A Day in the Life of One of our Columnist

A Day in the Life of One of our Columnist<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
The following was posted on Ingrid Schlueter's website about her day. This is a very good example of how hard many of our columnists are working to speak Biblical truth to a nation that so desperately needs to be discipled. Ingrid's post also documents what she and Brannon faced on Tuesday when they were both willing to take on an important but controversial topic on live radio.

What an incredible day. If you wondered why Slice was a little quiet today, I was more than usually occupied at the radio studios. At 9 AM I had an interview with a journalist in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Jerusalem on the impending crash of the Lebanese government which is expected to fall to Hizballah soon. At 10:00 took my son to his piano lessons. At 12:00 met a friend from the VCY America studios for lunch. At 1:15 did a 30 minute interview with Dr. Noah Hutchings from Southwest Radio Church on the Purpose Driven mess. At 2:00 I did a Crosstalk radio program on the same. At 3:00 walked out of the studio only to learn that Brannon Howse was guest hosting on a Salem station in San Antonio for three hours and wanted me to do the first hour on Rick Warren's Syrian misadventure. It turned out to be two hours as the lines were jammed on the drive time show that covers a whole chunk of South Texas. I was interested in the callers on the show who were shocked, (two callers used that word) to hear anything negative about Mr. Warren's movement. The first few were extremely hostile but the last four made the entire two hours worthwhile. One Sunday school teacher called in genuinely asking, "How can I know if I am using biblically solid materials when this new stuff is getting more subtle all the time?" We had the chance to point listeners back to the Scriptures and the old paths and again and again drive home the point that Bereans studied the Word and compared all they heard with that unchanging and absolute standard for truth. It has been an exhausting day, but one in which I feel the truth went out!
