We are told of widespread death and crippling economic shutdowns which are prompting some to ask, “Is COVID-19 a plague of the Tribulation?” And yet others are asking if the vaccine is the Mark of the Beast.

Jesus said, “Everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. If the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed.” That’s great news! Freedom is more than avoiding jail. Freedom is living without the shackles of sin.

Russia apparently has executed the most sophisticated and potentially most dangerous cyber-attack in history on the U.S. Government and private sector, penetrating the defenses of even the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)—that is supposed to be the chief guardian against such threats to U.S. critical infrastructures. For at least 9 months, cyber-spies roamed undetected through: the National Nuclear Security Administration (responsible for U.S. nuclear weapons); the Department of Energy and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (responsible for protecting national electric grids); defense contractors designing the nation’s most advanced weapons; and 18,000 other government and corporate victims. Still unknown is the scale and depth of the damage.

United We Stand, Divided We Fall (Program 34)

–More money was spent on non-COVID items than on true COVID relief in the roughly 2.4 trillion dollar pandemic spending package.  It’s a whopping 5,593 pages long and legislators had only hours to review it.
–Kentucky Senator Rand Paul denounced the COVID relief bill, saying that it’s everything Republicans say they don’t believe in.   

With joyful carols filling the air, the Christmas season is upon us. Economy experts say the season is pivotal for retailers, and during this time of year many get caught up in the materialistic desires of our culture. It’s sad that so much darkness is around us, but that’s why we look to Jesus as our source of light.
