President-elect Donald Trump said Thursday he will nominate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as secretary of the Health and Human Services Department.

If the Senate approves Kennedy, the former independent presidential candidate will lead a sprawling department responsible for the huge Medicare and Medicaid health coverage programs, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

As HHS secretary, Kennedy will be in a position to overhaul and remake what he and others believe has become and entirely corrupt U.S. healthcare regulatory system. It’s a system that includes revolving doors with private industry, and that colludes with Big Pharma and Big Agriculture to poison Americans for profit.

In announcing Trump’s nomination of Kennedy, the corrupt corporate media outlet CNBC, reported none of Kennedy’s accomplishments, describing him only as a “vaccine skeptic” and “conspiracy theorist.”

Trump in October said that if he was elected, he would let Kennedy “go wild on health.”

In a post to Truth Social, Trump wrote, “I am thrilled to announce Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health.”

Trump added that:

“The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis in this Country.”

Kennedy told NBC News in a recent interview that Trump has said he wants Kennedy to “clean up corruption” at federal health agencies, return those agencies to science-based policies and “make America healthy again.” 

Kennedy said “there are entire departments, like the nutrition department at the FDA, that have to go.”

Stock prices of vaccine makers fell earlier Thursday on reports that Trump would tap Kennedy for the HHS post.

The announcement of the RFK Jr. nomination came on the 38th anniversary of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act.

A 28-year-old Muslim man from Houston, Texas, is in custody and accused of plotting a terrorist attack in the city, FBI officials said.

Houston Public Media reports that Anas Said is accused of planning a terrorist attack and attempting to provide material support to ISIS.

FBI officials allege that Said admitted to planning the terror attack from his far west Houston apartment.

Officials said he also admitted to researching how to conduct an attack on local military recruiting centers, offering his home as a safe sanctuary to ISIS operatives, bragging he would commit a 9/11-style attack if he had the resources and attempting to produce ISIS propaganda.

Said allegedly produced five videos and made two images for dissemination. Officials said he became increasingly radicalized in the wake of the October 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas against Israel.

Said was taken into custody last week, according to officials.

Douglas Williams, FBI Houston Special Agent in Charge, said Said has been on the radar of the FBI Houston Joint Terrorist Task Force since 2017.

The FBI announced Said’s arrest in a Thursday morning news conference. He was taken into custody on November 8 and authorities said he threw his cellular phone on the ground in an attempt to shatter and break it before his arrest that day.

Said was born in Houston, but he and his family moved back to Lebanon shortly after. He lived there until 2014.

Said faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

Politico reports that two federal judges postponed trials for January 6 defendants after Trump won the 2024 presidential election in a landslide.

Judges Carl Nichols, a Trump appointee and Rudolph Contreras, an Obama appointee, moved to delay the trials on Thursday because they don’t want to use resources if Trump is going to pardon J6ers as promised.

According to the Justice Department, approximately 944 January 6 defendants, mostly peaceful first-time offenders, have received sentences for their activity at the US Capitol.

Approximately 562 January 6 defendants have been sentenced to prison.

Politico reported that, over the objection of the U.S. Justice Department, the two judges said they wanted to conserve court resources and avoid hauling in dozens of potential jurors for cases that might be called off in a few weeks.

It’s the first time federal judges have acquiesced to the demands of Jan. 6 defendants for delays in anticipation of potential pardons from Trump, who has pledged to grant clemency to all non-violent J6 prisoners.

The judges overseeing the January 6th cases remained defiant after the Supreme Court reversed the “obstruction” statute.

Over the summer, the US Supreme Court delivered a major blow to the corrupt Biden DOJ by overturning the Department of Justice’s use of a statute pertaining to obstruction of an official proceeding, in cases related to the events of January 6th. 

This is a huge development, and long overdue. We appear to be seeing the first chink in the armor of the corrupt two-tiered legal system that puts non-violent Americans away for months or in some cases years, simply because their political views challenged the legitimacy of the government and media establishment.

The Libertarian Institute reports that a top NATO official admitted that the Western military alliance would already have its troops in Ukraine to drive out Russian soldiers if Russia did not possess nuclear weapons. 

Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Dutch Admiral Rob Bauer, explained to the International Institute for Strategic Studies’ Prague Defense Summit in the Czech Republic that Russia’s nuclear weapons are deterring a NATO deployment to Ukraine.

"I am absolutely sure if the Russians did not have nuclear weapons, we would have been in Ukraine, kicking them out," he stated. 

I would go further and say that NATO would already have had a massive military base with thousands of troops stationed in Ukraine if not for the fact of Russian nuclear deterrence.

Bauer said the challenge for the West is finding where Russia’s redlines on nuclear use are, noting that Washington mistakenly miscalculated that sending tanks and F-16s to Ukraine were the Kremlin’s redlines. 

Admiral Bauer was discussing the difference between the Ukraine conflict and other NATO wars such as the Afghanistan occupation. He stated the main difference between Moscow and Kabul is Russia’s nuclear stockpile.

In Afghanistan, American and NATO forces quickly forced the Taliban from Kabul in 2001. Then, the Western alliance engaged in a two-decade nation-building project while the Taliban fought using insurgent tactics. 

The top NATO official went on to say the Afghan War was not of strategic importance. "Afghanistan was never of strategic importance. If we’re really honest Afghanistan was not of strategic importance."

He continued, “We spent 20 years there and we did a lot of things and people lost their lives but if you ask the question, ‘was it of strategic importance?’ In Afghanistan, the answer is no.”

Bauer argued that Ukraine is strategically important to NATO because the bloc is defending the "rules-based international order."

The Washington Post reports that Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Thursday christened a huge new port in Peru, expected to attract $3.6 billion in investment over the next decade, creating a direct route across the Pacific Ocean and extending Beijing’s influence in Latin America.

The port opening, which comes ahead of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum and Xi’s final meeting with President Joe Biden, underscores China’s growing clout in a region that once looked primarily to the United States for economic opportunity.

Chinese companies are involved in almost every aspect of the deep-water port in Chancay, which sits 50 miles north of Peru’s capital, Lima.

The high-tech logistics hub will be exclusively operated by Chinese shipping giant Cosco, which in 2019 invested $1.3 billion to take a 60 percent stake in the project. 

The first phase, building a port that will handle only smaller ships, is expected to begin operations this month.

Its automated cargo cranes are supplied by a Chinese company that congressional investigators have said poses a security risk to U.S. ports. Electric driverless trucks made by Chinese companies will be used to handle containers and cargo.

The level of Chinese interest and involvement in Chancay has drawn warnings from the United States about Peru potentially being used by Chinese military ships as a foothold in the Americas.

General Laura Richardson, the recently retired former head of U.S. Southern Command, said in a recent interview with the Financial Times that the port could easily host Chinese warships following a “playbook that we’ve seen play out in other places.” Beijing has denied the project is motivated by anything other than commercial interest.

Ryan Berg, director of the Americas Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said:

“The Chinese are not necessarily interested in a grand display and stationing a warship there, but they like to know it’s an option.”

Chinese and Peruvian officials have celebrated the project as a transformative opportunity for Peru to become a central hub for South American goods from its biggest trading partner.

British supermodel Georgina Cooper has tragically died suddenly, according to reports.

The fashion icon of the so-called Cool Britania era was just 46 years old when she passed away unexpectedly.

Cooper, a catwalk star dubbed the “original gap-toothed girl” due to her distinctive smile, died during a vacation in Greece.

The model, who graced the covers of top fashion magazines such as Vogue and The Face, died on a Greek island just months after she married, The Daily Mail reported.

A new report claims the FBI seized the phone and electronics of Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan in a pre-dawn SWAT team raid on Wednesday. 

The FBI raid comes just one week after the betting platform successfully predicted that Donald Trump was going to defeat Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

An anonymous source with knowledge of the FBI raid told The New York Post that the 26-year-old Polymarket CEO woke up to law enforcement officers raiding his apartment in Manhattan at 6 a.m. on Wednesday. During the FBI raid, officers reportedly forced Coplan to surrender his phone and other electronics.

A source with knowledge of Wednesday’s FBI raid told Bloomberg that the U.S. Justice Department is investigating the betting platform for allegedly allowing individuals in the U.S. to make trades on the platform. According to the outlet, an agreement Polymarket made with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in 2022 requires the betting platform to prevent individuals in the United States from making financial transactions on the platform.

The New York Post reported that the FBI raid against Coplan took place a week after the Polymarket CEO announced that the betting platform was planning to return to the United States.

A source told The Post that FBI officials did not tell Coplan the reason behind Wednesday’s raid. 

The source described the raid as “grand political theater at its worst. They could have asked his lawyer for any of these things. Instead, they staged a so-called raid so they can leak it to the media and use it for obvious political reasons.”

On his way out the door of the White House, Joe Biden is imposing a new tax on the oil and gas industry, this one on methane emissions.

Red State reports that Biden's Environmental Protection Agency finalized a new rule Tuesday, taxing methane emissions from the oil and gas sector.

The new tax was born out of Biden's sweeping climate legislation passed by Congress, known as the Inflation Reduction Act.

The Act included a provision for a so-called Waste Emissions Charge. Although the charge was mandated by Congress, the Biden administration had discretion on how tightly to clamp down. 

The fee will start at $900 per metric ton of methane emitted over a specific performance level during 2024. The fee is scheduled to increase in 2025, to $1,200 per metric ton. In 2026, it will increase to $1,500 per ton.

The fee won't actually continue to rise, however, because in January, Lee Zeldin will be taking over the EPA. We suspect one of his first orders of business will be to kill the methane tax.

Advance Auto Parts reported a third-quarter loss, slashed its full-year outlook, and announced plans to close hundreds of stores and distribution centers by summer 2025. 

The nation’s top automotive aftermarket parts provider for professionals and do-it-yourself consumers is experiencing softening demand for vehicle parts, as elevated inflation and broader economic pressures left fewer consumers repairing their vehicles. 

Advance Auto's board approved a restructuring plan to reduce its US footprint by 700 stores and four distribution centers by mid-2025. Plans to slash jobs were also in place, yet official figures were not given. The company has about 5,000 stores nationwide.

After 25 years of blasting out controversial news and analysis, Infowars is off the air.

Hours after yesterday's bankruptcy auction, Infowars.com died a sudden death. The conservative news network founded by Alex Jones officially went off the air around noon on Thursday, November 14. It was driven into bankruptcy by a massive civil judgment awarded to the families of the Sandy Hook school shooting who sued Jones and his network for $1.4 billion in a massive defamation lawsuit.

Jones said Thursday that the bankruptcy court refused to award the company to the highest and most qualified bidder. Instead, a low bidder with a left-wing ideology was chosen to take over the company name and its assets.

Zero Hedge reported that “the leftist-satirical rag The Onion announced on Thursday that it had won a bankruptcy auction to acquire Infowars - the website founded and operated by Alex Jones since 1999.”

On Wednesday, Jones said the auction's trustee could choose any bidder it wanted, not necessarily the high bidder. Jones announced the sale on X Thursday morning, writing:

"I just got word 15 minutes ago that my lawyers and folks met with the U.S. trustee over our bankruptcy this morning and they said they are shutting us down even without a court order this morning. The Connecticut democrats with The Onion newspaper bought us."

The Onion told the NY Times that its bid was approved by the families of the victims of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The Onion did not disclose the price it paid for Infowars and its assets, including Jones' production studio and his supplements business.

Ben Collins, CEO of The Onion parent company, Global Tetrahedron, says he plans to relaunch Infowars in January as a parody of itself, mocking conservatives.

In the end, Jones said it was federal agents who stormed into his studio and pulled the plug on his internet connection. Consider this a parting shot from the weaponized U.S. Justice Department. It was more than a glancing blow to free speech and not the only one launched under Joe Biden. Don’t forget they also arrested former Trump advisors Steve Bannon, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Peter Navarro and George Papadopoulos, among others.

They locked up elderly women for praying outside of abortion clinics.

This assault on the First Amendment and Fourth Amendments must stop. I implore the new Attorney General, Matt Gaetz, if he is confirmed, to investigate and if necessary prosecute all federal law enforcement officials who gave orders to illegally target Americans for their political beliefs, whether that was J6rs or pro-lifers, or Trump supporters.

If they are not punished, you can rest assured these corrupt government agents will come at us harder than ever as soon as they return to power.
