shut your mouth and go along with the corrupt program. Those who couldn’t hold their tongue were ruthlessly rooted out of the agency. 

If Donald Trump somehow gets back in office, one of the first orders of business needs to be a thorough house cleaning of this corrupt and dangerous federal agency.
